Chapter 169 The Primarch Angron
Chapter 169 The Primarch Angron
Sending a small satellite to a distant planet is not a pipe dream in the Warhammer universe. During the Beast Wars, the incredibly powerful Orc warlord "Beast" once teleported a battle moon the size of the moon directly to the Solar System.
Members of the Imperial Mechanicus once teleported the Orcish capital of Ulanor to the location of Armageddon. This demonstrates that, in the Warhammer universe, moving celestial bodies is not a difficult task if one is willing to pay a certain price.
So Lancelot entered the room of the first High Master.
There, the Grand Master left behind a peculiar device. Lancelot could feel that the shield in his hand seemed to resonate with the device before him, and at that moment, Lancelot also understood the principle behind this device.
Essentially, this thing seems to be a psionic amplification device.
Similarly, the Marksman Macardo can easily throw an entire planet into the warp, and the Emperor can easily compress a star into an energy source the size of a glass bead.
Powerful psionicists are virtually omnipotent in the real world, and this device contains the soul of a powerful psionicist.
The first Supreme Master—a loyal Thousand Words who fused with a fragment of Magnus's benevolent soul—ultimately chose to integrate his own soul fragment into the instrument before him. Thus, given the right timing, this planet could freely traverse and wander through the galaxy.
This may also be something left behind by the ruler of the empire, but there is no doubt that this machine will be of great help.
"Hopefully we're not too late."
Lancelot could only think this way, and all the Grey Knights began to work together to come to the device, pouring their spiritual energy into this mysterious device that housed the soul of the first Supreme Grand Master.
And so, a myriad of scenes began to appear before people's eyes.
The souls of all the Grey Knights seemed to be about to be stripped away, but Lancelot's presence acted like a stabilizing force, keeping their souls firmly within their bodies, while allowing their senses to touch the magnificent High Heaven.
Some of the Knights' prophets were also deeply shocked at this moment. The prophets in the Grey Knights were like lighthouses, monitoring the guiding signals in the warp. They were usually brothers who could no longer fight, but whose spirits were exceptionally strong. Their duty was to hunt for the ripples caused by the strongest invasion of the Chaos in the Sea of Souls.
This process was extremely dangerous. Each search felt like bearing an immense burden, but this time, the surging vastness of the subspace around Lancelot could not shake them in the slightest!
As Lancelot, who was in charge, stretched out his hand, countless wisps of mist began to display bizarre and fantastical illusions before his eyes.
"OMG----"
Some of the new Grey Knight recruits were also shocked at this moment. Even those of them who had undergone training rarely had the ability to project their spirit in this way.
Everyone seemed to be riding on an unimaginably magnificent abode. Lancelot, carrying the psionic power of these Grey Knights, pierced directly through the curtain and plunged into the warp, into that bizarre and formless illusion.
This was a familiar scene for every Grey Knight. As psionicists, their training required them to infiltrate the High Heavens without the protection of the Geller Force Field. It was a difficult experience, but the Grey Knights were determined and able to withstand the mental waves in the warp.
This time, the previously shrill warp waves yielded before Lancelot. Some noticed a bright lantern in the elder Lancelot's hand, the mist began to dissipate, and Amigidon began to revive.
The scene begins to swoop down over the world, soaring above a city that has been burned and destroyed.
Lancelot's eyes narrowed slightly as he led all the Grey Knights through the thick smoke and disappeared beneath the sickly clouds.
Lancelot first surveyed the entirety of Amegiddon, where only one human fortress remained standing. Then, in the heart of that recently fallen city near the capital, ragged warriors clad in scarlet and bronze terracotta armor chanted and screamed towards the dark sky.
They gripped battle axes forged in the early days of the Empire, their jagged roars clashing with the warriors' frenzied chants—these were Chaos Space Marines of the World Eaters.
However, Lancelot's goal wasn't to find these guys; henchmen were beneath his notice.
He was searching for something huge and intense, and soon Lancelot found it.
After the morbid dampness and the stench of fresh blood, a shadow tainted the heart of the army. He seemed to sense something rising from the ruins of a temple, spreading terrifying wings toward the sky, its head twisted as if locking onto something.
Because of their varying spiritual powers, the Grey Knights saw different things. Some saw a deep red mist, while others saw a monster with cracked bones and scales. Only Lancelot could see its entire form.
Primarch — Angron.
Across the warp, the Primarch sensed Lancelot's psionic aura. Its skeletal face turned, its expression dull and sluggish, and as their gazes seemed to collide across time and space, Lancelot felt his heart pounding faster than ever before.
After all, his left heart originated from the Twelfth Legion Commander of another world—and now, facing the Primarch of this world, it is indeed quite normal for a connection to emerge between counterparts under certain circumstances.
"With glory, prepare to set off, soldiers!"
As Lancelot spoke, he drew his longsword and stood it on the ground, mist billowing out. At this moment, Lancelot activated his subspace essence.
And so, in Armageddon, all the Khorne followers seemed to slightly raise their heads, and they saw the fog in the sky.
The atmosphere seemed to change slightly, as if the head of a lion was coalescing in the sky.
At that moment, the Primarch's coal-pit-like eye sockets began to churn wildly, blood boiling and bubbling in its swollen tear glands! It flowed out like lava, then roared at the sky! Tearing apart the mist in the sky.
Perhaps this can hold him back for a few seconds.
Lancelot gently closed his eyes. His connection with Armageddon was interrupted at this moment, but it didn't matter, as he had already recorded Armageddon's spatial coordinates.
"I will prepare with you to make a true Primarch bleed. The Soul of Vengeance is but a young, newly born monster, and now, the Lord of the Twelfth Legion from ten thousand years ago awaits us in Armageddon."
