Pirate: I, Buggy, am the Emperor, the Emperor of the Clown King!
Chapter 72 The Test Subjects Have Been Delivered
Chapter 72 The Test Subjects Have Been Delivered
Sachs didn't speak because he knew Bellamy wasn't asking a question, but just complaining.
"Whether it's a Logia type, a Paramecia type, or a Zoan type," Bellamy put her feet off the table and stood up, "on this vast ocean, strength is everything."
"Bounty? Fame? Those are all empty words."
"That Pakistani guy, hiding in the East for over twenty years, does he even deserve it?"
"The world belongs only to the great Lord Doflamingo!"
Bellamy's voice echoed in the room. He was a fanatical fan of Doflamingo, though Doflamingo himself looked down on a nobody like Bellamy.
Hewitt leaned against the door frame, his arms crossed over his chest, his massive body completely filling the doorway.
"Captain, should we go and meet them?"
"No rush." Bellamy shook his head, walked back to his chair and sat down. "Let's see who they are first."
Just then, a commotion arose downstairs.
Bellamy frowned slightly and tilted his head toward the window.
Sachs walked to the window and glanced downstairs.
Across the street, two pirates dressed in brightly colored clothes were coming out of the tavern.
They walked along with excited smiles on their faces, talking loudly as they went.
"Our captain said that Skypiea is real! Even the Pirate King has been there!"
"Nonsense! Would the captain lie? The captain is destined to become a god of the new world!"
"Yes, yes, yes! Long live Lord Clown King!"
Sachs turned around and looked at Bellamy.
Bellamy's lips twitched, and he stood up from his chair and walked to the window.
He looked at the two pirates, a cold glint in his eyes.
"Sky Island?" Bellamy's laughter carried an unspeakable sarcasm. "The gods of the new world?"
He turned around and walked towards the door.
Sachs followed behind him.
Hewitt straightened up from the door frame and stepped aside.
The three people walked downstairs.
In the hall, the pirates who were playing cards saw Bellamy come down and immediately stood up, throwing their cards onto the table.
"captain."
"captain."
Bellamy ignored them and walked straight toward the door.
I walked to the door and stopped.
"Someone told me that there are dreams in this world." Bellamy's voice wasn't loud, but it carried clearly to everyone's ears. "But I think dreams are an excuse for the weak."
A sinister grin spread across his face. "Let's go see that guy who claims he'll become a god."
Bellamy is an extreme realist; he hates this kind of dream.
The two henchmen of the Buggy Pirates that he had his eye on were preparing to return to where Buggy was.
They were still chatting, still bragging about Bucky, and still laughing.
Then they heard footsteps behind them—not one or two, but a large group.
The two pirate henchmen turned around, their expressions serious. Clearly, they had been provoked. To be honest, this was quite a common occurrence in Mogu Town.
The Buggy Pirates, while currently not wanting to cause trouble, are also no longer afraid of it.
Bellamy stood in front of them, hands in his pockets, a disdainful smile on his lips.
Sachs stood behind him, the large dagger in his hand gleaming coldly in the sunlight.
Hewitt stood on the other side, his massive body like a wall.
There were also Murray, Rebecca, and a dozen or so members of the Bellamy Pirates.
"You!" One of the pirate henchmen's expressions changed, and he subconsciously took half a step back. "What are you going to do?"
""
"Nothing much." Bellamy gave a cruel smile. "I just want to ask you a few questions."
"Wh-what's the problem?"
"You're saying your captain is going to become a god of the new world?" Bellamy tilted his head. "He said the Sky Island is real?"
He also said he wanted to stand at the top of the world?
The two pirate henchmen turned even paler, but still gritted their teeth and said, "Yes! Our captain said so!"
"————" Bellamy was very unhappy to hear this admission.
As he pulled his right hand out of his pocket, most of his arm transformed into a spring, compressing potential energy, and then he launched his fist out, grabbing one of the pirate henchmen by the neck, dragging him in front of him, and lifting him up.
"How pathetic." Bellamy didn't believe Bucky at all, thinking it was just a lie. "Being fooled by a madman and then helping him count his money."
The pirate henchman whose neck was being choked turned bright red, his legs kicking wildly in the air, and his hands desperately trying to pry Bellamy's fingers off, but he couldn't budge them.
Another pirate henchman tried to run away, but was kicked to the ground by Sakis, who then pressed a large dagger against his throat.
"Don't move," Sachs's voice was low and deep. "Move even once, and I'll slit your throat."
The pirate henchman froze, trembling all over.
