Warhammer: My buddy has too many secrets!

Chapter 45 This is a good thing!

As the saying goes, "More sweat in training, less blood in real combat," but from the moment Lancelot personally initiated the "Trial of Honor," in less than half an hour, the thirty members of the Weeping Band had already been sent flying by Lancelot using various methods.

In actual combat, no one lasted more than five rounds. Lancelot later even allowed teams of two or three to enter the fray, but even that was just a delaying tactic.

As the battle progressed, Chapter Master Malakin was no longer considering "who can defeat Elder Lancelot to prove their worth" in this trial, but rather "who can stay on the field a little longer and salvage the chapter's reputation to some extent."

Unfortunately, as things stand now, none of the players who have taken the field are a match for Lancelot.

Thump... Another one was flung away.

Including the one that just flew out, this is the thirtieth person to be defeated in half an hour. As the fight progressed, even Lancelot himself realized that now that his combat score was consistently over 100, ordinary Astartes elites were no different from ordinary soldiers in his eyes.

Pure numerical superiority made their movements seem too slow in Lancelot's eyes. Lancelot tried to learn from them, but always felt awkward and ultimately decided not to think about it anymore.

Since I can win by relying on numbers, I should specialize in numbers. When the left punch deals high damage, the right punch also deals high damage, and there won't be any problem demonstrating my skills.

"Are you alright?"

The culprit, Lancelot, stood in the middle of the field, glanced at the Weeping One he had thrown away in the distance, and casually tossed out a secret technique diagram. It seemed that he was concerned, but for some reason, it made the Weeping One's mouth twitch.

"No...it's nothing."

The veteran, who had been thrown off balance, was a little dizzy. Even with his superhuman brain, he was still trying to process what had just happened.

Just before they were about to meet, Lancelot grabbed his wrist with his left hand, and he lost control of his body. The ground slammed into his face, and before he even hit the ground, he was kicked in the chest. Then, following the force of the kick, he was grabbed, his wrist was flung away, and he flew out like a rag doll.

The Space Marines' combined strength, speed, reflexes, and stamina completely overwhelmed mortals. Any elite Stormstrike Force of the Asgardian Army that joined this battle would be utterly humiliated by these monks with the blood of Sanguiles.

But even a veteran who had served for over a hundred years couldn't withstand a single blow from Lancelot before being thrown away.

"One is no longer interesting. Come on, let's bring on the rest together."

Lancelot tapped his shield with his longsword, and at that moment, some skeptical veterans jumped out.

In a one-on-one fight, they realized they could no longer pose any threat to the elder before them.

But the Space Marines aren't exactly super-powerful individual weapons; they've always emphasized teamwork. Now the Elders have given them a chance. If they don't perform, the Chapter might lose face.

The four people immediately jumped out, and this time it was clear from their equipment that they were extremely well prepared.

A front-line tank clad in Terminator power armor, a gunman wielding a bomb gun, and two support characters with monomolecular swords providing random backup – a standard kill squad setup.

You should know that the number of Nurgles kicked to death by the Emperor's four commanders on the Star of Sorrow in a single day was about the same as the number of stray dogs on the street.

As the saying goes, two fists can't beat four hands, and four people have a total of eight hands. If they still lose with this kind of setup, then there really won't be many of the mourners who would have the face to step onto the stage.

Lancelot, too, seemed to become slightly more focused on this.

My combat score is 106 points. In a board game, that would be considered a hero unit with a name and a reputation. Usually, it would take an entire combat squad to match my score.

"Alright, let's begin!"

As usual, the gunners in the back row began to provide suppressive fire when the battle leader gave the order.

The moment the gunshots rang out, flames from the explosive guns danced, but at that very moment, the explosives exploded in the center of the training ground.

None of the shots hit Lancelot. Blades flashed from the exploding mist, and the gunman in charge of the attack looked terrified beneath his mask.

Because this only proves one thing.

Elder Lancelot, who had mostly been on the defensive, finally took the initiative to attack.

At that moment, he actually used his tungsten steel sword to detonate the supersonic bullet that was hurtling towards him!

The grieving spectators began to question their existence, while the four people on the field felt immense pressure! A smoke grenade suddenly exploded, instantly causing them to lose sight of Lancelot!

"Don't panic! Form a defensive formation! I'll show you the elder's position!"

A soldier standing at the back made a prayer gesture, and upon hearing his voice, the Terminator veteran's expression hardened, and he quickly stood guard beside him.

He recognized the voice – it was the Think Tank Master! Finally, a psionicist had joined the battle. Seeing the situation, had the Master finally stepped in to turn the tide?

Why wear ordinary power armor? Why not just appear openly as a think tank member?

That's what the Terminator veteran was thinking, but the next moment he understood why the think tank leader was doing this...

Boom!

The attack came crashing down, and the Terminator veteran reacted quickly enough to block the blow with his shield, but that was all; he didn't have time to retaliate.

He instinctively tried to swing his sword, but Lancelot had already flipped over, dropped his shield and longsword, climbed onto his armor, and then punched him squarely in the face!

Thankfully, he was wearing a helmet, and the Terminator system had a gravity stabilization device, otherwise he would probably have fallen to the ground at a 90-degree angle! Even such a powerful punch almost completely stunned this Terminator veteran!

However, having more people has its advantages. Two other soldiers quickly came to support, thus buying time!

So what are we delaying?

Lancelot looked up and saw the think tank raise his hand, the tungsten steel sword in his hand seemingly gathering psionic lightning. He looked at Lancelot in front of him, but Lancelot only glanced at him and then gave him a slight glare.

The inviolable territory has been established!

No one understood what had happened. The psionic lightning in the think tank's hand vanished in an instant, and he was frozen in place!

At that moment, Lancelot also sprang into action, grabbing a slingshot and charging relentlessly towards the group. The Astartes gunner's expression changed, but he still pulled the trigger.

Three explosions rang out, but just as he pulled the trigger, he noticed that Lancelot merely turned his head to look at him before raising the bomb gun in his hand.

Three bursts of fire erupted as the explosive projectiles he fired were simultaneously struck down by Lancelot's. The veteran could only helplessly watch as his own psionic intelligence unit was knocked unconscious with a single punch.

"Two left."

Lancelot turned his head and landed in the middle of them.

All the members of this squad were veterans of the first company, and their reaction time was several times that of the new recruits in Astartes. To their despair, they found that even with their reaction time, they could only see the signs of being knocked unconscious.

One was slapped across the face and spun like a top, while the other was shoved against the chest and sent flying five meters away, tumbling dozens of times on the ground like a tattered sack before finally stopping.

The entire process took no more than three seconds, so fast it was breathtaking.

The movements were clean and efficient.

The defeated veteran clutched his chest, coughing softly as he walked back to his side. No one in the arena laughed at him. After the dust settled on this battle, which ended in the same predictable way, the expressions on the faces of every elite soldier were like those of children reflecting on their sins. A heavy and tense atmosphere permeated the entire training dome.

That's all for today.

Lancelot uttered a sentence that brought a sigh of relief to Chapter Master Malakin, who was not far away.

Lancelot then put down his weapon and was in a much better mood.

Not only did the event go smoothly, but the mourners also stopped bothering me to tell them stories. It was a win-win situation, which was a good thing!
