Warhammer: My buddy has too many secrets!

Chapter 53, Part 1 of the Plan

Once the outsiders from the Inquisition had left the flagship of the Lamenters, Commander Malakin invited Commander Dante and the Blood Angels to a dark room to begin their actual talks.

"Malagin, I can sense that this feather is unusual."

Dante stated his insights and doubts directly: "The white feathers of Saint Geres are also offered in Baal, but none of them seem to carry the blessing of Saint Geres himself like this white feather."

As Dante spoke, his expression beneath his golden mask was extremely serious.

Lancelot may have underestimated the effects of his angel wings; with the death of Saint Geres, his power in the material universe had already begun to wane.

But now, the angel wings carrying the power of Saint Geres have appeared in the real universe, and can enjoy the blessing of people's worship of Saint Geres.

"Yes, Lord Dante, but I have more to tell you than that."

Chapter Master Malakin took a deep breath and began to recount how, after the Weeping Ones left the Warp, they encountered an elder who had existed since the Great Crusade.

He recounted the help the elder had given them, telling Dante that the feather of Saint Geres was merely a small gift he had given to the weeping ones, and that the elder had summoned Commander Dante because he had an even greater secret to tell him personally.

Upon hearing this, Commander Dante became serious and focused.

An elder who existed since the Great Crusade, belonging to the First Legion, carries a sacred relic that can stabilize the real universe, can readily produce equipment capable of arming an entire warband, and even possesses a white feather imbued with the blessing of Sanjeres…

Commander Dante had to take such an ancient being seriously, and immediately instructed Malakin to arrange a meeting between himself and the elder.

……

In a VIP room, Lancelot sat quietly, clearing his mind, waiting for Dante, the renowned Chapter Master of the Blood Angels.

Compared to himself, who claimed to have survived from the Great Crusade, Commander Dante had genuinely served the Empire for over 1000 years.

He rarely slept for long periods, always serving the Empire. Even some fearless monks had to show this chapter commander the utmost respect.

Therefore, Lancelot took his meeting with great seriousness.

He was already mentally reviewing the situation and figuring out how he should talk to the warband leader next.

As footsteps approached from the doorway, Lancelot caught sight of that golden face.

At this moment, Commander Dante also saw the elder whom the mourners respected so much. But he was stunned when he entered the room. On the way here, he had already begun to wonder what the elder looked like, but what appeared in front of him was a young Astartes.

Although the other person was unusually tall, he seemed... but seemed too young?

Dante thought so.

At that moment, Lancelot also saw the iconic golden mask of Saint Geres, the iconic mask of the commander Dante. It was a magnificent face, and even if the mask could only capture a part of his heroic spirit, it was enough to inspire awe.

Lancelot had seen the Primarch in another world, so seeing only this mask didn't elicit much of a reaction. He simply stood up and nodded, as Chapter Master Dante was sitting in front of him.

"Next, I will show you the Primarch's masterpiece."

Lancelot began his introduction in this way, and then, without any further suspense, in the room with only two chapter commanders, Lancelot took out the laurel wreath he had obtained in the Reversed World.

The laurel wreath of glory.

At this moment, even Chapter Master Dante couldn't help but pause for a second. In the room, the Chapter Master Malakin of the Lamenters, who had been standing to the side, also stared blankly at the crown in front of him.

It was so magnificent, so magnificent that it was almost breathtaking. A single feather from Saint Geres in the outside world was enough to make the Holy Blood Angels kneel down in prayer. And what was this thing placed in front of the two chapter leaders?

It was a pair of holy wings, as if miniature, gently fluttering around the golden laurel, as if they were alive, and seemed to sense the presence of their offspring, the feathers fluttering gently, bringing out a golden light.

The two are not creations of the same level at all. Moreover, what is most breathtaking and even awe-inspiring is this crown. Unlike the outer feather, which only faintly emits light in a shimmering manner, this crown is like a bright lamp in this VIP room.

Gazing at the laurel wreath, Dante felt his face burning like a branding iron. His genes screamed, his blood boiled, and something deep within his soul desperately and frantically tried to burst forth!

For over a thousand years, the nightmares that tormented him, those shackles, seemed to vanish in the face of this crown, just as the shackles on a prisoner were removed!

"What...what is this?!"

Commander Dante was completely oblivious to his loss of composure at that moment, and Lancelot didn't dwell on it any further.

"The laurel wreath crafted by Saint Gillespie himself."

Lancelot looked at Dante, the Chapter Master of the Holy Blood Angels, and said, "This contains records of the two Primarchs' healing achievements in treating Bloodthirst."

Lancelot explicitly stated the existence of the laurel wreath, yet he didn't reveal it, suggesting that the true secret of this laurel wreath comes from another universe.

But after Lancelot finished speaking, Dante could no longer sit still.

"What are you talking about?!"

Dante suddenly stood up.

But the very act of suppressing his emotions betrayed the shock he felt inside. He stared directly at Lancelot in front of him and even reached out to grab Lancelot's shoulder armor!

Lancelot snapped out of his reverie and met Dante's gaze calmly.

"This crown may contain the method to erase the genetic defects of the Blood Angels, Blood Thirst... the curse that has plagued the Blood Angels. It may contain the method to tell you how to completely cure it."

silence.

There was no sound in the VIP room.

Malakin stared blankly at everything before him, and Dante took a step forward at that moment, the sound of his armored footsteps like a thunderclap in the silence.

His hands clenched tightly, a gesture that seemed more like an attempt to control himself from making a more violent reaction.

Do you know what you're saying?

The genetic defect of the Blood Angels originates from a part of the Primarch's bloodline. For ten thousand years, countless sages, think tanks, and bio-sages of the Mechanicus have attempted to unravel this secret, but none have succeeded. And you possess the answer? And it's the result of the Primarch's own research?!

The crown that cures the bloodthirst curse...

"How is this possible?!"

"That's certainly possible, because it's part of the plan!"

Lancelot said without changing his expression.

Keeping secrets is difficult; how can one maintain a facade? Explaining is a waste of energy; it's better to emulate AlphaRice!

As long as I stubbornly insist that this is part of the plan, then it is part of the plan!
