Warhammer: My buddy has too many secrets!
Chapter 22 Supporting the Future
The warp is in a frenzy of activity.
The Emperor's gaze fell upon this place, and the attention of the chaotic evil gods was also drawn to it.
All the strange phenomena have already explained everything: the imperial blood in the hands of the person before us is genuine!
"So, how should I address you?"
Angelona toned down her aggressive demeanor and asked the question in as appropriate and respectful a language as possible.
"Um, my real name will definitely have to be kept secret, but you can call me Lancelot. I just don't know if that Emperor guy ever played King Arthur..."
As Lancelot spoke, he suddenly noticed a complicated expression on Angelona's face. Lancelot assumed she knew the story of King Arthur and thought he, Lancelot, had outdone King Arthur's wife, so he quickly explained:
"Don't worry, I have nothing to do with that god-like figure, your mother, Erda. Back then, it was probably that immortal being who lost her mind, and was likely bewitched by Chaos, which led her to open the warp vortex, scattering all of you brothers and sisters to various parts of the galaxy. I swear this has absolutely nothing to do with me!"
Lancelot's words echoed through the arena, and upon hearing them, the loyal crimson angels couldn't help but collectively take a step back.
This is because they were frightened.
Go to hell! I don't want to hear that!
What is this seemingly young, but actually ancient, fossil-like old man saying?
So, besides the Emperor as their father, the Primarchs had a mother?! And this mother was actually the culprit who caused the Primarchs to be scattered throughout the universe?!
The once-raging Kahn suddenly lost his temper.
Despite his ferocious fighting style, everyone knows that Kahn simply prefers to be perceived as rude, thus obscuring his profound wisdom.
But now… he began to feel that his wisdom had somewhat harmed him, because he could completely understand the elder's words. What the elder had just said…
A sense of absurdity arose in Kahn's mind.
What was described with ornate language in the Book of Words appeared in a completely different light in the words of this elder, like trivial matters.
So there's such a hidden story behind the Primarch's disappearance... And who would have thought that besides the Emperor, the Primarch actually had a mother in this world?
Since they are immortal... they should still be alive...
Kahn was thinking this to himself, but at that moment, Angelona gently shook her head:
"It doesn't matter... She's dead, she died during the Siege of Terra."
With a single sentence, she lightly dismissed the matter, and Anglona's psychic power sensed the storm in the warp... her gaze fixed on the source of everything.
"Elder Lancelot, since you say you will preserve a glimmer of hope for humanity, then what brings you here?"
As Anglona spoke, Lancelot, upon hearing this, slightly withdrew his attention from the prompts on the Keeper of Secrets panel.
……
[The secret has been recorded: Primarch Ilda.]
[Security Level: Level 1: Silence Level.]
[Description: Primarch Ilda, unwilling to let her children become tools of the Emperor, was seduced by Chaos and unleashed a warp storm, scattering Primarchs throughout the universe.]
[Reward: Custom-made Dreadnought Armor]
[Combat Score: +1 (Disclosed due to leak)]
Current battle score: 95
……
So, Erda's matter was a secret too?!
Lancelot was slightly surprised; he hadn't expected to trigger a leak without his knowledge.
But the Erda incident is only at level one? Perhaps this secret is too old and doesn't have much impact on the current physical universe.
The unique feature of the self-guardian system is that recording secrets will earn rewards, while deliberately leaking secrets will deduct corresponding combat points.
Fortunately, the Level 1 Secret Combat score only adds a negligible 1 point, and the reward won't be deducted, so he still obtained the Dreadnought Armor this time. But this thing is essentially an iron coffin, so Lancelot didn't pay much attention to it.
"Senior citizens?"
Snapping out of his daze, Lancelot quickly organized his thoughts after hearing Primarch Anglona ask him again why he had come here.
"In itself... this was an accident."
Lancelot carefully considered his words: "My plan was supposed to come about when the Empire was without a Primarch, to awaken a loyal son of the Emperor with the blood of the Emperor, but it seems I've come too early."
"Are you early?"
Upon hearing this, a subtle, indescribable emotion flickered in Angelona's crimson-gold pupils:
"Are you saying that only when all the loyal Primarchs have disappeared, and the Imperium of Man is on the verge of destruction, should you appear?"
"That's not what I meant, but even if the Primarchs disappear, I don't think the Empire of Man will really perish."
Lancelot shook his head slightly. In another world, even without the Primarch, the human empire had persevered for 1 years through trials and tribulations.
Compared to this mirror universe, the original entity of this world still exists, but the battlefield of its own main world clearly needs its help more.
"I need to know which millennium it is now. If possible, I need to see the Emperor in person within seven days because I have a plan."
"plan?"
Lancelot looked at the loyal Primarch before him, who was holding the Imperial Sword, and said:
"Yes, I need him to infuse his power into his blood, and then one day I will return, bringing far more than he has given, bringing hope."
"I call it... supporting the future."
Lancelot reached out and raised the Imperial Blood in his hand.
Anglona stepped forward and took the vial of serum from Lancelot.
The instant the object left his hand, Lancelot felt a momentary emptiness, yet also a sense of relief as if a heavy burden had been lifted from his body.
"call……"
Lancelot let out a long sigh of relief, while Anglona stood in front of him.
She silently gazed at the quartz tube in her hand, within which flowed her father's blood like a jewel. Then, she felt a long-lost, radiant sense of relief emanating from Lancelot.
Angelona's gaze instantly focused on Lancelot, and as the two drew closer, her pupils trembled slightly.
So dazzling... such brilliant emotions and soul.
This was the first thing Primarch Anglona sensed from Lancelot, the "old friend of the Emperor," after getting close.
