Anger surged within the Lord of Alteramar, and he clenched his fists to restrain himself.

He could hardly contain his inner turmoil. His restless nature made him fantasize about smashing tables and chairs and tearing up flags like a mad beast, unleashing his fury on everything in the room!

But he dared not.

Otherwise, the completely unfamiliar faces in his battle group would see through his disguise and see the despair hidden in his heart.

Those descendants who so carefully laid out the glorious deeds of the Warband's Glory over the past ten thousand years before him, like children waiting for praise, would face the same despair as him.

As their genetic father, Guilliman would not tolerate such irresponsible behavior. So, although despair had almost overwhelmed him, he could not show it to the outside world.

Calgar—and all the Ultramarines—looked at his self-beam with such fervor and trust, as if they were looking at the Emperor himself.

Thus, Guilliman painfully realized that he had become the last remaining banner, and that humanity had entered a dark and hopeless era.

His only option was to always demonstrate unwavering strength so as not to let his own despair infect everyone's hearts.

"However, none of this matters at all."

He sighed, then looked away from the battle flag. Through the stained glass window, he could no longer contain his anger. He strode forward and stared at the portrait of the emperor with a accusatory gaze.

"Why am I still alive?!"

He roared, "What else do you want from me? I've given you everything, given them everything; look what they've done to our dreams!"

"On the bloated, corrupt remains of the empire, not a trace of reason or hope can be seen, only fear..."

Hatred and ignorance clung to this zombie until it was still alive!

"Even if we all perish in the flames of Horus's ambition, it's better than living to witness it all!"

The Primarch's words still echoed in the room, but even Guilliman himself could sense a hint of insincerity in them.

Lancelot quietly observed everything before him.

At this moment, Lancelot, hiding in the shadows, didn't say much. He just looked at Guilliman in front of him, looking at his most authentic self.

Yes, Guilliman was in great pain and despair.

But the root of this suffering lies in the fact that Guilliman was an absolute idealist.

Even among his brothers, none of them envisioned a bright future with such hope as he had, a future not only for humanity but also for all of Astartes.

The flame of hope once surged within the Primarch's body, and even now, the impenetrable darkness and suffering could not extinguish this light within him!

Lancelot watched him silently from the shadows, watching as the Ultramariner's fighting spirit was finally rekindled.

"Hope remains."

He said to himself.

Primarch turned and walked to the window. He stretched out a hand and touched the stained glass through his gauntlet. Guilliman's gaze passed through the window. The people of Macragge were no different from ten thousand years ago. The young children were training and lining up enthusiastically, while his offspring, the Ultramarines, stood guard on the city walls with pride and honor.

They are children of this dark age, whose lives have seen nothing but hardship, suffering, and endless conflict. Nevertheless, they fight on relentlessly, undeterred by the surrounding enemies.

Guilliman, on the other hand, was fortunate to be born in a better era, a golden age filled with hope and triumph.

He is one of the emperor's extraordinary sons, what right does he have to wallow in self-pity? Facing these followers who were born in darkness but whose courage and strength have never diminished, how indulgent and willful it would be to show weakness and helplessness?

Guilliman had witnessed firsthand the boundless potential of humankind, and now, there was still hope for a more glorious tomorrow, and for the empire to rise from the ashes.

But as long as those enemies who bring pain and suffering to mankind continue to ravage, all of this is impossible, and therefore they must be defeated!

"All these tragedies!"

Guilliman cried out bitterly, "All this suffering and pain should not be humanity's fate! Humanity has done nothing wrong; the culprits are those traitors who have turned their backs on their own race!"

"For far too long, the descendants of Chaos have been toying with humanity's fate, and I will not allow it to continue!"

The sound echoed through the house, and Lancelot knew it was time for him to appear.

dong dong dong.

Lancelot sneaked back to the main gate and officially knocked on the door of the Lord of Macragge.

"Who?"

Guilliman's voice came from inside, regaining his previous mature and composed demeanor. Lancelot announced his name, and after receiving Guilliman's permission, he pushed open the door and looked at Guilliman, who had returned to his usual calm and strategic manner.

"So, are you ready, Guilliman?"

"If it's about setting off for Terra, I'm all ready, Lord Lancelot."

The Primarch addressed Lancelot with a very affectionate title, and he naturally spoke with the Imperial Guard as well. He realized that this Lancelot was no ordinary Astartes; he might be acquainted with the Emperor and possessed the power to traverse galaxies almost instantly.

The Primarch had always wanted to have a formal conversation with Lancelot in person regarding such an ancient being.

Lancelot had been declining the Primarch's request, citing that it wasn't the right time yet, but now, Lancelot believed that Guilliman was ready.

However, the preparations Lancelot mentioned were not the preparations for going to Terra that the Primarch intended.

"I'm sorry, Guilliman, what I mean by 'being prepared' is not as simple as going to Terra Palace."

Lancelot looked the Primarch up and down. After sensing that the Emperor's blood had completely healed him, Lancelot nodded in agreement and said, "We need to go to a more distant place."

"I'm going to take you to support your brothers and sisters."

Lancelot spoke calmly.

He was preparing to take Guilliman to the Reverse World.

In that place, Anglona's homeworld is being coveted by four evil gods.

Looking back now, since my transmigration caused the commotion, that place has withstood the attack of the evil god for several months.

Lancelot said he would bring hope, and now it's time to fulfill that promise.

Guilliman finally recovered, and after conversing with his sons and learning about the state of the empire, he remained sane.

The time has finally come.

It's time for me to take Guilliman with me and go support the loyal Primarch in another world!

"Save my brother?! Lord Lancelot, you know one of my brothers is still alive?! How is the situation on his end?!"

Guilliman had thought he was able to face this mysterious figure with enough composure, but when Lancelot spoke, the Primarch still momentarily lost his composure.

Since waking up, Guilliman has longed to have a brother by his side.

They could talk freely, and perhaps only they could understand his feelings at that moment.

Now, upon learning from Lancelot that one of his brothers needed help, Guilliman naturally found it difficult to contain his emotions!

So much so that he even overlooked the fact that Lancelot had said "brothers and sisters"!
