Chapter 54 (Free Chapter 2.5k)

Mochi tucked the whip into his waistband, put his hands on his hips, looked at his work, and nodded in satisfaction: "Almost done."

.

Kabaji's gaze swept over the prisoners, as if checking something: "A few more are needed."

"Those guys are already dead." Mochi gestured towards the corner with his chin. "The massive bleeding didn't stop."

"That's good then~ We're done." Kabaji's shoes stepped into the pool of blood, splashing up a small patch of red water.

The pirate henchmen began packing up their weapons and taking stock of their spoils.

Some people squatted on the ground, picking up the rings, bracelets, and necklaces that had fallen from the severed limbs and stuffing them into their pockets.

One of them, holding a wine jug, drank and cursed, "These bastards, they don't have a single penny to their name, and they're still bounty hunters in this state?"

"Stop talking nonsense and hurry up and carry him over there. The older women will be coming to bandage him up later."

"The big sisters? Nami? Nojiko? Or Alvida?"

"Of course it's Nami and Nojiko. I heard they're going to bandage these bastards themselves."

"Big Sister Alvida will only crush your bones—"

"I just saw them go to the boat to get their medicine."

"Why should we use those drugs? We might as well let them bleed to death."

"You don't know anything! The captain said he won't kill us, and he means it. Do you dare disobey the captain?"

"No, no, I wouldn't dare!"

Nami and Nojiko had already come down from the roof and were looking for medicine inside the Giant Ship. As they moved, some pirates naturally asked them questions out of curiosity.

There's no need to hide this, and Nojiko and Nami even need these pirate henchmen to prepare in advance.

When Nami and Nojiko arrived at the plaza, it had already been mostly cleaned up.

Under pressure and arrangement from the pirate henchmen, the survivors of Baroque Works maintained a relatively orderly line.

Someone lit torches, and the flames flickered in the night wind, illuminating the pale faces of the prisoners.

Nami took a deep breath and walked over, her boots making a sticky sound as they stepped into the pool of blood.

"Bring the first-aid kit over." She glanced down, frowned slightly, but didn't stop. "And alcohol, strong liquor. The more the better."

The pirate henchmen responded and hurriedly carried the large wooden crate, which was filled with bandages, ointments, needles and thread, scissors, and dozens of bottles of strong liquor.

Nami knelt down in front of a prisoner whose left leg was broken and examined his wound.

The broken part was charred by the fire.

That's how pirates treat wounds—by burning blood vessels to stop the bleeding; it's brutal but effective.

"Is this how you handle it?" Nami looked up and glanced at the pirate henchmen beside her.

The henchman scratched his head: "Boss, this—isn't this the fastest way—we just need to make sure we don't bleed to death immediately after we're done cutting."

This is actually a very normal practice. This world doesn't care about preferential treatment; it's good enough if they don't mistreat you.

Nami sighed, "It's already burned, there's nothing I can do. Bring me the wine."

Nochigao had already opened a bottle of strong liquor and handed it to him.

Nami took the bottle, tilted it, and let the liquid slowly flow onto the prisoner's wound.

"Aaaaaaah!!!"

The prisoner let out a heart-wrenching scream, sprang to his feet, and was then pushed back down by the pirate henchmen beside him.

His face was contorted in agony, and tears and snot streamed down his face.

"Bear with it." Nami's voice was calm as she continued working. "The alcohol is for disinfection, so pain is normal."

To be honest, this was only Bucky's order; otherwise, these prisoners wouldn't be qualified to be disinfected with high-concentration alcohol.

Nami washed the wound clean, then took out a jar of ointment from the medicine box, scooped out a large piece, applied it to the gauze, and wrapped it layer by layer around the prisoner's leg.

Nuoqi squatted down next to her, responsible for handing her tools, unscrewing bottle caps, and tearing gauze.

The two worked together seamlessly, treating the wounds one after another.

Elsewhere, several pirates with some medical skills were also helping out.

