Elven cultivators
Chapter 5: Cultivating Immortality Still Has the Upper Hand
Anton was unaware of Darian's and the other two's thoughts; at this moment, his mind was completely absorbed in his body.
Under the scan of spiritual sense, every detail of the body was clearly visible.
A faint, luminous trace of light was lingering deep within his spiritual sea, constantly absorbing the surrounding elemental energy, compressing and storing it.
"So that's how it is, this is magic."
After personally participating in the process of gathering magic, Anton gained a deeper understanding of this native energy.
The process of condensing magic power is essentially a physical process of absorbing, compressing, and storing elemental energy.
Magic is essentially elemental energy with a higher density; the two are still the same type of energy.
But spiritual energy is different.
The refining of spiritual energy in cultivation is more like a chemical process.
Cultivators absorb the energy of heaven and earth into their bodies, and through the complex transformation of their cultivation techniques, they remove impurities, condense and sublimate it, ultimately forming their own unique innate spiritual energy.
The spiritual energy is no longer the same as the energy of heaven and earth, but is a purer and higher-level energy that bears the unique mark of a cultivator.
To give an analogy, if magic is the 'original fluid of elements,' then spiritual energy is the 'essence of elements.'
Not to mention that primordial spiritual energy is one of the finest spiritual energies.
The energy densities of the two are vastly different.
"Since my body can contain spiritual energy, it can certainly contain an equal amount of magic power. As long as the total amount of spiritual energy increases, expanding the magic power circuit will be a natural process."
"The cultivation system is still superior."
Anton sighed and then exited his meditative state.
As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw three pairs of eyes staring intently at him, each with a different expression.
Eamon and Brendan made no attempt to hide their envy and shock.
While Darian was amazed, there was also a hint of relief and surprise in his eyes.
"teacher......"
Anton knew very well how astonishing it was that he had constructed a magic circuit on the very first day of his meditation. He was about to explain when Darian interrupted him with a chuckle.
"We never expected that our Silver Moon Clan would produce a genius with a super magic physique. The three elders will surely be very happy to know this."
Super Demon Physique?
Anton blinked in confusion. What was that?
Seeing Anton's puzzled expression, Darian smiled and explained.
Upon hearing this, Anton was utterly astonished.
He didn't recall such a setting in the game; it was a hidden detail that only existed in the real Dawn Continent.
It seems we can no longer judge reality based solely on our understanding of games; the reality of this world is far more complex than game data.
But this is good too. Anton originally planned to find a reason such as "secretly meditating in private," and at worst he would be locked up for a period of time for violating clan rules. Now he has saved himself a lot of trouble.
"Looks like there are advantages to having a genius persona," Anton thought to himself. "Even if something unusual happens to me later, I can blame it on this."
Seeing Anton standing there in a daze, Darian thought he was too surprised, so he smiled and patted him on the shoulder.
"Throughout history, spellcasters with super magical physiques, as long as they don't die prematurely, will generally achieve great things in the future."
"However, don't be too proud. The super magic physique only gives you an advantage in accumulating magic power, but in terms of magic, you are still on the same starting line as everyone else. You still need to cultivate steadily in the future."
Darian glanced at the sky outside the window. "It's getting late. That's all for today's lesson. For the next while, focus on consolidating your magic power. Once it's stable, I'll formally teach you magic."
"Yes, teacher," Anton replied, then suddenly changed the subject, "Teacher, I have a question I'd like to ask you."
"Go ahead," Darian said with a smile.
"What materials do spellcasters typically use to draw scrolls?"
Darian paused slightly, slightly taken aback: "Why did you suddenly ask that?"
He thought Anton would ask some questions about magic.
"I'm rather curious," Anton replied vaguely.
He couldn't very well say that he thought there might be something in common between drawing scrolls and drawing talismans, and that the materials used in the former might be usable for drawing talismans.
Darian glanced at Anton, but didn't think much of it. With a flick of his wrist, a leather-covered notebook appeared out of thin air in his palm and he handed it to Anton.
"These are my notes from when I was learning scroll painting in my early years. I'm giving them to you now. Take them back and study them carefully."
He paused, then solemnly reminded him, "However, your main task right now is to accumulate magic power and learn magic. Once you have enough, it's not too late to learn scroll painting. Don't try to do too much at once."
Anton was overjoyed and quickly accepted the gift with both hands, saying, "I understand, thank you, teacher."
Amon and Braden watched with envy, but they knew that Anton only received this special treatment because of his super-magic physique, so they shouldn't count on it.
As soon as Darian left, Eamon and Braden immediately surrounded Anton.
"Congratulations, Anton, with your super magic physique, you'll definitely become a sage in the future."
"I really envy you for being able to learn magic so quickly."
The two changed their previous distant attitude and became exceptionally warm.
Anton didn't mind and chatted with them casually.
Having lived two lives, he is more mature than his peers in many ways and can understand the previous actions of the two people.
If it were him, he wouldn't actively approach a freak who doesn't fit in with normal people.
Only after leaving the Magic District and seeing Roman waiting outside did Eamon and Braden tactfully take their leave.
"Anton, who are they?" Roman walked over carrying an axe, eyeing the two men's backs suspiciously.
"New recruits who, like me, have been selected for magic training," Anton said.
"It's rare to see someone willing to approach a freak like you," Roman remarked.
What right do you, a weird elf who wields an axe, have to talk to me?
Anton rolled his eyes and casually asked, "How was the combat skills class?"
"It went very smoothly." Roman puffed out his chest triumphantly. "My mentor praised my strength and said my fighting style is very concise."
Anton glanced at her strangely, his lips twitching slightly.
It seems that this year's combat skills instructors are speaking rather reservedly.
"And you, how's your magic class going?"
"It went smoothly; I've already constructed the magic circuit."
Why don't you just say you mastered magic without any instruction?
Roman pursed his lips, clearly not believing a word of it.
Anton chuckled, saying nothing more, waiting to see her get slapped in the face later.
The two joked and bantered as they walked through the tree-lined path in the twilight, quickly returning to the residential area and each going back to their treehouse.
After closing the door, Anton immediately struck the Light Source Stone, sat down at the wooden table, and eagerly opened his notebook to read.
A magic scroll is essentially a scroll with rune patterns of a specific spell drawn on it and sealed using a special method. To use it, simply inject magic power to activate the preset spell within the scroll.
To create a magic scroll, one naturally needs to use various materials that possess spirituality and elemental affinity.
This includes, but is not limited to, magical mineral powders, spiritual plant sap, magical beast blood, fur, scales, and even certain rare bones and crystals.
In terms of material type alone, magic scrolls and cultivation talismans do have a lot in common.
Anton planned to buy all the materials mentioned in the notes and test them one by one to see which one was more suitable as a spirit guide for the talisman.
Although the Silvermoon Clan lives in the forest, they are not isolated from the world. On the contrary, they have trade relations with many surrounding towns, so resources are plentiful and there is no need to worry about not being able to buy the materials they want.
