American comic book: Transmigrated into Dior and adopted by the Wayne family
Chapter 52 Dior: I'm a dad?!
Outside the Owen Electronics store, sirens wailed incessantly.
Several police officers stood at the entrance, setting up a cordon, chatting casually.
"Seriously, Jim."
Harvey pulled out a flask from his pocket, took a small sip, and patted Gordon on the shoulder.
"Those guys in the government affairs department just dealt with a batch of smuggled goods, all designer brands. I kept two pieces for myself, do you want them?"
Gordon glanced at him: "Never mind, I can't wear any clothes for very long anyway, I'll just wear something cheap."
"Okay, I'll keep it myself."
Harvey smiled calmly and took another sip.
"Anyway, my closet is almost overflowing with clothes from unofficial sources."
"Harvey, let's get down to business. Have we found the kind person who called the police?"
Gordon's gaze swept towards the distance.
The person subjected to electric shock had just been woken up by a bottle of water and was squatting in front of the reporter's camera, stammering.
A flicker of disgust crossed his eyes.
Clearly, even the electric torturers caught by the police knew that the people they really couldn't afford to offend weren't these black dogs, but rather some other people.
He could hear very clearly when he pretended to faint.
As an electrical expert and a high-IQ criminal, he knew better than anyone that if he uttered even half a word today, he would be dead tomorrow.
They don't even need those people to do anything; they just need to transfer him to the most dangerous area of Blackgate Prison, where those vicious and depraved criminals can torment him to death in one night.
"I want to say, God save Gotham, God save the GCPD, you've got me."
Jack, the electrocutioner, moved his hands back and forth as if plucking the strings of an invisible accordion.
"Nobody knows better about being arrested than me—really, nobody."
"I've seen many arrests in my life, but this is the biggest and most beautiful arrest."
"Trust me, if you catch me, Gotham's crime rate will plummet. That's fantastic, fantastic."
The man being electrocuted tugged at his collar with a self-deprecating laugh, the broken lens of his glasses making him look even more comical.
"It's a pity I'm out of power now, otherwise I could put on a light show for you guys."
Gordon rolled his eyes in disdain and snorted:
"Look, that guy is still spouting nonsense. Enough already."
"let's go."
In the shadows of the street corner, a sharp claw pressed the call button:
"Philosopher, the target has been received by GCPD."
"Yes," the philosopher's voice came through the microphone, "I need him. Bring him back."
At the end of the street, a Kawasaki Ninja 400 quietly drove away.
Five minutes later, Alfred stood in front of the Irving Electronics store, looked at the mess on the ground, and sighed.
"Oh my god."
-----------------
There was no time to deal with the old butler who was a step too late again.
Thirty minutes later, Dio returned to Wayne Manor.
In the room, he pulled out repair tools from under the bed and began repairing electronic components he had taken from the Irving store.
Since the boss was electrocuted anyway, he didn't need these parts. It's better to give them to someone who can use them; that's called resource reuse.
"Nobody knows more about repairs than me."
Dior quickly fixed the short-circuited electrotherapy device and carried it into the cold storage.
He pulled out a book titled "The Will and Order of Saint Dumas" from under the frozen meat.
This is one of the few stories, besides Sleeping Beauty, that can elicit a reaction from claws.
The Bible of the Order of St. Dumas, which is a branch of the Knights Templar.
So why would the claws of the Court of Owls react to this?
"You're not a mole, are you?"
Dior thought this was very likely the truth.
It's not surprising that Gotham's two secret organizations have planted spies in each other.
But the Claw Breeder, who possesses the ability to invade the mind, still managed to cultivate the traitor into a Claw.
They were even assigned to his side?
"I hope your bad luck doesn't affect me."
Dior, with a look of disgust, fixed the head of the claw onto the neck-shaking machine.
A moment later, a flash of lightning.
Claw's body awoke from hibernation, his head being swayed left and right by two spatulas.
Dio stared into those empty eyes, turned a page of the Bible, and then another.
What is identity?
What is self-awareness?
That's the story humans tell themselves.
All you need to do is give Claw a story about a great hero, and he'll become that hero.
"Damn it, do I really have to do this?"
A hint of hesitation flashed across Dior's face.
It wasn't because he had developed moral integrity, but because the stories in the book were truly problematic.
So far, Claw has only reacted to the avenging angels in the Bible and Sleeping Beauty in the Grimm's Fairy Tales.
Sleeping Beauty might be because Claw thinks he's a princess, after all, he can sleep a lot.
As for the vengeful angel...
The above account states that Saint Dumas resurrected the medieval lord Azrael, who knelt down and called him father, swearing eternal loyalty.
Perhaps it's due to the experience of being frequently resurrected?
Dior rubbed his temples.
The choice is here.
You can either be the prince who awakens the princess with a kiss, or the father of the resurrected knight.
So, he chose the one that didn't require kissing.
"Saint Dumas broke with the Knights and founded a sect that bore his own name..."
Dio looked at the Bible in his hand, swayed the pendant, and recited it in a loud voice.
Claw's eyelid twitched.
Those eyes suddenly focused; something deeper was awakened by the electricity and the words.
His fingers twitched, like a newborn's unconscious grasp.
The next second, claws shot out, and he sprang off the chair, his movements so fast that he left a trail of afterimages.
Damn it, this son is going to kill his father?
Dio's pupils contracted, and his body tensed, only to find that the spider senses had not activated.
Realizing what was happening, he relaxed and calmly looked at the bewildered Claw.
Claw's expression struggled several times, his gaze fixed on Dio.
Golden hair, emerald eyes, and a compassionate expression.
The story of the vengeful angel echoed in my mind again and again.
His face also showed an increasingly intense shock.
Finally, to Dio's slightly surprised gaze, his body suddenly leaned forward and he knelt on one knee.
"Father! My master!"
God!
Even with preparation, Dior's fake smile still shattered completely.
He had lived two lives and never imagined that one day he would be called father by a burly man a head taller than himself.
But that absurdity lasted for less than a second.
He remembered the claws' regenerative abilities and the potential value they could bring in the future.
It's just a title.
Dio lowered his eyes and looked at the claws kneeling at his feet.
Those empty eyes are now filled with piety, like a believer looking up at a god.
He reached out and, like a real father, gently placed his hand on the top of Claw's head.
"Arise, Azrael. To avoid the corruption of dark magic, your father has changed his name."
"No matter what name you have, you will always be my father."
Dior's eyelid twitched suddenly.
It seems the Templars have brainwashed the Claws to a far greater extent than expected.
A death knight trained by the Court of Owls to be a killing machine still has the mark of the Knights of the Order etched in his mind.
"My name is now Dio Brando."
Claw raised its head, its eyes reflecting Dio's image, and softly repeated:
"DIO...in a certain language, that means a god."
His tone became impassioned:
"As expected of you, Lord Dio! You are the eternal savior of humanity!"
Why do you like flattering so much!
Dior didn't even lift his eyelids.
"That's enough. I don't need your praise, I just need your obedience."
Claw lowered its head and said nothing more.
"But the term 'savior' is quite apt."
Dior's lips curled up slightly.
"Say a few more lines next time."
