Chapter 128 Hidden Camera

Li Ran lifted the bag in one hand and switched hands.

The bag was too big, and it hurt his hands from being squeezed so tightly.

Choi Jin-ri took some shopping bags from him.

"Let's go, we're almost there," she said, glancing at the car in the distance.

"I told you not to buy so much. Now it's even hard to carry it all."

"We've already bought them. Besides, it's only three—four—five—six—seven—eight—nine items."

She glanced at the shopping bags hanging all over Li Ran's body and felt somewhat guilty.

"Oh."

He rolled his eyes.

"Okay, it's not far anyway. It'll be much easier once it's in the car."

Choi Jin-ri took several more shopping bags from him.

Li Ran didn't say anything more.

Ultimately, these clothes were bought for him by someone else, so it would be ungrateful of him to say anything more.

The two arrived at the parking area.

This parking lot must be frequently used, as the parking space lines on the ground have been worn and are somewhat blurred.

Since it's an underground parking lot, the lighting here is a bit weaker than outside.

He straightened the shopping bags in his hands, preparing to put them in the trunk.

Choi Jin-ri stood beside him and lent a hand to help him catch the things.

"Um?"

He wasn't sure if it was just his imagination, but he always felt like someone was watching him.

This feeling is hard to explain; it can only be attributed to a magical sixth sense.

In addition, given his not-so-strong superpower, he was quite superstitious about this strange feeling.

He raised his head and glanced around out of the corner of his eye.

Sure enough, he discovered something was amiss.

He noticed a chubby boy wearing glasses subtly glancing at them from next to a silver sedan about three or four car lengths away.

He didn't dare to look closely, but he would steal glances at Li Ran and the others from time to time.

Especially Choi Jin-ri.

The bespectacled man's gaze was mainly focused on her.

Li Ran frowned.

He leaned closer to Choi Jin-ri, his lips still, and whispered, "Do you know that man over there on the west side?"

"Um?"

She was slightly taken aback.

"Never mind, you get in the car first. We'll look at it inside."

Choi Jin-ri took the opportunity of opening the car door to glance at the man.

"I don't know him," she said with certainty.

Li Ran threw all the shopping bags in her hand into the back row.

Several pieces of clothing simply slipped out of the bag.

He didn't care about that anymore, pushed the clothes that had slipped out back into the bag, and then got up and closed the back door.

"Click~"

That's the sound of a camera shutter clicking!

The parking lot is quiet now.

So the shutter sound was as clear as a fart in a library.

"Um?"

He frowned, straightened up, and looked in the direction from which the sound came.

What's that fatso doing?

Being disturbed for no reason, he was now feeling somewhat resentful.

Seemingly realizing he had been discovered, the bespectacled man hurriedly put away his phone.

Li Ran pursed her lips, glanced at Cui Zhenli who looked somewhat nervous in the car, and closed the car door.

He went straight for the man with glasses.

As Li Ran approached, Cui Zhenli peeked her head out.

Even with sunglasses on, her worry was still evident.

"Hey! What were you doing just now?"

Li Ran, standing at 1.83 meters tall with his muscular build, is quite imposing.

The bespectacled man took a step back, looking somewhat flustered.

"Joson Hamnida (I'm sorry), I didn't mean to."

"Damn it, I was having a great time traveling with my cousin. What are you doing? Taking pictures of me without my consent?"

"Aren't you disgusting?"

Li Ran frowned as she looked at him.

The bespectacled man was cornered, and he took out his phone from his pocket and unlocked the screen.

"No, no, no, I just thought that girl was pretty. I was thinking of taking a picture and trying to find her online so I could get her contact information."

"I really didn't mean any harm!"

He glanced at the photo on his phone.

In the photo, Choi Jin-ri is wearing sunglasses and a mask, but you can still tell that she is a girl with outstanding looks and temperament.

Having been in the entertainment industry for so many years, putting aside the somewhat mystical notion of "fame brings good fortune," her temperament, cultivated through years of dance training, sets her apart from most people.

"You're too shy to ask a girl for her contact information in person, so you expect to find a needle in a haystack online?"

"I don't care what you're trying to do, you'd better delete the photos."

"Nei nei nei." Under Li Ran's gaze, he deleted all three photos that had been taken.

They even proactively emptied all the photos from the recycle bin.

Li Ran's direct approach to him made him a little flustered.

After all, he was in the wrong, and he also felt that he couldn't beat the other party.

To avoid getting beaten up, the bespectacled man took extra precautions.

Li Ran squinted at him, then looked away and left.

The bespectacled man watched his retreating figure with a bitter expression.

"I should have known better than to film it," he muttered.

"How is it?" Choi Jin-ri, sitting in the passenger seat, asked impatiently as soon as he got into the car.

"It's nothing. They probably didn't recognize me. I've deleted all the photos."

Li Ran shook her head.

To avoid being seen, Choi Jin-ri had just gotten into the passenger seat under the cover of his body.

Now that she saw that it was over, she breathed a sigh of relief and put her hand on the handlebars.

What are you doing?

Li Ran stopped her.

"Drive!"

"What if you go down now and he takes another picture?"

"What should we do then? Can you drive?"

Upon hearing this, Choi Jin-ri released the handlebars.

"I already said that. I changed my driving test after only a few days here. I definitely have my driver's license!"

"Okay, then you can drive."

She nodded obediently.

Looking at Choi Jin-ri, who looked like a frightened bird, Lee Ran shook his head.

She had just said she wasn't afraid at all.

Actually, Choi Jin-ri isn't really afraid of being exposed.

So what if it's exposed? Maybe it just means more people will criticize her.

Whether she's insulted by a hundred people or two hundred, she's hurtful, but it doesn't really make a difference to her.

She was just afraid of affecting Li Ran.

After all, he was just an ordinary person who had never experienced any large-scale online upheavals.

She knew that kind of experience all too well, so she didn't want it to happen to Li Ran.

Li Ran didn't know what she was thinking, so she just patted her hand gently. "Alright, it's all in the past now. It's not a big deal."

Choi Jin-ri pursed her lips and forced a smile.

"Boom!"

Li Ran started the fire and set off.

He glanced behind him through the rearview mirror.

The man with glasses is no longer there.

Once outside the parking lot, the light brightened considerably.

He glanced out of the corner of his eye at Choi Jin-ri, who was sitting in the passenger seat, lost in thought.

"What are you daydreaming about? Don't worry, I'm an experienced driver, I won't let your car get scratched," he said with a smile.

Choi Jin-ri snapped out of her daze, pursed her lips, and said, "Fine, I'll just ride it. I have another one anyway."

Tsk, that familiar rich woman vibe is back.
