GCPD, Gotham Police Department Precinct.

The police headquarters had become a chaotic marketplace, filled with shouts and banging.

Almost all the police officers were in a flurry of activity.

As soon as Gordon pushed open the door, the voices inside came out:

"Ohohohohohoho!!!!!"

"Let me out! Let me out!!!"

"Hahaha, so good, so good, so good!!!"

Is this a farmers' market?

Dior raised an eyebrow and turned his head to look.

A gothic woman wearing black stockings and black shorts is climbing on the cage in the detention cell, shouting and yelling.

"You damn cop, I...!"

"Shut up, you bitch!"

Harvey responded by raising his middle finger without hesitation.

"It's already rampant?"

Dior began to look around.

However, just a short while later, two more policemen walked in and dragged a prostitute into the detention room.

Dior's heart sank.

If someone were to leak it intentionally, judging from the state of these people, they would be almost indistinguishable from those terrified of poison gas.

Don't drag me into this! You damn bastard!!!

"Damn it, who spread this stuff?!"

Harvey clenched his fist.

"Detective Gordon, police..."

Edward came downstairs and adjusted his glasses, but his gaze was drawn to the blond boy next to him.

"What's wrong, Ed?"

"oh."

Edward suddenly realized what was happening.

"Uh, the police inspector and the mayor are looking for you, and their expressions aren't good."

"I see."

Gordon sighed and gave Dio a deep look.

"Harvey, it's all yours now."

Harvey nodded:

"Okay, Ed, let's skip the boring riddles and get straight to the point."

"Well, all I can say is that this is truly unparalleled."

Edward withdrew his gaze from Dio, his voice tinged with a morbid excitement:

"This is indeed snake venom, but it's a complex type."

"It somehow opened a door in the body that shouldn't have been opened, namely a segment of DNA."

"This enabled the body to begin using calcium from the bones as fuel, thus gaining immense strength."

"This venom has strong hallucinogenic properties and amplifies the user's aggressive tendencies, but..."

Dior crossed his arms and continued the conversation:

"But poisonous insects can adapt well to this hallucinogenic effect."

This is truly hellish. A deadly poison that swept through Gotham City was first adapted to by poisonous insects.

Is this the vitality of the people of Gotham?

Oh right, what about Bruce??

Feeling somewhat bored, Dio began searching for Bruce at the police station.

But the police station was so crowded and noisy that it was impossible to find anything.

Of course, his relatively short stature also plays a role.

After all, he is only 12 years old.

But Edward, standing beside him, suddenly brightened up, as if he had found a kindred spirit.

Congratulations, you got it right.

"What's your name?"

It was incredible; fireworks lit up Edward's mind.

"What's my name?"

Dior frowned slightly and raised his head in displeasure:

"Shouldn't you give your own name before asking someone else's?"

"I have personality. My name is Edward Nigma."

Edward adjusted his glasses again and eagerly reached out his hand.

"Dio Brando".

Dior shook hands reluctantly.

"Hello there."

"Nice to meet you."

Edward gripped him tightly, his eyes practically glued to him.

Dior's face darkened. What on earth was going on?!

It's understandable that the Penguin has pedophilic tendencies, but how come the Riddler, this weirdo who loves riddles, also has them?!

Damn!

Dio's goodwill towards the Riddler vanished instantly.

Fortunately, Harvey, who was standing nearby, said impatiently:

"Ed! Can we get down to business?"

"OK, OK, this drug will give the user a strong craving for milk and cheese."

"Because they need to replenish the calcium that their bodies are burning rapidly."

"Moreover, only the most advanced laboratories can manufacture this new thing."

Dior raised an eyebrow, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes.

Do you get calcium from drinking milk?

That milk must be the one that Chinese people love the most.

Anyone with a brain knows that drinking milk cannot replenish the calcium lost.

Edward continued:

"Ultimately, their bones will break, and they will suffocate to death."

"The skull of the corpse was pierced several times by a sharp rapier, most likely because the deceased's calcium had almost been burned off."

"In other words, even if Dio hadn't killed that person, the deceased would have suffocated to death on his own."

"But that would mean Alfred would miss the best time for treatment."

A calm, hoarse voice came from behind Edward.

"Is someone talking behind my back?"

Edward blinked, tentatively turned around, and bumped into a melancholy face:

"Oh my god!!! Bruce Wayne!"

When did you arrive?

Harvey shook his head in surprise.

Bruce stepped out from behind Edward and looked straight at Dio.

"Bruce? Hmph!"

Dior pursed his lips, his gaze lingering only briefly before shifting away.

"Dio".

Bruce's tone carried a hint of helplessness:

"We need to talk."

"How did you end up being led around by the nose by Selena?"

Bruce didn't reply, but grabbed his arm and led him to a corner.

"Excuse me, gentlemen, please excuse us for a moment."

Dio did not resist; he had a premonition that this conversation would bring unexpected gains.

"What's going on here?"

Harvey watched the two boys leave, then ruffled his curly hair in frustration.

"My witness has been taken away, well, Ed, you can continue with your cryptic pronouncements."

at the same time.

Inside the police superintendent's office.

"Lovecraft is a pillar of society, serving Gotham wholeheartedly. How can I tell the media that?"

"Huh!? Hmm!"

Mayor James paced back and forth in his office, glaring angrily at Gordon as he went.

"Any suggestions, Detective Gordon?"

"Of course."

Gordon took a deep breath, a flash of annoyance in his eyes:

"We said Lovecraft was a fraud, and we almost caught him."

"And we will bring those who killed him to justice! That's all."

Mayor James rested his hands on the chair, raised his chin, and a cold smile appeared on his lips:

"I'm sorry, I may not be able to use this method, because the on-site investigation determined that Lovecraft committed suicide."

Gordon frowned:

"It wasn't suicide! It was murder, Mayor!"

boom!

Mayor James placed his hands on the table, looking down at the other person:

"It's suicide!"

"He was driven insane by your relentless investigation and ended his life in the bathroom!"

"Don't give me any other excuses!"

"You arrogant clown."

James' eyes were full of threat.

"You have absolutely no idea what you're doing!"

The other person's gaze pressed down on him with piercing intensity, but Gordon did not flinch or flinch like most people would.

His eyes calmly met that gaze.

"Mayor James."

This detective, whose sense of justice bordered on pedantry, stood up and glared at Mayor James.

Go kiss my ass!

Bang! The door to the police superintendent's office was pushed open forcefully!

Gordon slammed the door and left!

The footsteps faded into the distance in the corridor.

In the corner, Dio leaned against the wall, arms crossed, looking at Bruce.

"Speak, what do you want to talk about?"
