Chapter 112 The Stone Fortress

Chapter 112 The Stone Fortress

A Thunder Eagle fighter jet quietly took off.

Lancelot stared at them, then quietly slipped into their shadows.

When the news reached the Truth Seeker, and when it was learned that the Unforgivables had returned and told the other Dark Angels about their ordeal, all the Astartes on the ship were in an uproar.

Everyone was engulfed in a heated debate because of the news they brought.

"The Lion's Hour?! What a joke! A lion would never leave such a prophecy! It's entirely possible that you've been contaminated by the warp! Your cognition has been interfered with, or even misled!"

One of the Unforgiven Ones slammed his fist on the table and growled, "I think there's something strange about this planet! The Weeping Ones are too sinister. In my opinion, we should drop a Cyclone Torpedo on this planet immediately!"

The Unforgivable looked at Lancelot's blurry figure in the video, and he couldn't believe that this was their genetic father.

But his voice barely made a ripple in the crowd; silence prevailed. In that silence, all the dark angels understood that they had longed for the Primarch's return for far too long.

"Before Lemanrus of the Space Wolves left, he told them to wait for the 'Moment of the Wolves' to arrive before returning to lead them again—"

"The Fire Dragon Lord of the Salamanders also made a prophecy, leaving behind nine powerful artifacts that he personally crafted. Only after his descendants have retrieved all nine relics scattered throughout the galaxy and proven their worthiness to be led by him will Vulcan rejoin the battle."

"Guilliman—Guilliman was still asleep, but now he has awakened, brothers—I have a theory. I believe that Lancelot, even if he is not the Primarch, should be someone closely related to us Primarchs!"

The Deathwing Inner Ring Knight Commander, a veteran who had fought Lancelot, clenched his fists and whispered, "I saw that sword in that instant! Every cell in my body and my soul told me that he was the Lord of the First Legion! I believe he is our genetic father! He is that great lion!"

"Moreover, what he said wasn't some empty rhetoric. He made us win thirteen consecutive victories against the Space Wolves in a fair and square duel. I think he was testing our willpower, testing whether the Dark Angels would still be worthy of his leadership ten thousand years from now!"

"I will return to the Rock! There, I will gather enough men to begin training! The First Legion Commander said we need to achieve 13 consecutive victories honorably, so we will prove it to the Father of Genetics! The Dark Angels are still the Empire's sharpest blade!"

The Deathwing Knight Commander said in a deep voice, "I believe that once we accomplish this, the Lion will fulfill its promise!"

"He will return like Guilliman! To lead the loyal First Army once more."

"I hereby declare the establishment of the Ring of Return! The Order of Return! This secret must be protected until the Lion King truly returns!"

As he spoke, he won the approval of most of the dark angels.

They did not intend to announce this information to all the Dark Angels, which was also a precautionary measure for them—the return of the Primarch was a major event for the entire Legion, but the greater the hope, the greater the disappointment. At this moment, it was as if they had vaguely seen the Primarch's reflection in the water and only chose to go and pursue him after hearing Lancelot's vague answer.

However, Lancelot had already been secretly operating on the Truth Seeker warship.

With the blessing of not seeking personal glory, Lancelot can blend into the crowd without being noticed as long as he doesn't act too much.

As Lancelot heard that his casual remark about the Lion's Moment was being taken so seriously by the Unforgivables, he merely raised an eyebrow.

Although the Space Wolves were just something Lancelot mentioned casually, he was indeed planning to find an opportunity to visit Fenris, the Space Wolves' homeland.

This place is also a popular tourist destination for various races in the universe. This planet is even said to be conscious, and it has a region that is directly connected to the subspace. Basically, all the famous and well-known figures have walked through this place.

The main reason Lancelot went to this place was because he recalled that on the reversed world's pseudo-meridian, the reversed traitorous wolf king was also a part of the Chaos army, and even a slave of Khorne.

If given the chance, Lancelot would like to look in Fenris for anything related to Lemanus so that the Emperor can forge him a weapon specifically for slaying the Wolf King—but for now, he should return to the Stone Fortress with the Truth Seeker.

With that thought in mind, Lancelot waited on the ship.

Then—when the psionic signal from the Stone Fortress became extremely clear, Lancelot opened his eyes from meditation and reached out to pull out the Undying Lake Light from his hand.

The Unforgiven returned to their fortress, unaware that Lancelot had followed them back to the Stone Fortress.

A misty fog began to spread through the secret chambers of the Stone Fortress, known only to a select few. When Lancelot revealed himself, a slight unease seemed to stir within the very core of the Stone Fortress.

As Lancelot walked through the secret chamber of the giant stone, his hand on his longsword, hooded figures quietly emerged from the darkness, curiously watching him.

They are the Dark Watchers, legendary as mysterious servants within the Stone Fortress, but it's highly likely they existed long before the Great Crusade. Their primary duty is to guard the ancient alien artifact, the Ouroboros, and after Caliban's destruction, they took on an additional responsibility: protecting the Primarch, Llane al-Jonson, who slumbers deep within the Stone Fortress.

Their abilities are also very strong; they are almost immune to physical attacks, can resist and restrain chaotic forces, and can even alter space to hide secret rooms or create illusions to test others.

However, Lancelot is clearly not someone who needs to be tested. His two major abilities, Inviolable Domain and Cognitive Immunity, render illusions completely ineffective against him.

Moreover, the Dark Watchers felt a blessing emanating from Lancelot, even a blessing from themselves, a blessing that told them that the man before them was the Lord of the First Legion—but this was strange, because in their eyes, the Lord of the First Legion was still asleep deep within the boulder.

Lancelot didn't explain much, but simply took out the Emperor's Blood. The moment the golden blood appeared, all the Dark Watchers began to experience drastic emotional changes.

Although they don't speak but communicate through thought, their communication channels are probably already in an uproar.

"Take me to him."

Lancelot spoke up, "Guilliman has awakened, and it's time for the Primarch of the First Legion to awaken as well."
