Chapter 100 The Gluttony Fruit and the Door-Door Fruit (Seeking monthly votes)

It seems that a leader's subordinates reflect the leader's character.

Just as Matthew had expected, after Nig used the Memory Fruit to read Dickon's memories, Reicher immediately developed a strong interest in the vampires.

This extraordinary race, with its long history, has accumulated immense wealth over countless years.

The combined resources are so vast that they could enable any powerful nation to achieve several leaps in development.

This isn't just about collectibles, coins, and gold; it also includes shares in giant corporations across various sectors.

Although Rachel was not a person who completely worshipped the human race.

But I have absolutely no liking for vampires.

In his view, those who do not participate in the construction and make contributions are no different from those who hold power and benefit from the status quo.

The latter, however, is about squeezing people's wealth, labor value, and freedom dry.

The former not only squeezes out the value of labor, but also physically drains people.

Vampires rely on their strength, and their necessities for survival are not human food, but blood.

Human blood.

Therefore, human trafficking is part of many vampire businesses. They control this massive smuggling network, scouring the world for people who are trafficked in various forms.

Especially girls, virgins.

The highest-ranking, royal vampires enjoy the highest quality, youngest virgins.

The enjoyment of life is generally average for those in the middle and lower classes.

The number of purebred vampires is not very large, but if you include hybrids, vampire servants, etc., the total number is enormous.

There are at least tens of millions of them worldwide.

They were not exposed or discovered simply because they hid themselves well, integrated into society, and occupied an upper position.

In this respect, mutants are far inferior.

It's not just a historical issue; vampires also have a significant advantage.

life!

Aside from their own long lifespan, they can also transform other humans into vampires, granting them the same long lifespan.

This is a temptation that many powerful people and wealthy businessmen cannot resist.

So what if you're afraid of sunlight and have to feed on blood? Compared to a healthy body, what is a long life?

As a result, vampires have taken root and thrived in various countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and continental Europe.

As long as the population size does not increase, it can be controlled.

Those in power wouldn't see vampires as a threat. After all, it's just a bunch of lowly people being persecuted, so what does it have to do with them?

Sacrificing a tiny fraction of the lower classes to ensure their own longevity is a very worthwhile trade-off in the eyes of the men.

Therefore, it is impossible for anyone to eliminate the vampire race.

Through Deacon's memories, Reicher, Nigley, Natasha, and others immediately analyzed the core reasons from a broader perspective.

Given the commoner nature of Lei Che and his friends who were born into poverty, what else is there to say?

In their eyes, ten thousand lords were not worth as much as an innocent commoner.

I didn't know before, and even if I did, I didn't have the ability.

Now that he knows he has this ability, and that it has considerable value, Lei Che's little brain starts working.

For Reich and his companions, this world had long since rotted away.

The distribution of benefits is unreasonable, with 99% of the poor at the bottom supporting the 1%, and this trend is getting bigger and bigger over time. So why not just smash it up and rebuild the order?

However, this idea is still in its infancy and the time is not yet right.

Lei Che and his group had already reached a tacit understanding and formed a shared vision.

There's no rush. It will take time to truly rebuild order.

They also need more development.

Matthew was unaware that his subordinates had gone so far as to try to drape him in a yellow robe. After much deliberation, he activated three Devil Fruits from the Devil Fruit encyclopedia.

One is the Swallow Fruit, one is the Door Fruit, and one is the Heal Fruit.

These three fruits were lit by the three demon souls of the Feng Shui land summoned by the slain Witchheart Demon.

The quality of the three demon souls is not very high.

Since the top-tier Devil Fruits couldn't be activated, he selected these three from among the Devil Fruits that could be activated, considering them to be the most practical and cost-effective.

The Gluttony Fruit, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit.

The original user was the king of the Drum Kingdom.

His "Hunter Doctor" policy led to the decline of his country, and he was later defeated by Straw Hat Luffy and went into exile.

During his exile, he created shape memory alloy corrugated metal by consuming garbage, which Franky also used to create General Franky.

Wapol became wealthy through his alloy patent and rebuilt the Dark Drum Kingdom, eventually gaining the recognition of the world's nobles and restoring his throne.

The Gluttony Fruit has the ability to absorb the powers of other Devil Fruit users, a power that was even coveted by Blackbeard Teach.

Matthew didn't value these abilities; what he valued was that the Swallowman could synthesize new things by eating metal, such as combining scrap steel into a new alloy that didn't exist before.

This thing is really weird.

It's simply a treasure of the materials science world, driving all materials scientists crazy. You could say that if you consumed this stuff, physics would cease to exist.

For soldiers, the practical use of this fruit is far less significant than its material science aspects.

If top materials scientists could consume it, they could probably use it to create a whole bunch of rare metals, like Adamantium alloys and Vibranium.

Precious metals are plentiful in the universe, such as the metal of the gods, Uru metal. If you can memorize the properties of something after consuming it and synthesize it with other metals, that would be true wealth.

Odin's Spear of Eternity, Stormbreaker, Destroyer Armor, and many other great items were all made from this metal.

It is truly significant.

Compared to the Gluttony Fruit, the Door-Door Fruit is also quite practical.

It can open doors anywhere to freely enter and exit, including in the air, on flames, and on people, etc.

No matter how hard or intangible the place is, such as fire or air, a door can be created.

It can create doors of different kinds, sizes, and shapes according to the user's wishes, such as sliding doors, push doors, or even revolving doors. The user can also become a door themselves.

The essence of this fruit lies in its ability to move freely in space.

Simply opening a door in the atmosphere can create a green, otherworldly space.

Besides those with special abilities, people can also enter this alternate dimension to move around, and the space itself can also serve as a place for emergency refuge.

Once the created door is closed, the part that was originally open will return to its original state without leaving any trace.

If it can be combined with magic, it can be developed into something incredibly versatile.

It provides a very high combat bonus and has significant strategic value.

A completely new dimensional space, untouchable, unharmable, and boundless. If, after testing, this thing can still be used despite the magic that interferes with the space, then its strategic significance can be infinitely increased.