Bellamy released his grip, and the pirate henchman who had been choked fell to the ground, clutching his neck and coughing violently.
"Lead the way," Bellamy said. "Take me to your captain."
"I want him to tell me himself what the God of the New World is."
"9
The two pirate henchmen exchanged a glance, seeing the same thing in each other's eyes.
Fear, but not fear of Bellamy.
What they feared was that Pakistan would be punished for their poor performance.
But they had no choice.
Sakis's dagger was still pressed against one person's throat, while Bellamy's Spring-Spring Fruit ability had already been witnessed by another person.
They could only lead the way.
The Buggy Pirates' temporary base.
Two pirate henchmen stood outside the door, their faces pale and their bodies trembling.
Bellamy stood behind them, arms crossed, a disdainful smile on his lips.
"Is this the place?"
"————Yes————" A pirate henchman's voice trembled.
Bellamy laughed, raised his foot, and kicked the wooden door.
"Bang-!!!"
The wooden door was kicked open, and the door panel slammed against the wall with a loud bang.
Bellamy tossed the two pirate henchmen in like trash, one in each hand.
They fell to the ground, rolled twice, and lay prone on the rubble, too afraid to lift their heads.
Bellamy then followed him inside, standing in the doorway with his hands in his pockets, his gaze sweeping across the hall.
The hall was empty, with only a few tables and chairs, and a pot of tea and a few cups on the tables.
Although the Buggy Pirates have a lively banquet at night, they don't hold it all day long; they rest most of the time during the day.
Organizing banquets must be tiring too.
"Is this where the so-called 'God of the New World' lives?" Bellamy laughed. "It's not all that great."
Sachs stood behind him, a large dagger in his hand.
Hewitt, Murray, Rebecca, and the other members of the Bellamy Pirates stood at the door, each with a contemptuous smile on their face.
"Captain, did that guy run away?" Rebecca tilted her head, her long red hair swaying over her shoulder.
"Run?" Bellamy laughed. "Where can you run to?"
He hadn't finished speaking.
Footsteps came from the direction of the stairs.
Bellamy's gaze fell on the stairwell.
Sachs's fingers tightened around the dagger.
Hewitt's smile froze for a moment.
Behind Murray's sunglasses, his pupils contracted slightly.
Rebecca's lips twitched.
The members of the Bellamy Pirates looked as if something had grabbed their throats, their laughter, contempt, and disdain barely contained.
They've all disappeared.
Although I only heard his voice and never saw him, the feeling was definitely different.
He's a master!
Bucky came down the stairs.
On the one hand, it's just a day off, so there's no need to be too formal.
On the other hand, those who come looking for trouble are minor figures, so there's no need to take them too seriously.
So Bucky wasn't wearing the Clown King costume; he was just wearing a black robe with a white sash around his waist.
However, the black and white mask was worn on his face.
Bucky really likes this mask; it looks like a master.
Following Buggy were Nami, Nojiko, and Alvida.
As Bucky's woman, her daily task was naturally to serve him.
Okay, Nami and Nojiko still have some serious business to attend to.
Alvida is really alright.
So Nami and Nojiko often leave Buggy with her to buy time — this is probably what plastic sisterhood looks like?
"Oh~" Bucky walked down the stairs and stood in the center of the hall.
His gaze swept over the uninvited guests—from Bellamy, Satchis, Hewitt, Murray, and Rebecca, to the pirate henchmen standing at the door.
Then Bucky encountered a problem: he didn't recognize any of these people, they didn't look particularly special, and he couldn't identify them at all.
There was no way around it; once Buggy came into this world, he knew he would definitely look different from the characters in anime and manga.
If he doesn't have any particularly distinctive personal characteristics, then even if he appears in front of Bucky, Bucky won't recognize him.
"Such a big entourage, are they here for a banquet?" Bucky didn't pay much attention to these small fry who had suddenly shown up at his door.
"If you are a guest, please state your name."
Of course, he only pretends not to care; he will definitely be punished. In this respect, Bucky is not as good-tempered as Shanks.
Your Uncle Bucky is really, really bad.
Behind Buggy, Nami, Nojiko, and Alvida looked at these guys who had come to provoke you with extremely pitying eyes—you won't have a good ending.
Bellamy frowned.
He had seen many pirates, some arrogant, some conceited, some so timid they would turn to jelly at the sight of him.
But there has never been anyone like the masked man before us.
They were clearly attacked and provoked, yet they acted as if nothing had happened.
It wasn't feigned composure.
It is a genuine composure that emanates from within.
That composure made Bellamy very uncomfortable.
