All the heavens, starting as the ruler of the universe
Chapter 57 Another World
"Brother Lin, why are you helping him?"
After the two left Lee's company, Peter finally couldn't help but ask the question.
"There's no particular reason. I just saw it and solved a problem on the spur of the moment."
Lin Yan walked slowly, looking at this familiar yet unfamiliar world.
"You guessed right, this Li is also a time traveler, but we can't give him a spot in the chat group. As for whether or not to take him to the time traveler base, that's your business."
"Okay," Peter nodded.
"I have something to do, so I'll be going now. If you have time, go to the base and check out the spot they've reserved for you."
After saying this, Lin Yan's body vanished into thin air.
He did not leave this world.
When he helped Peter erase the black symbiote's intelligence and connect that blank space to Peter's soul, his consciousness touched the deepest part of the symbiote—beneath the instinctive consciousness he had peeled away, there was an extremely thin, almost imperceptible thread.
That thread is connected to something.
Transcending space, transcending dimensions, even transcending the universe.
Lin Yan hovered above New York, starlight swirling around him.
He extended his senses along the thread, his consciousness spreading upwards like a silent ripple.
He saw the true origin of the symbiote species—not a protoplasmic mass drifting in near-Earth orbit, but a living, real source that exists in all the universes.
The King in Black, the God of the Abyss, the God of Symbiotes.
Nar.
The information flowed in from the other end of the thread, like a stone that had been silent for millions of years finally being turned over.
Lin Yan opened his eyes.
Nar is not in this world.
The other end of that thread wasn't in this universe—it crossed the boundary of the Amazing Spider-Man universe and disappeared into the depths of the Marvel multiverse.
But the material of the thread, its frequency, and the faint traces it leaves in the void—these things will not disappear.
Nar does exist, but he's not here.
Lin Yan stretched out his hand, and starlight shone from his fingertips.
He followed the trace left by the thread and tore a rift in the space.
On the other side of the rift lies another universe.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The spatial rift closed behind Lin Yan.
He stood on a land he had never set foot on yet was intimately familiar with—Asgard.
The golden palace complex unfolds under the setting sun, each building's spire piercing the sky like a spear.
The rainbow bridge stretched out beneath his feet, its seven colors flowing beneath the crystal surface, leading all the way to the distant hemispherical bridgehead.
The seawater beneath the bridge surges above the abyss, and the starlight of the universe can be faintly seen through the mist.
The air was filled with an ancient and profound energy, unlike any other world he had ever seen.
Every stone here is imbued with divine power over thousands of years, and every gust of wind carries the aura of the gods.
Lin Yan stood at the starting point of the Rainbow Bridge, his senses spreading outwards.
The nine realms are like nine beads strung on an unseen tree, and Asgard sits at the very top of the canopy.
He could sense Heimdall—the guardian standing in the bridgehead—sweeping his senses in this direction.
Further away, Odin slumbers in his golden palace, his divine power like a silent volcano.
Lin Yan did not conceal his presence, and Heimdall discovered him the moment he stepped into Asgard.
The Rainbow Bridge flashed slightly, and a tall figure strode over from the direction of the bridgehead.
The golden armor reflected a warm light in the setting sun, the guardian sword Bultgan in his hand pointed diagonally at the ground, and his orange eyes pierced through the twilight of Asgard, landing on Lin Yan.
Heimdall stopped ten paces away. He did not draw his sword.
His eyes can see through every corner of the Nine Realms, witness the birth and death of stars in the universe, and see a butterfly fluttering its wings in Midgard.
But he couldn't see through the person in front of him.
It's not blurry, not obscured, but like trying to measure the ocean with a ruler. The ruler can tell you the depth, but the ocean has no depth.
"...You are not from the Nine Realms." Heimdall spoke, his voice deep and resonant like distant thunder, but there was no hostility in his tone.
"Just passing by." Lin Yan looked at Heimdall's eyes with interest. This person in front of him, oh, God, was indeed quite capable to remain unaffected after spying on him.
Although what came here was just an incarnation of Lin Yan.
Heimdall fell silent for a moment.
"As long as you are not an enemy of Asgard, the Rainbow Bridge will guide you."
"Won't Odin blame you?" Lin Yan didn't know much about Heimdall.
"I will report him." Heimdall's dark face remained expressionless.
"Then send me to Earth." Lin Yan wasn't very interested in Asgard, especially since Odin was still asleep.
Although he could cross it himself, since he was already there, it would be a bit of a shame not to experience the Rainbow Bridge.
"Midgard." Heimdall stepped aside, clearing the way for the Rainbow Bridge. "If you see Thor in Midgard, please do not disturb him; this is a trial for him."
"When was Thor sent to Earth?" Lin Yan recalled the Marvel timeline.
"Some time ago, he lost his divine power." Heimdall didn't hide anything and told Lin Yan everything.
"Okay." Lin Yan nodded. It seemed that the timeline was set in Thor 1, and there was still a short time before Avengers 1.
"Please do not resist the power of the Rainbow Bridge, Your Excellency," Heimdall warned after trying and finding that he could not teleport Lin Yan at all.
Lin Yan chuckled to himself.
He did not resist, but his very existence, even if it was just an avatar, was too heavy a burden for the Rainbow Bridge.
It's like a stream trying to move a mountain; it's not that the mountain is resisting, but that the stream simply doesn't have the capacity to move the mountain.
He made himself less conspicuous.
The rainbow bridge suddenly lit up.
A stream of colorful light emanated from the bridge, enveloping Lin Yan's figure.
He felt a gentle pull—not a spatial tear, not a dimensional jump, but like a large hand gently lifting him up and pushing him forward along a river of light.
Along the riverbanks, the landscapes of the nine kingdoms flashed by like a scroll: Muspelheim of the fire giants, Jotunheim covered in ice, Wattalheim of the dark elves, and Vanaheim of the Vanir gods. Each kingdom appeared and disappeared at the edge of his vision, like scenery rushing past a car window.
Then comes Midgard.
Earth.
The blue planet unfolded beneath his feet, and the white vortex of the atmosphere slowly rotated.
The light of the Rainbow Bridge carried him through the atmosphere, and the New Mexico wilderness magnified in his view: crimson rock formations, low bushes, and a straight highway cutting through the no-man's-land, ending in a small town.
The light faded.
Lin Yan's feet were on the dry sand, surrounded by a vast wilderness.
He glanced back at the sky; the trace of the rainbow bridge had vanished, leaving only a faint, fleeting halo of seven colors.
