Chapter 84 You are so smart

Chapter 84 You're So Smart (Bonus Chapter for Monthly Tickets 6/6)

This time, however, their target is the Dragonborn on the west side.

Upon hearing the sound of something cutting through the air behind him, the dragon descendant's expression changed drastically, and he lunged to the left.

The sword flashed past his shoulder armor, leaving a sharp screech in the air and sending up a few tiny sparks.

The moment his feet touched the ground, he sprang to the right like a startled cheetah, sliding almost flat on the ground.

The sword light followed closely behind, sweeping past his head, leaving a deep bloody gash on his scalp, and warm liquid trickling down his forehead.

The dragonborn dodged left and right, leaving a trail of afterimages in the courtyard, trying to shake off the persistent silver light.

No matter how he moved around, the sword light clung to him like a persistent leech, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't create any distance.

The moment his steps slowed slightly, the sword light suddenly shone brightly, piercing through the back of his neck and exiting through his throat like lightning.

His forward momentum suddenly froze, he staggered two steps, fell to the ground, and was silent.

In the blink of an eye, only Wilder remained of the three dragonborn.

Wittling the deaths of his two companions, Wilder was filled with both anger and horror.

He realized almost instantly that, given the extreme speed and unpredictability of that sword light, passively engaging in combat would not lead to a better outcome than that of his two companions.

The only way to break this deadlock is to first eliminate the controller of the sword light.

Once Canglan dies, the sword light will crumble on its own.

In a flash, Wilder made up his mind.

He stopped running, turned around abruptly, cracked the stone slabs beneath his feet, and charged towards Anton like a cannonball.

However, he had only taken two steps when a silver-white sword flashed from the side.

Wilder parried with his sword, sparks flying, his forward momentum abruptly halted.

He gritted his teeth and changed direction, rushing in from the other side, but the sword light followed him like a shadow, blocking his path once again.

The longsword clashed repeatedly with the sword light, each impact numbing his hands and forcing him to slow his pace.

He charged forward, was blocked, charged forward again, was blocked again. No matter how Wilder maneuvered, that sword light always appeared in his path at the crucial moment, like an invisible wall, keeping him ten meters away from Anton.

The stone slab beneath Wilder's feet had shattered into a spiderweb of pits from repeated sprints and sudden stops, but that ten-meter distance seemed like an insurmountable chasm.

Not far away, the middle-aged man, the orc, and the Hydra were mesmerized, their mouths dry, their eyes wide open, unable to utter a word.

Although they had witnessed Duncan's death, the shock they felt upon seeing Anton kill two Gold-ranked Dragonborn without moving an inch, as if slicing vegetables and watermelons, and even suppressing the Gold-ranked Wilder to the point of being unable to lift his head, was still indescribable.

If any one of the three of them were facing Wilder's current offensive, they would probably be overwhelmed and in a sorry state.

But what about Canglan?

He didn't even lift a finger from beginning to end; he effortlessly neutralized all attacks with just that sword light.

Wilder was stronger than his two companions and lasted longer against the sword light, but in the end, he could not change his fate.

More than ten minutes later, his magic power and physical strength were exhausted to the limit, and his movements inevitably became sluggish.

In just a moment of vulnerability, the sword light seized the opportunity, darting in from the blind spot of his block like a venomous snake, and piercing through his shoulder.

Blood splattered, Wilder groaned, and his sword strike faltered.

Immediately afterwards, two more silvery-white lights flashed, and blood splattered from his thigh and ribs at the same time. His whole body suddenly stiffened, and he knelt on one knee.

He gritted his teeth and tried to stand up, but a silvery light struck him like lightning, piercing through his brow.

Wilder's body suddenly stiffened, a deep sense of unwillingness and despair flashed in his eyes, then quickly dimmed, and he fell backward, crashing heavily onto the stone floor.

Blood slowly seeped from beneath him, gleaming darkly in the moonlight.

All three high-blood-power dragon descendants have now perished.

A brief silence fell over the courtyard.

The three middle-aged men stared blankly at the scene, their faces utterly lost in thought.

From the start to the end of the battle, Anton remained standing still, without moving an inch, until the battle was over, at which point he finally made a move.

He strode forward and walked to the three dragonborn corpses one by one, putting their bodies into his dimensional bag.

They then went to where Leon and Duncan had fallen and looted all the valuable loot from them.

After doing all this, Anton turned and walked toward Everett.

The latter was bound in place by the binding curse, unable to move, and could only stare wide-eyed as Anton killed three dragonborn, his eyes filled with terror and despair.

Seeing Anton approaching, Everett was about to speak when Anton swiftly dislocated his jaw to prevent him from making a fuss.

Following closely behind, Anton picked him up like a chick and turned to walk towards the back of the courtyard.

Only after Anton's figure disappeared into the shadows behind the courtyard did the middle-aged man let out a long sigh of relief.

