Gotham Police Department, Morgue

The shadowless lamp shone down from above.

Wearing rubber gloves, Edward Nigma used tweezers to reach into the bullet hole in the deceased's forehead and remove a bullet.

"The bullet entered from the front and went straight down through the brain; the shooter was a sharpshooter."

Edward put down the microphone and began examining the deceased's hands.

There was gunpowder residue in the web of the right hand and a slight abrasion on the inside of the index finger, which are typical gunshot marks.

And this person fired many shots.

But the contractile bands on the heart have died. What does this mean?

"It seems the deceased saw something they would never forget before their death. What was it?"

Edward stopped the dissection, closed his eyes, and a picture pieced together in his mind.

Inside the crime alley, one person launched a sneak attack, bullets raining down, one shot, two shots, until the magazine was empty.

But not a single shot hit the target.

The other party simply turned around calmly and fired only one shot.

The bullet pierced thirty feet of air, passed between the dead man's two accomplices, through the gunman's raised hands, and finally...

"Bang."

Edward said softly, staring at the deadly bullet on the tweezers, and suddenly smiled.

"Was it luck that you dodged all the bullets, or did the enemy misaiminate due to their anger?"

"Ed."

Gordon pushed open the door, looking somewhat weary.

"What did you discover?"

"I can make bullets go around, I can bring the dead back to life. I am the existence that mortals crave most, but also the gift that the gods are most stingy with."

Edward removed his blood-stained medical gloves and asked gracefully:

"So, what am I?"

Gordon rubbed his forehead helplessly, closed his eyes, and thought about it carefully.

"A miracle?"

Upon hearing this, Edward's eyes lit up instantly, and he looked at Gordon in front of him with a look of great surprise.

"You're right, Detective Gordon! I've discovered a miracle."

"Okay, Ed, I think I need a miracle right now."

"I'm so sleepy."

Gordon picked up the autopsy record and began to read it carefully, but his brows furrowed little by little.

Was the deceased's initial emotion anger, which ultimately turned into fear?

As a soldier who had served in the war and later became a police officer, Gordon possessed extraordinary intuition.

He instinctively felt that this document contained some secret he would never understand in his entire life.

He now feels like an ant trapped in a maze, never able to find the right direction.

Gordon looked through the photos taken at the scene again, or more precisely, the bullet hole distribution map on the wall, and his pupils contracted sharply.

"My God, this trajectory would drive any ballistics expert crazy."

Gordon fell silent, completely silent.

In the end, he could only choose a reason that he could accept to convince himself.

Unless Dio can make bullets curve.

Otherwise, the other party was so angry that he fired several shots but missed every time.

Even God would be like this!

"I will file this case."

Gordon finally made his decision, and as he turned around, there was a cup of coffee right next to him.

Edward had already disappeared from the operating room.

"Thanks, Edward."

Hearing the shouts behind him, Edward chuckled softly and quickened his pace.

He couldn't wait to see the miracle he had discovered.

Until a handsome blond boy came into view.

"A child?"

Edward paused, stunned into place.

The blond boy looked over, seemingly because the gaze from behind was too intense.

Those green eyes seemed to possess a bewitching charm, making it impossible not to be captivated by them.

Do you believe in gravity?

A deep, melodious voice, with an eerie sweetness, reached Edward's ears.

In that instant, Edward froze, as if struck by something, but his body moved first, hiding behind a pillar.

Believe in gravity?

"Huff, huff, huff."

Edward's breathing sounded like a broken bellows, and he could even feel his heart pounding.

Why is that? Edward had no idea.

[Key figure detected: Edward Nigma]

"Hmph, how can you be so cowardly?"

Dio narrowed his eyes in boredom and turned around listlessly.

"It's boring."

When Dior turned around, what came into view was a big, fat face.

It's Harvey.

He crept furtively to the cage and whispered instructions:

"Listen, kid, don't say anything out of line later!"

"You're trying to pin things like guns on me, don't you hear me!"

Dio closed the book and looked at Harvey helplessly.

"I know, you're so long-winded."

Upon hearing this, Harvey glared at him sternly and quickly glanced at the dissection room.

Seeing someone about to come out, he quickly returned to his desk, pretending nothing had happened.

Dior also returned to his original pose.

Detective Gordon walked over, holding a file in his hand, and asked:

"Why do you have a gun? Why did you draw it first? Who gave it to you?"

Gordon looked into the detention cage, his eyes scrutinizing.

Dior was sitting in a chair, legs crossed, holding a copy of Sherlock Holmes with elegant movements.

Upon hearing the sound, he turned to look at Gordon outside, his eyes filled with arrogance.

"Why did I draw my gun? I can only say..."

The blond boy smiled, stood up, crossed his arms, and struck a somewhat strange pose.

JOJO stands!

"My past experiences have taught me that I must learn to fight back against bad people, and I cannot show them any mercy."

"In Gotham, no one can survive without their animalistic instincts. Detective Gordon, who hasn't been here long, must understand that all too well, right?"

With an impeccable expression of humility, Dio gazed intently at Gordon's increasingly wavering eyes and said softly:

"No offense intended, but you must have killed quite a few people lately, Detective Gordon? Were they all guilty?"

Upon hearing this, Gordon unconsciously clenched his fists, thinking of the suspect he had previously shot dead, and his breathing gradually became heavy.

"alright!"

Harvey loudly interrupted the conversation, strode over, took a key from his pocket, and unlocked the restraint cage.

"You can go, Dio, but remember, don't cause any more trouble!"

Why?

Gordon stepped forward, looking at his partner with a puzzled expression and a strong sense of accusation in his eyes!

"I haven't finished asking yet!"

"No reason!"

Harvey offered no explanation, his powerful body ramming into the other man, his eyes filled with threat.

"This is my right! I gave them the gun! Any questions?"

"you!"

Wow.

"At this distance, it's either going to end in a fight or a kiss. So, I wish you both a wonderful evening."

Dio closed the book in his hand, strolled out of the cage, and once again revealed that smile he had practiced countless times:

"After all, it's often said in Gotham that a cop's partner knows him better than his wife, and hopefully that's true for you too."

"goodbye."

After saying that, Dior walked towards the police station entrance with unhurried steps, and then gently pushed open the glass door.

Edward peeked out from behind the pillar, looking in the direction the blond boy had gone.

Do you believe in gravity...?

He murmured the same phrase over and over, a slow smile creeping onto his lips.

It wasn't a laugh born of fear.

It's another riddle that's been discovered.