But their methods were much cruder.

Rinse with alcohol, wash clean, then char with fire to stop the bleeding, apply some medicine, bandage, and you're done.

Screams filled the entire square.

"Gently! Gently!"

"It hurts, it hurts, it hurts!"

"Aaaaaah!"

"Shut up! Shout again and I'll cut off your other leg too!"

"Waaah————"

There were no anesthetics, no painkillers, only strong liquor and fire.

The thought of that kind of pain is enough to make your scalp tingle.

Some people even felt so weak and listless after treatment that they looked like they were about to die.

After dealing with the last prisoner, Nami stood up and stretched her aching wrists.

Her clothes were stained with blood, with red spots on her cuffs, lapels, and even collar.

Nokiko wasn't in much better shape; the hem of her dress was soaked in blood, turning into a strange dark purple.

The two looked at each other and gave a wry smile.

"Go wash up first," Nami said.

"Mm." Noki nodded.

That's all the two of them can do; anything else is beyond their control.

While Nami and Nojiko were busy in the square below.

on the roof.

Only Bucky and Alvida remained.

Moonlight filtered through the gaps in the clouds, shining on Bucky and Alvida.

After Nami and Noji went down, the rooftop became quiet.

Buggy and Alvida watched Nami and Noji leave without saying anything.

Bucky leaned back in his chair, his hands clasped over his stomach, as the sunlight fell on the moon in the night sky.

Alvida stood by the wall, the moonlight clearly outlining every curve of her body.

Her chest was full and firm, stretching the fabric of her clothes slightly, rising and falling gently with her breath.

Her long, black, curly hair cascaded over her shoulders, with a few strands falling across her forehead and obscuring half of her eyes.

A night breeze blew by, causing her hair to flutter gently, revealing her delicate face beneath.

"Come on over," Bucky's voice came from behind, unhurried. "You know that."

Alvida paused slightly, then turned and walked towards Bucky.

Bucky's movements remained unchanged.

Alvida took a deep breath and placed her hand on Bucky's shoulder.

Massage, now it's massage time.

Noki had taught her finger placement, pressure, and rhythm.

Alvida remembered it clearly, but when she actually did it, her hands were still clumsy.

After placing my hand on Bucky's shoulder muscles, I could feel the strength through his clothes as I massaged them.

"The strength is acceptable." Bucky's voice was soft, with a hint of satisfaction.

Alvida's lips curled up slightly, but she quickly withdrew them and began to work even harder.

To be honest, as Bucky's strength has increased, his physical condition has also improved, and his muscles are really hard.

So when Alvida massages vigorously, there will inevitably be some physical contact—after all, she has a great figure, and her breasts are really big and moist.

Bucky's breathing changed slightly.

Alvida felt it; her heart skipped a beat. She could feel Bucky's body heat seeping through her clothes, a warm warmth with a reassuring stability.

Her fingers unconsciously stopped.

"What's wrong?" Bucky asked.

"It's nothing." Alvida shook her head, and her fingers started moving again.

Her movements are much more natural now than before, and the force is more even.

As for physical contact?

Some things are simply unavoidable.

Alvida's gaze fell on Bucky's profile.

Although his face was obscured by the mask, his lips were slightly upturned, conveying an unchanging composure.

The red nose on that face didn't look funny at all; instead, it had a unique charm.

That's the allure of the strong.

Alvida's heart skipped a beat; she was starting to experience a bit of Stockholm syndrome.

The two of them stayed there quietly for a while.

The night wind blew across the rooftops, ruffling Alvida's hair and brushing against Bucky's hand.

"That's about it." Bucky's voice came from the front, with a hint of a smile.

"Hmm." Alvida's fingers curled slightly, then slowly withdrew.

She stepped back and stood beside Bucky, her hands hanging at her sides, her gaze fixed on the distant moonlight.

There was an indescribable blush on her face, which was particularly noticeable in the pale moonlight.