—It was as if I had encountered an ant that was completely unworthy of my attention.
—It is a kind of extreme arrogance from top to bottom.
"You're Bucky?" Bellamy was eager to test his skills. He was extremely arrogant and overconfident in his own abilities.
"Heh." Bucky chuckled softly. "I gave you the leeway to introduce yourself, but you didn't even have the patience to wait for that leeway—how pathetic."
Bellamy's pupils contracted slightly.
He didn't understand Bucky's words, but he sensed something.
Something indescribable, something that sends chills down your spine.
"Enough nonsense!" Bellamy suppressed his unease. "I'm asking you, you said you wanted to become the god of the new world? You said the Sky Island is real?"
"So you smashed my door and beat up two of my men just to ask this kind of pointless question?" Bucky's smile remained unchanged, but his voice held an indescribable air of pleasure.
What fate awaits this idiot who has come to our door?
That must have been an incredibly tragic end to match his stupidity and ignorance.
"Boring?" Bellamy burst out laughing. "Hahaha! You think I'm boring?"
"You coward who's been hiding in the East Blue for over twenty years, come all the way to the Grand Line to swagger around, and you even say you want to become a god!" Do you know how ridiculous your words are on this ocean?
Bellamy is a realist; he hates dreams that are completely out of touch with reality.
"————" Baji already looked down on Bellamy, and then this guy mocked dreams, so he looked down on him even more.
"Without ever having looked down upon the world from a high vantage point, one's perspective will ultimately be that of a frog at the bottom of a well."
"Bakira sighed and said something."
Bei Shangmi's face darkened.
"Didn't Doflamingo teach you what manners are?" Buggy asked again.
"Nonsense!" Bessou clenched his fists. He acted under Doflamingo's name and greatly admired Doflamingo.
"You simply don't understand what price the weak have to pay for provoking the strong?" Bucky had already laid out the price for Bessie.
"How dare you disregard us!" Sachs stepped out from behind Bessami, pointing a large dagger at Bucky.
"Hehehe." Bucky laughed with interest. Since he was just killing time anyway, why not watch something interesting?
Then, in the next instant, Bucky appeared in front of Bellamy's noodles and patted Bellamy on the shoulder.
"This is the difference between you and me."
Bucky can touch Bessami's body in an instant, and he can break his neck in an instant as well.
Bei Shangmi's pupils suddenly contracted, and the hairs on his body stood on end. Then he felt a tremendous force coming from his chest.
boom!
Bucky placed his hand on Bess's chest, and then an incredibly powerful force surged from that palm.
Bellamy was sent flying, like a cannonball, passing through the pirate minions luring at the door and crashing into the wall of the building opposite.
"boom--!!!"
The wall was dented, and Bei Shangmi was embedded in it, with rubble and dust falling from his body.
The hall fell silent.
Sachs's hand trembled, and he almost dropped the large dagger.
Hewitt's body froze in place, like a stone statue.
Murray's sunglasses slipped off his nose, but he didn't fix them.
Rebecca's lips were red, and her long red hair swayed gently in the wind.
The members of the Bessoumi Pirates were like frogs caught in a snake's gaze, frozen in place, afraid to move or even breathe.
Nami leaned behind Buggy, a slight smile playing on her lips.
Noki kept her head down, seemingly lost in thought.
Alvida lowered the spiked club from her shoulder, the tip of which struck the ground with a dull thud.
"Generally speaking, someone like you is completely unworthy of my attention, but I happen to be troubled by something recently." Buggy was wondering how to extract the Rumble-Rumble Fruit from Enel's body, but there was no Devil Fruit user to experiment with.
He couldn't possibly experiment on himself, or Alvida, or Wapol—the cost of such an experiment would be too high.
Even Rushum, the user of the Fungus-Fungus Fruit, was somewhat reluctant to part with it.
If the battle fails, the cost seems a bit too high.
And isn't this just a coincidence?
The Spring-Spring Fruit is such a useless fruit that even if it fails, it won't hurt.
Bellamy fell off the wall and landed on the ground, clutching his chest, staring at Bucky: "You—you—Bucky—"
you----"
"Heh." Bucky chuckled and turned around. "You're not worthy to call me by my name."
"Let's get started, everyone!"
"Wow!" Alvida laughed happily, swung her spiked club, and charged towards the members of the Bessoumi Pirates.
"And Wapol, let me see your strength now." Buggy looked in the direction behind Fang Gong.
Wapol was tormented by Bucky so much that he now has autistic tendencies and likes to lock himself in his room.
But if they hear Bucky's orders, they will still act.
