Warhammer: My buddy has too many secrets!

Chapter 69, The Astartes: Please continue reading!

"Dorma M'mun, the Dark Dimension's demon god? Isn't that something that happens to Stephen Strange in the future?"

Lancelot was taken aback. This dimensional demon was one of the demons who coveted Earth and had always wanted to invade the real universe. He was the Sorcerer Supreme's number one enemy.

During the time of the Ancient One, the Sorcerer Supreme used the power of Vishanti and the Temple to fight it; while during the time of Stephen Strange, he used the Time Stone to go through eternal reincarnation. Because Dormammu transcended time, he eventually chose to leave Earth because he was tired of the endless cycle.

Why would the Ancient One send him to deal with Dormammu? Wasn't that redundant?

"Oh? You know Stephen Strange? But he hasn't been born yet."

"How can I help?"

"You can't defeat Dormammu on your own, but you can connect to the spiritual realm of that eternal god. That way, you only need to plan it out and let Dormammu enter the spiritual realm of the eternal god. The god will take care of the rest."

"That sounds a bit dangerous."

Lancelot offered his opinion upon hearing this, while the Ancient One shook her head:

"It's just a case of the fox borrowing the tiger's power. Dormammu's true body would never leave his dark dimension in person; at most, he would project some of his power over here."

"For the Eternal God, His domain is reality, space, time, and the laws themselves. Eternity will cleanse Dormammu's power, just like cleaning up a cross-dimensional piece of garbage."

"Even so, it's enough to scare that guy, and it seems we might not even need your help. I just glimpsed a possibility in time that could plunge the whole world into darkness... If Strange can't defeat Dormammu, then we'll need your help."

"Is it a deal? If so, I can consider letting you study in Kamar-Taj for a while, and maybe I can help you add some assistance to this vial of divine blood."

Lancelot thought for a moment, then nodded.

"Then I'll be bothering you for a while."

"Welcome to Kamar-Taj. I will investigate how to prevent the destructive power from burning you to ashes after you were injected with the blood of the gods."

The Ancient One smiled and said, "But first you have to take off this armor."

……

After negotiating with the Ancient One in London, Lancelot followed a portal opened by the Ancient One into Kamar-Taj in Nepal.

This is the sacred academy of Earth's magic.

The mages were somewhat surprised by the arrival of Lancelot, the steel giant. Because Lancelot was so tall, the mages of Kamar-Taj had to clear out a small warehouse for him to rest in. In the warehouse, Lancelot manually removed his armor, changed into a loose robe, and officially began his studies at Kamar-Taj.

Because of his good foundation, Lancelot learned many tricks to control spiritual power during his studies with the Lamenters' Institute.

When the mages learned that Lancelot was connected to the spiritual realm of the Eternal God, they provided him with more targeted instruction.

The first thing to do was to cram in the basics of magic, but the mage in charge of teaching Lancelot soon discovered that the giant in front of him was too cautious in the use of power, but his learning speed was much, much faster than that of ordinary people!

Moreover, people gradually discovered that this giant was not a mage at all, but more like a warrior.

The wizards of Kamar-Taj were quite curious about Lancelot, who was named after the once perfect knight. Besides being a perfect knight and having legends with King Arthur, Lancelot's most remarkable feat was perhaps his unparalleled martial prowess.

Lancelot offered a lot of advice, especially on combat training between mages. As a result, the Ancient One took the opportunity to appoint Lancelot as the martial arts instructor to teach the mages.

clap clap clap!

On the training ground.

Lancelot single-handedly engaged in a martial arts practice with the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj.

It only took a few minutes.

More than a dozen young mages were sent flying.

Lancelot picked up the magical equipment they were wearing and glanced at it. One of the sticks could be transformed into a whip to strike enemies; it was called the Scepter of the Living Tribunal.

Although the weapons in Kamar-Taj look similar to those in Wakanda, and the magical equipment still resembles cold weapons like swords, spears, and halberds, the mages are not like those primitive people who have advanced technology but still fight with primitive spears.

Most of the mages' weapons have special attack attributes.

These are tools designed for the magical realm. Some spells are difficult for ordinary people to control, so mages in the past solidified them and sealed them within a tool, which could then be used to specifically target magical creatures...

Unfortunately, the battles between mages were still too primitive.

"Conceal your intentions to attack, and don't let your enemies see through your actions so easily."

Despite his seemingly tall stature, Lancelot was exceptionally agile, teaching as he spoke.

He deftly dodged a mage's attack by sidestepping, while the other mages unleashed golden chains upon Lancelot, seemingly binding him completely.

But Lancelot had already hidden small stones in his palm, which he flicked out gently, and the stones struck the foreheads of the mages with astonishing speed.

Lancelot broke free of the originally sturdy chains.

Lancelot tossed the pebble in his hand slightly at that moment: "Be careful of outside technology. I think mages could go out and acquire firearms, such as submachine guns."

"That's so disrespectful to tradition!"

One of the mages, who had been easily knocked away, said this indignantly. Lancelot, upon hearing this, was not too angry and simply replied casually:

"It would be a good thing if tradition and change went hand in hand. I was just offering my suggestion, which can be used as a reference only."

As he spoke, Lancelot helped up the mages he had defeated and then began explaining combat techniques to them.

Some mages still disagreed with Lancelot's ideas, but without a doubt, everyone acknowledged the giant's strength.

Furthermore, there are reformists among mages themselves, and Lancelot's existence clearly provided them with great inspiration.

brush brush...

About five days passed, and the basic magical knowledge had been taught. The Space Marines' memory abilities far surpassed those of ordinary people, and Lancelot began to access the vast number of books in Kamar-Taj.

As he was about to leave, Lancelot only wanted to memorize as much valuable knowledge as possible.

Kamar-Taj's knowledge is open to all mages, but Lancelot would feel a little embarrassed if he continued to exploit this knowledge for free.

So Lancelot decided to donate a book to the Kamar-Taj Library, a classic work that Lancelot had read when he was bored and that he had memorized from the memories of the Space Marines.

The Astartes!

This holy book is the core military code formulated by Guilliman, the Primarch of the Ultramarines, after the Horus Rebellion, to reorganize the Astartes and prevent the concentration of power in one's hands.

Although it has always been jokingly referred to as toilet paper by fans, what the original author wrote is by no means ordinary.

It not only standardized the organization, tactics and equipment of battle groups, but also promoted the second establishment of the army, and is the foundation and cornerstone of the Imperial Astartes Order.

More importantly, Guilliman, with his genius, recorded various exemplary tactics in it.

From standard tactics to planetary assault, trench warfare, vehicle coordination, reconnaissance and ambush systems... every imaginable means of warfare is included!

Lancelot planned to give the holy book to Zola so that he could use it to build his army, and he also planned to deposit a copy of the holy book at Kamar-Taj.

After examining the holy book, the librarian looked at Lancelot with slight surprise.

"What an ambitious guy!"

This was the first thought that popped into the minds of later mages after they came across this holy book! This thing was less a magic spell and more a guide to conquering the universe!

This thing wasn't just left to gather dust in the library. Later, in order to defend against the invasion of cosmic enemies, a Sorcerer Supreme activated the Codex Astartes and formed a mage warband according to the methods recorded in the Codex...

Of course, that's all in the future.

Now, importantly, on the sixth day before his departure, the Ancient One also brought good news!
