Peninsula: Starting with the nation's first love, the white moonlight
Chapter 9 The Embrace Before Parting
On the third day, at six o'clock in the morning again, Lee Luran knocked on Kim Tae-yeon's door precisely on time.
"Good morning, dear Miss X. Here is today's breakfast."
Li Luran stood outside the door and handed over the sandwiches he had packed.
After taking the sandwich, Kim Tae-yeon closed the door and went into the bathroom. Only then did she realize that she had heavy dark circles under her eyes!
Yes, Kim Tae-yeon had insomnia last night.
Actually, the two of them returned to the hotel in the evening yesterday, but she replied to many messages before going to bed, and after finishing, she found that it was already past midnight.
Then, when she closed her eyes, all she could see in her mind was the image of Li Luran carrying her and reeling in the fishing line during the day.
She tossed and turned like that until she finally drifted off to sleep around 3 a.m.
After applying a simple, no-makeup makeup look, Kim Tae-yeon went out.
Today's destination is Glenorchy Ranch. Li Luran rented an SUV and hired a driver.
In the back seat.
Kim Tae-yeon was wearing an oversized hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses today. She was curled up, her head nodding, fast asleep.
Li Luran didn't bother her. He chatted with the driver and enjoyed the scenery along the way.
An hour later, the car slowly came to a stop.
"Gentlemen, we've arrived." The driver parked the car and got out to open the car door for Li Luran.
Li Luran opened the car door, and the air that greeted her was particularly fresh, but also carried a hint of mountain chill.
He went around to the back seat and knocked on the car window.
"Ms. X, it's time to get up."
Kim Tae-yeon rubbed her eyes and groggily pushed open the car door.
The moment she looked up, she froze, her sleepiness vanishing instantly.
What unfolded before her eyes seemed to be the world depicted in the painting.
The vast grasslands are surrounded by mountains, and the rolling green hills stretch all the way to the horizon.
Flocks of sheep graze leisurely on the grassland, and shimmering lakes can be seen everywhere.
Blue skies and white clouds, green grass, no skyscrapers, only the purest natural scenery.
"Great!"
Kim Tae-yeon took off her sunglasses and exclaimed in surprise.
Kim Tae-yeon was dragged out of bed by Li Luran this morning, and although she was still a bit grumpy when she woke up, that has long since been forgotten.
"This is Glenorchy Ranch."
Li Luran walked over to her and handed her a cup of hot coffee. "Let's go see our ride today."
The two followed the farmer toward the stable.
Kim Tae-yeon was like a curious child, looking left and right, and occasionally turning back to ask Lee Lu-ran questions.
"Oh, isn't that an alpaca? It's so cute!"
"Look, look! There are deer and pigs over there!"
She walked ahead with her hands behind her back, skipping and hopping, and seemed to be in a really good mood.
Ten minutes later, the three arrived at the stable.
Inside the stable, there were about a dozen tall horses leisurely chewing hay.
Kim Tae-yeon was initially quite excited, but when she actually stood in front of a fully grown horse, she instantly chickened out.
For someone as short as her, who is less than 1.6 meters tall, the horse was far too large.
Suddenly, the brown horse in front of them seemed to notice the group of people, and it abruptly raised its head, staring at Kim Tae-yeon with its big eyes.
"what!"
Startled, Kim Tae-yeon took a big step back and bumped directly into Lee Lu-ran's chest.
"Oh... I... I can't do it."
She stammered, "Um, it's too high. I'll die if I fall."
Li Luran was amused by her. This little girl was really cutely timid. Sometimes she would pretend to be very imposing, but when it really came down to it, she would immediately show her true colors.
Li Luran patted her shoulder encouragingly, "Relax, just think of it as a carousel. And I'll be watching you, don't worry."
After comforting Kim Tae-yeon, Lee Lu-ran turned around and said a few words to the farm owner, who smiled and nodded, then led out a gentle white pony.
"This horse is named Lily, and she's very well-behaved." Li Luran patted the horse's neck and turned to look at Kim Tae-yeon.
"Come here, let me help you up."
Kim Tae-yeon swallowed, still feeling a little scared.
However, seeing Li Luran's encouraging look, she gritted her teeth and carefully moved over.
"Put your left foot on the stirrup, grab the saddle with both hands, and then straddle with your left foot."
Kim Tae-yeon did as Li Luran said, but because she was too nervous, her legs felt weak and she couldn't muster any strength.
