Warhammer: My buddy has too many secrets!

Chapter 28 Crimson Angel Legion

This demonstrates the extraordinary nature of imperial blood.

The situation at the time was truly unavoidable. The Emperor's blood was seen by a large number of intelligent beings, and that knowledge of the Emperor's blood would inevitably be fed back into the subspace along with the souls of those beings.

Before long, the evil gods would also sense the anomaly, so the emperor chose to descend directly, which attracted the attention of the four evil gods, thus igniting the war.

Although the outcome was good, Lancelot could not imagine what kind of power the Emperor had infused into his blood, but that power was something that the Emperor and Anglona would be willing to protect even at the cost of Nuthria's destruction.

This incident also served as a reminder to me that I need to be more cautious in the future.

In the main world, he subtly informed the Chapter Master of Malakin about this matter, making thorough preparations, and even carefully erasing his memory afterward.

But after learning about the reactions of the four evil gods in this mirror world... Lancelot also realized how much risk he had taken by showing that thing to the Commander of the Malakin Warband.

In this world.

The four demon armies and the four demon primates were alarmed.

If this happened in the main universe... in a universe where the Primarch hadn't awakened yet... it would be an earth-shattering, catastrophic event.

Taking a deep breath, Lancelot adjusted his mindset.

The Glory Chariot brought Lancelot to the highest-ranking reception palace in Nuseria, which was located on the edge of the grassland where Lancelot had first arrived.

It is located on the boundary between the city and the grassland, and the sky above the grassland is actually a huge space fortress platform.

If Chaos were to truly invade, the fortress platform would have to be destroyed in order to completely conquer Nuthria.

Even if the fortress is destroyed, falling into Nuseria will not damage any anti-aircraft firepower; it will only destroy the grassland without damaging the anti-aircraft firepower.

From the room, one can see the flat and open grassland scenery through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. Moreover, Lancelot discovered that this grassland is not actually off-limits to people; it's just that people tacitly avoid venturing deep into the grassland.

In this place, Lancelot was able to remove his ancient, jet-black power armor and hand it over to the mechanical priest in charge of its maintenance.

Angelona's last words were that she wanted to take a look around this place, and Lancelot readily agreed, after all, he also wanted to see what Nuseria was like in this reversed world.

After taking a bath in the enormous bathhouse, Lancelot checked into the place. While wandering around, he discovered that the building was solemnly guarded by a large number of laureate warriors from the Crimson Angels Legion.

During his wanderings, Lancelot also discovered that this building was one of the Crimson Angels' combat command centers, where a large number of high-ranking officers of the legion were discussing tactics next to the holographic projection.

Lancelot had gained the approval of the Primarch of Anglora and could freely enter the meeting. Naturally, the Crimson Angels respected Lancelot, whom they regarded as an "elder." Even after Lancelot stated that he was merely observing, they did not deviate from their actions in the slightest due to his presence.

After listening to many tactics, Lancelot gained a deeper understanding of this loyal legion.

Rational and efficient.

But most importantly, the number of apothecaries, or doctors, among the Astartes is exceptionally high in this Crimson Angel Legion.

Almost every Crimson Angel has received training as a pharmacist.

Near the palace at the command center was the Crimson Angels' military hospital, where Lancelot even observed trainee Astartes learning how to perform heart transplants on their comrades on the battlefield.

"As the glorious Astartes, the Emperor has endowed you with two hearts, so that even if one of them is destroyed, you will still be able to function normally."

"This is a second life bestowed by the God-Emperor, but this life doesn't belong only to you; he can also give it to those comrades who have lost them in battle!"

"Once your comrade in battle is seriously injured, but you are certain that his brain is not dead, his torso is largely intact, and the surrounding area is safe, you can perform an emergency heart transplant on him, that is, remove one of your own hearts to prolong your comrade's life."

Lancelot watched as the Astartes instructor from the military hospital skillfully opened his chest armor, took out a bunch of devices and stabbed them near his heart, and finally, without blinking, used a monomolecular knife to cut open his left chest.

He completely removed a still-beating heart from his own body within a minute, and then grafted it onto Astartes in less than thirty seconds.

The grafting process doesn't require excessive precision. With Astartes' vitality, as long as the main blood vessels are aligned, the superhuman organs within the body can be activated to prolong life.

Of course, this operation is for emergency situations. To achieve a true recovery, a specialized docking surgery is required, which will be the next round of training by the Astartes instructors.

The Crimson Angels... I never imagined that the former Warhound Legion could turn into this. A loyal Primarch can have such a profound impact on their genetic offspring.

Lancelot couldn't help but sigh.

Lancelot then wandered around the city of Nutheria, taking off his power armor and changing into civilian clothes. Even so, the Space Marine's tall figure was still quite conspicuous among ordinary people, but fortunately, the people of Nutheria seemed to have long been accustomed to the presence of these imperial angels in their lives.

Lancelot walked through the streets, with broadcasts occasionally ringing out.

"Nuseria is about to face a Chaos invasion. All combatants are to prepare for battle. Minors are advised to seek refuge in the Underground Core after three Terra Days."

The broadcast made no attempt to conceal the fact that their homeland was about to be invaded, but none of the Nusera showed any fear at the prospect of the approaching Chaos.

Lancelot walked through the crowd, accompanied by his attendants, until he arrived at a large playground where young people were active.

In this place, Lancelot encountered another Astartes warrior who was not wearing armor.

The other person was teaching a large group of children who looked to be only about fourteen years old, and the three gold nails on his forehead surprised Lancelot, who was surprised that the other person was actually a veteran with three hundred years of service!

How could such a veteran, after experiencing the brutality of war, still be able to play with children like this? Lancelot could clearly see the tenderness and joy hidden in the other's eyes beneath his resolute face.

Near the playground, a group of elderly people, who appeared to be the children's elders, were sitting and cheering them on, even though they were facing what seemed to be an almost invincible enemy.

Lancelot could even see some elderly people in wheelchairs wiping their guns and cannons in the sunlight, preparing for the upcoming war.

At this moment, something seemed to stir within Lancelot.