Watching his opponent effortlessly eliminate five Gold-rank experts whose strength was comparable to his, it would be impossible not to feel pressure.

Fearing that the enemy might get carried away with the killing and take care of the three of them as well.

Only then did he truly feel relieved.

The orc didn't speak, but silently swallowed, his palms sweating as he gripped his battle axe.

Hydra quickly regained its energy, and the three heads began chattering away again.

"So strong, really so strong, I've never seen anyone this strong before."

"What is that glowing weapon of his? Is it magic? It doesn't seem like it; magic doesn't have that kind of thing."

"Whatever it is, it's amazing."

"Do you think he would be willing to join us?"

The middle head suddenly uttered a sentence, causing the other two heads to freeze in surprise.

"Join the Fallen Dragon Society?" The head on the left tilted its head. "He seems to be hostile to the Dragonborn as well, so maybe he really is willing."

"Should we invite him now?" The right head hesitated. "I'm a little scared."

"Idiot," the middle head cursed. "Why didn't you just send Scott?"

That makes sense.

"You're so smart!"

All three heads turned to look at the middle-aged man.

Scott's face darkened. He wanted to raise his hand to slap the guy on the head, but for a moment he didn't know which head to hit. His hand hovered in mid-air for a moment before he finally lowered it sullenly and said irritably, "Whether or not to invite Canglan to join is a matter for the higher-ups to decide. What are you worrying about?"

"Oh right." All three heads deflated simultaneously.

Scott looked at this clown, shook his head helplessly, and turned to walk out of the courtyard.

"Let's go, the mission is complete, it's time to go back and report."

The orc and Hydra exchanged a glance and quickly followed.

......

Anton carried Everett through the archway at the back of the courtyard and into the corridor.

His divine sense had already spread out, constantly scanning the interiors of the buildings he passed, not even missing the underground.

He could clearly perceive where people were hiding, where there were secret passages, and where the roads led to those places.

He ignored the trembling servants hiding in their rooms, too afraid to come out, and kept moving forward, stepping over one place after another.

Before long, he found his target.

After a few quick movements, Anton passed through a dark passage and stopped in front of a heavy iron door.

The iron gate was tightly closed, and a palm-sized rune stone slab was embedded in the lock, covered with intricate rune circuits.

This is a magic lock; it requires a specific magical item to open. Forcibly breaking it will trigger an alarm.

Anton didn't care about this at all. With a flash of his sword, the iron gate instantly shattered into countless fragments, which crashed to the ground with a thud.

The piercing siren immediately echoed through the night sky.

Anton walked calmly into the warehouse, and Everett was taken in with him.

The warehouse was larger than Anton had anticipated.

It was three or four hundred square meters in size, with no windows, and the walls and ceiling were inlaid with runestone slabs that blocked magical detection.

The light source stone is embedded in the wall, emitting a soft glow that illuminates the entire warehouse.

Rows of metal shelves are neatly arranged and filled with all sorts of items.

Gems, rare minerals, alchemy materials, potion ingredients, magic scrolls, magical items... a dazzling array that makes one's eyes dazzled.

Without exception, everything stored in the Liuhuo Chamber of Commerce headquarters warehouse is a valuable and precious item.

Anton casually tossed Everett into a corner.

The latter fell to the ground with a muffled groan, his face showing an expression as if he had seen a ghost.

He couldn't understand how Anton could find the warehouse just by casually taking a stroll around.

Anton ignored him and began to wander among the shelves.

Wherever he went, the items on the metal shelves vanished into thin air and were stored in his dimensional bag.

After filling the dimensional bag, he found several storage items on the spot and stuffed things into them one by one.

Soon, the warehouse was completely ransacked.

Anton picked up Everett, turned and left the warehouse, continuing his search of the Chamber of Commerce headquarters. He soon found several more places where valuables were hidden.

After a flurry of activity, and once he was sure the looting was complete, Anton finally stopped.

He glanced at Everett, and in the latter's pleading and terrified gaze, a flash of sword light ripped apart his head and heart.

The reason for bringing Everett along was simply to interrogate him in case the warehouse couldn't be found.

Now that the goal has been achieved, there's no need to keep this guy around any longer.

When they passed through the courtyard, the three middle-aged men had already disappeared.

They must have left while he was looting.

As Anton stepped out of the Chamber of Commerce headquarters, he looked up at the sky.

The silver moon still hung high, its cool light spilling onto the empty streets.

In the distance came the sound of hurried footsteps and noisy voices.

Anton scanned the area with his divine sense and saw that the garrison of Bishui Port had arrived.

They were probably alerted by the siren earlier.

He withdrew his gaze, and with a slight thought, the sword pellet leaped from his chest, transforming into a silver-white sword light that enveloped his entire body.

The next instant, the sword light shot into the sky and disappeared into the night sky.

All that remained was a scene of devastation, a yard full of corpses, and the ever-approaching footsteps of the guards.
