Peninsula: I run a bed and breakfast on Jeju Island

Chapter 105 Let's do something interesting now.

Chapter 105 Let's do something interesting now.

Li Ran shrugged, selectively ignoring her gaze.

"Speaking of which, you seem quite relaxed at the guesthouse every day. Don't you ever feel anxious?" Lee Ji-eun couldn't help but ask.

"Yes! Who said there isn't?"

"When?" she asked, somewhat curious.

"Of course, it's when I see my bank card balance," he said earnestly.

"Being broke is so stressful!"

Lee Ji-eun paused for a moment, then shook her head. "Oh, that's not what I meant."

"But I'm telling the truth. Otherwise, what do you think people are anxious about?"

Money can't solve all problems, but it can solve more than 90% of life's problems.

Upon hearing this, she nodded thoughtfully, "It does seem to be true."

"Right!" He raised his eyebrows.

"Just like when I write novels, I write them to make money. Once I'm financially independent, I'll definitely take a good rest. I won't be writing a single word anymore."

Lee Ji-eun blinked and looked at him, gently rubbing her chin. "Looks like I'll have to stop paying you royalties! Otherwise, what if you become financially independent and stop writing?"

"Hey! I was just kidding." Li Ran's expression immediately changed. "I absolutely love writing, how could I possibly give it up just because I've made enough money?"

"Besides, I haven't earned enough yet! I'm still far from financial freedom. Right now, I'm quite happy with earning some royalties and receiving some monthly votes."

"Alright, I was just joking." She waved her hand.

"As long as you keep writing, I can keep paying you royalties."

He breathed a sigh of relief.

"Don't you think you're getting a little bored right now?" she suddenly said.

"What's so boring? My novel?" Li Ran hadn't even realized what was going on.

His heart tightened instinctively.

"Novel, novel, all you can think about is that novel of yours." Lee Ji-eun rolled her eyes at him, annoyed.

"I mean, now that it's raining, you can only stay in the guesthouse. Don't you get bored?"

"Uh, it's alright." He scratched his eyebrows. "Mainly because I usually stay in guesthouses anyway."

"You really are a boring person." She sighed and pouted.

"Uh, the problem is—"

Li Ran tried to explain, but didn't know what to say, so she could only shake her head helplessly and say, "Fine, if you say it's boring, then it's boring."

Lee Ji-eun tilted her head to look at him, suddenly took off the thin blanket wrapped around her, and said, "Let's do something interesting now!"

"What?"

Li Ran looked at her with some wariness.

"What kind of look is that?" she said, somewhat displeased.

"We're a man and a woman alone together, shouldn't I be the one being wary?"

That seems to make sense.

Li Ran blinked.

wrong!

Wasn't my concern that she might be playing me for a fool again?

What does it have to do with a lone man and woman?

His left and right brains fought each other for a moment.

"What are you thinking about? Are you still going to play or not?" she said, pulling out a deck of cards from somewhere.

"Where did you get those cards from? You can do magic tricks?"

"It's just under the coffee table, isn't it? Didn't you put it there yourself? Are you confused?" Lee Ji-eun looked at him with a puzzled expression.

Li Ran glanced under the coffee table, then remembered something.

This deck of cards seems to be leftover from when he and Choi Jin-ri played a beer game.

Many of the signs were bent.

"Do you know how to play Hanafuda?" Lee Ji-eun arranged the cards in her hand, looking quite professional.

He shook his head. "I don't know how to play like this on the peninsula."

"I see." She looked at the playing cards in her hand and scratched her eyebrows.

"So, who were you playing with last time?"

"And truth."

"Hmm?" She raised an eyebrow. "Didn't you say you didn't know how to play Hanafuda?"

"I never said I could!"

"So what did you play with Jinri last time? What's the game like over there?" Lee Ji-eun asked curiously.

Li Ran shook her head. "We weren't mainly playing cards back then."

"We were playing a beer game back then. We'd put a playing card under the pull tab of a soda can, one card for each person, and whoever's card opened the can of beer had to drink it."

After listening, Lee Ji-eun blinked, her expression somewhat subtle.

"How long did you and Zhenli play together? How many cans did you drink in total?"

"Who can remember exactly? But it should have been four or five cans. Anyway, neither of them got drunk."

"What? You want to get our Zhenli drunk?" She squinted and stared intently at Li Ran.

"What does this have to do with anything?" He waved his hand.

"I was just describing the situation. Besides, I think she could hold her liquor pretty well, right?"

Lee Ji-eun looked at him suspiciously.

"Hey! Are you interrogating a criminal?" Li Ran said irritably, sensing her gaze.

She realized what she meant and gave an awkward laugh. "I was just curious!"

"By the way, is there any beer left inside? I'd like to try some."

"There should be three or four cans left from last time, right?" he said uncertainly.

"Where?"

"It's in the fridge. I think there are about three or four cans left."

"I'll go get it!"

As soon as she finished speaking, Lee Ji-eun stood up and went straight to the refrigerator.

"ah!"

Watching her hurried figure disappear into the distance, Li Ran blinked.

When she returned carrying three or four cans of beer, Li Ran suddenly said, "By the way, didn't you have a cold? You shouldn't be able to drink beer, right?"

Lee Ji-eun's movements froze instantly.

"I hope everything's alright?" she asked uncertainly.

Li Ran rolled her eyes and pulled the beer directly from her arms.

"Let's forget about it. What if something really happens?"

"You're a singer, for goodness' sake. Don't you even care about this?"

Lee Ji-eun looked at the beer being taken away, her lips moved slightly, but in the end she didn't say anything.

Actually, she rarely drinks alcohol.

I wanted to make an exception today, but it was rejected.

She sat back down on the sofa, wrapped her arms around her knees, and watched helplessly as Li Ran put the beer she had just taken out of the refrigerator back in.

There is no way.

If Li Ran won't let her drink, then what's the point of letting Li Ran drink if she wants to play the beer game?

When he returned, Lee Ji-eun finally spoke, "If you won't let us play the beer game, then think of something fun!"

"I'm so bored right now."

Li Ran looked at her with some confusion. "Can't you watch some videos or listen to some music?"

She pouted, "The problem is, watching videos for too long gets boring!"

"As for listening to music, I'm a singer myself, so I'm exposed to a lot of songs through my work. If you do something repeatedly, will you still be interested?"

Upon hearing this, Li Ran blinked.

That seems to be true.

"So what do you want to do now?"

"I'm asking you this! Besides beer games, what else can you think of to play?"