"Here, let me help you."
Li Luran walked over and put his hand on her waist, saying, "You need to know how to use leverage."
"Follow my command."
"One, two, go!"
Before she could think further, Li Luran suddenly used his arms to lift Kim Tae-yeon up.
Kim Tae-yeon exclaimed in surprise and sat down on the saddle.
"Phew..." Kim Tae-yeon let out a long sigh of relief, gripping the reins tightly with both hands, not daring to move an inch.
Li Luran did not ride a horse himself, but instead took the lead from Lily.
"Aren't you going to ride?" Kim Tae-yeon asked, puzzled.
"Today I'll be Miss X's groom. How about that? Aren't you touched?"
Li Luran smiled, took the reins, and walked towards the grassland.
Kim Tae-yeon was initially a little nervous, but looking at Lee Lu-ran walking ahead, she suddenly felt much more at ease for some reason.
"This guy, putting aside his sharp tongue, seems pretty reliable." She muttered to herself.
The pasture was very empty in the early morning, with not many tourists.
At first, Kim Tae-yeon's body was a little stiff, afraid that the horse would get angry and throw her off.
But after walking around for a while, she gradually discovered that the horse was really docile.
With Li Luran steadily leading the horse, she gradually relaxed.
A gentle breeze ruffled her long golden hair, and her view opened up before her.
Looking at the boundless green grassland and then at the distant lake.
Kim Tae-yeon took a deep breath.
"Oh!" she suddenly shouted at Li Luran.
"What can I do for you, Miss X?" Li Luran stopped and turned to look at her.
"Can we hurry up?" Kim Tae-yeon asked Lee Lu-ran excitedly.
Li Luran smiled slightly as he looked at her eager expression.
"Then you'd better hurry!"
He raised his hand and gently patted the horse's rump.
"drive!"
Lily immediately quickened her pace, turning her slow walk into a jog.
"ah!!!"
Kim Tae-yeon screamed, not out of fear this time, but because it was too exciting.
She gripped the reins tightly, her body rising and falling with the horse's movements.
"Ha ha ha ha!"
Kim Tae-yeon's unrestrained laughter echoed across the empty ranch.
Li Luran looked at her strangely. It was really... the contrast between her laughter and her image was too great. She sounded a bit like an old lady... well, no, just a bit rough.
Ten minutes later, Kim Tae-yeon rode back slowly on horseback.
Her cheeks were flushed, and her hair was a mess from the wind, but the excitement in her eyes remained.
"Is it fun?" Li Luran stepped forward and took the reins again.
"That was so exciting!" Kim Tae-yeon exclaimed excitedly, gesturing wildly, still feeling a bit unsatisfied.
After riding for another half hour, the two of them led their horses back slowly along a clear stream.
Happy times are always fleeting.
The three-day holiday came to an end with a bonfire party on the grassland.
"Oh, I'm going back tomorrow."
Kim Tae-yeon took a sip of beer, and even though she tried her best to hide it, Lee Lu-ran could still hear her reluctance.
"Yes, time really flies." Li Luran also silently took a sip of beer.
Over the past three days, the gloom brought by Suzy, and also by this girl named X, has gradually dissipated.
"Thank you." She turned to look at Li Luran across the campfire, her tone very sincere. "I had a wonderful three days. This was the most relaxing vacation I've had in years."
"You're welcome, Ms. X. Me too." Li Luran smiled and clinked his beer can against Kim Tae-yeon's.
"As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end, so let's meet again in the martial world!"
The next morning, Kim Tae-yeon dragged her suitcase out of the hotel, where a taxi was already waiting by the roadside.
Kim Tae-yeon, dragging her suitcase, suddenly stopped and ran towards Lee Lu-ran.
To Li Luran's surprise, Kim Tae-yeon hugged him and softly said, "Thank you, O!"
Before Li Luran could react, Kim Tae-yeon got into a taxi and quickly disappeared from his sight.
Li Luran stood blankly by the roadside, and they did not exchange contact information until they parted ways.
It was like two strangers who met by chance and ended up watching a movie together.
Now that the movie has ended, the audience members have left and returned to their normal lives.
"Have a safe trip, X."
As the taxi drove away, Li Luran turned and walked towards the hotel.
His vacation is coming to an end, and he'll soon embark on a new journey.
"X, perhaps we will meet again someday."
