American comic book: Transmigrated into Dior and adopted by the Wayne family

Chapter 33 The Snipe and the Clam Fight, the Fisherman Benefits

"You two damned little brats! You only remember me when you're doing something bad!"

Harvey was summoned by Dior with a phone call, for a simple reason: two teenagers couldn't move an adult.

Dior wasn't actually unable to move it; he just didn't want to expose his special features in a crowded place.

Bruce knew that one part was already troublesome enough, so Harvey, who was patrolling nearby, became the best choice.

"Scumbag, madman! This guy has been driven completely insane by the people in the banquet hall!"

Harvey put his hands on his hips, glanced at Stan, whose hands were cuffed, in the car, and finally sighed.

"Trying to create a headline news story by murdering a Wayne Enterprises executive? I think Arkham is his true calling."

"Listen, you two little bastards," Harvey said in a low voice, "I told the higher-ups I arrested him."

"You only have five minutes. Whether you get anything out of him or not, I'll take him away in five minutes."

"No need, Harvey,"

Dior unexpectedly refused.

"I'll hand him over to you for interrogation."

After all, this professional is the best at interrogation and forced confessions.

"Okay, let me introduce you to an expert."

Harvey opened the driver's side door, took out a heavy bronze statue trophy, and weighed it in his hand.

"This trophy was given to us by the Gotham Chamber of Commerce in recognition of our outstanding contributions over the years."

"We call him Officer O'Brien in our department."

"At the same time, it happens to be the Gotham Police Department's most skilled interrogator."

"Um... I think he still has human rights, right?"

Bruce hesitated, looking at Harvey's posture of using excessive force.

"I'll get that sentence tattooed on my head."

Harvey grinned, opened the car door, and climbed inside.

"ah-----!!!"

Five minutes later, Harvey got out of the car and quickly rinsed Officer O'Brien with water.

"Warehouse No. 39 is probably his lair for developing drugs."

"You two kids shouldn't go. I'll give you a copy if I find any evidence."

"Thanks." Dio and Bruce exchanged a glance and readily agreed.

At this moment, the banquet hall was packed with people, and the Wayne Group executives were indignant, clamoring to find lawyers.

"You've let a madman get away with it for so long! It's all due to the GCPD's laziness!"

"Yes! I'm going to hire a lawyer! You're all finished!"

Dior watched coldly, then turned to Bruce and whispered:

"See that? These are the top executives of your Wayne Corporation."

Bruce remained silent, pondering how to eradicate the scourge of snake venom.

"It's now basically confirmed that there's a direct link between the snake venom drug and Vezan Pharmaceuticals."

Dior's gaze swept across the crowd, as if searching for something.

"Who are you looking for?" Bruce asked.

"A man, a mid-level manager at Wayne Enterprises, named... Marsis."

Dior narrowed his eyes, his gaze locking onto a Black woman in the corner.

"I have a feeling that she is one of Weizan's people."

The man was holding a glass of champagne, whispering something to the person next to him, his expression perfectly poised.

Dior had noticed this person earlier at the banquet.

Despite her claims of being low-key, she was toasted far more often than she claimed.

The fact that the name also appeared in Thomas Wayne's autobiography further supports his view.

Moreover, aren't the middle management of Wayne Group just the senior management of Weizan?

"If I can make Viper Poison disappear from Gotham City forever, what will you give me in return?"

Dio suddenly asked.

Bruce lowered his head and pondered for a moment, then raised his head, his eyes filled with determination:

"I can stand with you on certain important occasions."

The subtext of this statement couldn't be clearer:

Bruce knew there was something wrong with the will, but he could also make it "okay".

As Thomas Wayne's son, he is the most authoritative witness, capable of standing up to anyone who tries to threaten Dio with his will.

"That's enough."

Dio gave Bruce a satisfied look, straightened his clothes, and walked towards Mathis.

"Ms. Mathis?"

Mathis turned his head at the sound of the voice, saw Dio, and immediately put on a flattering smile:

"Young Master Brando! Tonight has been so chaotic, I never expected this..."

"Wayne Group and Weizan are a community with a shared future, Ms. Marsis."

Dior interrupted her casually, then took a step closer and lowered his voice.

"But obviously, there are many things you haven't thought of, such as... the matter of Warehouse 39."

Mathis's smile froze instantly.

It was a fleeting moment, so brief that Bruce, far away, didn't even notice.

But Dior saw it.

"Warehouse No. 39?"

Mathis raised his glass and took a sip, concealing a fleeting hint of nervousness.

"I don't quite understand what you mean."

"It's okay."

Dior shrugged and took a glass of juice from the waiter's tray.

"Anyway, Detective Harvey has already gone to investigate. With his efficiency, there should be results by dawn."

He lowered his head and took a sip of juice, his eyes constantly fixed on Mathis's face.

The composure on that face was crumbling inch by inch.

Mahis swallowed hard, taking a real look at the blond boy in front of him for the first time.

"What do you mean by that?"

"I'm just curious."

Dio tilted his head, revealing an innocent-looking smile.

"If a poison leaked from a laboratory, what would you do if you were in charge?"

"Should I confess voluntarily, or...?"

He paused, then lowered his voice so that only the two of them could hear him.

"Should we quickly clean up the tail before anyone notices?"

Upon hearing this, Mathis raised an eyebrow in surprise, looking at him with sudden realization:

"Young Master Brando, you..."

"I was just asking casually."

Dior took a step back and placed the juice on the table beside him.

"After all, I don't understand these things."

"By the way, I heard that the police station is really short-staffed lately, and the response time is incredibly slow."

He turned and walked away, but after a few steps, he stopped and turned his head away.

"In a remote place like Warehouse 39, by the time they arrive, there probably won't be anything left, right?"

Dior turned and left.

Mathis gave him a grateful look, then quickly pulled his phone out of his tuxedo and made a call.

Dior left the crowd and walked very slowly.

Bruce quickly followed, lowering his voice:

"What did you say to her?"

"Leaked information".

"You deliberately told her Harvey went to Warehouse 39? Did you know what she would do?"

Dior chuckled softly: "What she does depends on how afraid she is of death."

"What if she destroys the evidence?"

"I want her to destroy the evidence so that the police can't get any evidence."

Dior took out his phone and showed Bruce a text message that he had sent earlier.

Peter, take your camera and go to Warehouse 39 to take some photos.

"I heard people in the car shouting 'Warehouse No. 39' even before I left Harvey."

"So it must be my people who got there the fastest!"

After saying that, Dior put his phone away and waved his hand.

Bruce was left standing there alone, staring at Dio's retreating figure, somewhat astonished.

At today's banquet, Dior easily gained leverage over Vezan Pharmaceuticals, the friendship of its top executives, and his own promises.

Was it merely a matter of exploiting information asymmetry?

He really is an evil blond brat!
