Elven cultivators

Chapter 45 Seller's Market

Roman chuckled and waved his axe, offering no rebuttal.

She did benefit from the weapon; otherwise, she would most likely not have been a match for this dwarf who had already reached the upper-level silver rank.

"Shut up, Grimm."

The dwarf standing next to the Third Elder suddenly spoke, his copper bell-like eyes staring at the red-bearded dwarf.

"Being weaker is being weaker. What's the point of complaining about weapons? It's a disgrace to dwarves!"

"When you encounter an enemy in the future, can you ask them to change their weapons?"

Grimm was scolded until his face turned red, and he remained silent.

The Warhammer Dwarf snorted coldly, turned to look at the Third Elder, and his expression had returned to normal.

"Elder Cassian, your Silvermoon Clan is truly outstanding among the younger generation. Even an underage elf is so remarkable. I am truly envious."

"Elder Thorvin, you flatter me." The Third Elder laughed heartily.

The four dwarves standing behind the dwarf elder looked at each other with strange expressions.

It wasn't that they disagreed with their elders' words; it was simply because it was the first time they had seen elves wielding battle axes as weapons and fighting with such fierce style.

In their understanding, elves have always been known for their agility and speed in combat, excelling in archery and swordsmanship, and dancing gracefully in the forest.

But this elven girl in front of them was even more savage and brutal than the dwarves when she fought; she was practically a berserker in elven skin.

"Elder Cassian, may I ask where that young girl named Roman learned those combat techniques she just displayed?"

Elder Torvin's eyes shone brightly, and his tone carried a hint of curiosity.

He could clearly see that the combat techniques Roman used had both the shadow of combat techniques and traces of magic, much like the legendary magical combat techniques.

Magic combat techniques can only be used by those who are proficient in both magic and martial arts, and that elven girl doesn't seem to be one of them.

This left him somewhat puzzled.

The Third Elder said with a smile, "Those combat techniques were created by a young fellow in our clan. It wouldn't be wrong to call them demonic combat techniques, but ordinary warriors can also learn them."

Upon hearing this, Elder Torwin and the dwarves were immediately taken aback.

Even Grimm stared in shock, his fiery red beard trembling slightly.

Only those who cultivate both magic and martial arts can master magical combat techniques; this is almost an ironclad rule in the Dawn Continent.

But now someone is telling them that ordinary soldiers can also master magic combat skills?

If it weren't for the fact that these words came from a dignified elder of the elven clan, and that Roman's performance in battle just now was still fresh in their minds, they would never have believed it.

"I wonder who the creator is?" Elder Torwin asked eagerly.

Just as the Third Elder was about to speak, he caught a glimpse of two figures walking towards them out of the corner of his eye. Upon closer inspection, he recognized them as Anton and Eleanor.

"You've come at the perfect time." The Third Elder smiled and beckoned to Anton. "Anton, come over here."

Anton stepped forward as instructed, bowed slightly to the Third Elder, and then looked at the dwarves with a calm expression.

"He is the one who created those combat techniques," the Third Elder explained.

The dwarf elder looked Anton up and down, his eyes filled with astonishment.

The young elven man before them looked far too young; by elven standards, he was probably not even an adult yet.

Is this young kid really the creator of those special magical combat techniques?

Let alone magical combat techniques, even creating a completely new ordinary combat technique is not something an ordinary person can do.

Only the most experienced combat masters among the dwarves possess such abilities.

Seemingly sensing Elder Torvin's doubt, the Third Elder chuckled and said, "Don't underestimate Anton just because he's young. His alchemy skills surpass those of many of the older spellcasters in our clan."

The Third Elder pointed to the Frost-Patterned Axe in Roman's hand, "That axe was forged by Anton."

These words moved the dwarf elder and the other dwarves.

In order to persuade Greyrock Keep to cooperate, the Silvermoon Clan frankly revealed their purpose in developing the Frostweave Silver Mine, and the dwarves naturally learned of the existence of the Frostweave Axe.

The dwarves showed unprecedented curiosity and admiration for this magical item, which was of excellent quality but cost far below normal standards.

In particular, the strange yet unique runes on the Frost-Patterned Axe really struck a chord with them.

If the Frost-Patterned Axe hadn't belonged to someone else, they would have loved to disassemble it and study it.

They were also filled with curiosity about the creator of the Frost-Patterned Axe.

The dwarves believed that anyone capable of forging magical items of this quality must be a seasoned and experienced alchemist.

Who would have thought it was an underage elf!

This is even more shocking than telling them that a human child killed a dragon.

After a long moment of stunned silence, Elder Torwin exclaimed with a complex expression, "I've lived for over three hundred years, and this is the first time I've ever seen such a young alchemist."

The dwarves behind him looked at Anton with curiosity and admiration.

It is well known that dwarves admire and like two types of people the most.

One type is those with a high alcohol tolerance.

Another type is the one with a high level of forging skill.

Eleanor stood to the side, observing the changes in the dwarves' expressions, her own expression slightly strange.

If these dwarves knew that Anton not only had an amazing talent for alchemy, but was also outstanding in potion-making, having already improved several new potions with powerful effects, they would probably be ecstatic.

Nevertheless, the dwarves were already quite enthusiastic towards Anton.

Grimm also took off the wine pouch from his waist and warmly invited Anton to taste the fiery liquor, a specialty of Greyrock Castle.

After the commotion, the Third Elder had the dwarves settled in.

After the dwarven delegation left, he stopped smiling and turned to look at Anton.

"The negotiations went smoothly. Grayrock Fortress is very interested in the Frostweave Silver Vein and is willing to contribute manpower and resources to develop it with us."

"They sent people here this time to conduct an on-site survey of the conditions of the Thousand Rock Hills and to finalize the details of the cooperation."

Anton nodded without saying anything.

His only target was Frost-patterned Silver; as for the more specific distribution of profits and personnel allocation, he naturally left those to the experienced elders.

He won't get involved, nor does he have the energy or time.

"However, those dwarves are more interested in frost-patterned weapons." The Third Elder changed the subject, a deeper meaning flashing in his eyes. "The reason they were circling around you just now wasn't just because they admired your talent, but more because they wanted to buy a batch of frost-patterned weapons from you."

Anton smiled slightly, not surprised.

The power of frost-patterned weapons is undeniable, and given the dwarves' passion for weapons, it would be strange if they weren't interested.

"The Frostweave weapons can be sold," Anton said, "but there's no rush. Let's keep them hanging for now."

The Third Elder paused slightly, then asked, "You mean...?"

"They won't pay a high price for something that's too easy to get." Anton's eyes flashed. "Let's whet their appetite first. Once the mine development is on track and the supply of Frostweave Silver is stable, we'll use Frostweave weapons as leverage to persuade them to join forces with us against the Molten Thorn Tribe."

The Third Elder's eyes lit up, and he burst into laughter.

"Good lad, you're quick-witted!"

He patted Anton on the shoulder, "Then let's do it your way. With these dwarves from Grayrock Fortress who can fight tough battles, we might really be able to completely eliminate the Molten Thorn tribe, this major threat."

Anton smiled and nodded.

Although the Frostweave weapons have undergone localization modifications, they are essentially still based on the same rune-based weapon system.

The two systems are completely different, and no matter how skilled the dwarves are at forging, they could not possibly replicate them.

If they still want the Frostweave weapons, they have to agree to the Silvermoon Clan's conditions.

This is the source of confidence in a seller's market.
