Martial Arts Secret Realm: Only I Can Know the Plot?
Chapter 77: Blood Saber Ancestor
Wang Xiaofeng lay on the ground, crying out, "Cousin, cousin!" He watched helplessly as his cousin was kidnapped by two lewd monks, the consequences of which were unimaginable. However, his whole body was weak and he could not move an inch no matter how hard he tried.
But then the constables started shouting: "Arrest the lewd monk!" "The evil monk with the blood-slaying knife has escaped!" "He resisted arrest and injured someone!"
Di Yun, on horseback, swayed and nearly fell off. He instinctively reached out and grabbed something soft and yielding. Looking down, he saw that he had grabbed Shui Sheng's back and waist.
Shui Sheng was shocked and cried out, "Evil monk, let go!" Di Yun was also startled and quickly released his grip, grabbing the saddle instead. But since he was sitting behind Shui Sheng, their bodies couldn't avoid touching. Shui Sheng kept shouting, "Let me go, let me go!" The old monk, annoyed, reached out and pressed her acupoint to silence her, rendering her speechless.
The old monk, riding on the back of the yellow horse, kept looking at Shui Sheng's figure and appearance, praising her with tsk-tsk: "Very beautiful, very good! This old monk is quite lucky with women." Although Shui Sheng's mouth was mute, her ears were not deaf. She was so frightened that she almost fainted.
The old monk rode his horse westward, choosing only the most desolate and remote places. After traveling for a while, he found the sound of the bells on his two mounts too jarring, jingling and clanging, clearly attracting attention. He immediately reached out and plucked off the gold and silver bells one by one. These bells were tied to the horses' necks with gold and silver threads; he easily pulled one off, and when he put it in his pocket, each bell was already flattened into a small piece.
The old monk didn't let the horses rest. As evening approached, they reached a cliff on a hillside by the river. Seeing the desolate terrain, with no travelers or houses around, he lifted Di Yun off the horse and placed her on the ground. He then lifted Shui Sheng off as well, led the two horses to a large tree, and tied them to it. He looked Shui Sheng up and down for a moment, then said with a grin, "Excellent! This old monk is quite fortunate!" Only then did he sit cross-legged, close his eyes, and begin practicing his internal energy while facing the river.
Di Yun sat opposite him, his thoughts churning: "Today's encounter was truly bizarre. Two good men wanted to kill me, but this old monk came to my rescue. This monk is clearly in league with Bao Xiang; he's definitely not a good person. What if he tries to assault this girl?"
As darkness fell, the sound of the wind rustling through the pines and the chirping of night birds filled the air. Looking up, he caught sight of the old monk's face, which resembled that of a zombie. His heart pounded. Turning his head, he saw a corner of a white robe peeking out from the grass—it was Shui Sheng lying there. He wanted to ask the old monk several times, but seeing his solemn expression and diligent practice, he dared not disturb him.
After a long while, the old monk suddenly stood up slowly, his left foot raised with the sole of his foot pointing to the sky, his right foot on the ground, and his arms outstretched towards the rising moon in the mountain hollow.
Di Yun thought to himself, "Where have I seen this posture before? Ah, that's it! This strange image is depicted in Shengdi's booklet." He saw the old monk standing on one leg, as still as a stone statue, without the slightest sway or tremor.
After a while, with a whoosh, the old monk suddenly leaped up, turned around and landed, bracing himself with his hands on the ground, then placed his head on the ground, stretched his arms to the left and right, and stood upright with his feet together, pointing towards the sky.
Di Yun found it interesting, took out the booklet from his bosom, flipped to a picture, and looked at it in the moonlight. Sure enough, it was exactly the same as the old monk's current posture. He realized in his heart: "This must be their sect's method of practicing martial arts."
Seeing that the Blood Saber Ancestor was practicing his skills, Di Yun wanted to escape with Shui Sheng.
As soon as he moved, the pain in his broken leg became unbearable (it had been trampled by Wang Xiaofeng's horse earlier), so he had to put all his weight on his hands and slowly crawl into the grass. Fortunately, the old monk was indeed unaware. Looking down, he saw that the moonlight was shining directly on Shui Sheng's face. Her big, round eyes were wide open, and her expression was one of extreme fear.
Fearing to disturb the old monk, Di Yun dared not speak, but instead made a gesture to indicate that he would come to the rescue.
As a result, Shui Sheng misunderstood. She thought Di Yun was going to rape her, and her big, bright eyes were filled with fear.
He immediately cried out, "You villain, let me go! Don't touch me, let me go!"
Well, that shout immediately summoned Blood Blade Ancestor.
Blood Saber Ancestor opened his eyes and saw the two of them rolling around in a heap. He then heard Shui Sheng shout, "Evil monk, quickly kill the girl with one stroke and let me go!"
The old monk laughed loudly and said, "You little rascal, what's your hurry? Do you want to steal your master's daughter first?" He stepped forward, grabbed Di Yun's vest, lifted him up, walked a few steps away, and then put him down.
He looked Di Yun up and down for a few seconds and laughed, "Very good, very good! I like bold and womanizing young men like you. You have a broken leg, yet you are not afraid of pain and still want women. Wonderful, wonderful, you have guts! You are just my type."
Di Yun was truly at a loss for words, both amused and exasperated by their misunderstanding. He thought to himself, "If I reveal the truth, this evil monk will kill me with a single blow. I have no choice but to stall for time and find a way to escape while rescuing this girl."
The old monk said, "You are Shengdi's newly accepted disciple, aren't you?" Before Di Yun could answer, he grinned and said, "Shengdi must like you very much. He even bestowed his Blood Saber Monk Robe upon you. Did he pass on his 'Blood Saber Manual' to you?"
Di Yun wondered, "What is the Blood Saber Manual?" Trembling, he reached into his robes and took out the yellow paper book that Sheng Di always kept close to his body.
The old monk took it, flipped through it, and returned it to him, patting his head lightly and saying, "Very good, very good! What's your name?" Di Yun replied, "My name is Di Yun."
Di Yun openly revealed his real name without any attempt to conceal it.
Throughout his life in the martial arts world, he was never very clever.
Even someone as simple and honest as Zhang Wuji would at least know to use Zeng Aniu when traveling the martial world, but Di Yun, knowing full well that the woman beside him came from an extraordinary family and might be purged in the future, still revealed his real name.
The old monk said, "Very good, very good! Did your master teach you the method of practicing martial arts?" Di Yun replied, "No."
The old monk said, "Hmm, it's alright. Where did your master go?" How could Di Yun dare to say that Sheng Di wasn't his master, and that he was already dead?
He could only make up a story on the spot: "He...he was on a boat on the river."
The old monk asked, "Did your master tell you your grandmaster's Dharma name?" Di Yun replied, "No." The old monk said, "My Dharma name is 'Blood Blade Ancestor'."
You little rascal, you're so lovable. With your great-grandfather by your side, I guarantee you'll enjoy endless blessings; you can have any beautiful woman in the world you desire."
Di Yun thought to himself, "So he's Sheng Di's master." He asked, "They called you...they called us 'Blood Blade Evil Monks,' so your...your grandmaster is the leader of our sect?"
Blood Blade Ancestor laughed, "Hehe, that bastard Shengdi is really tight-lipped. He won't even tell his beloved disciple about his family background."
"Our sect is a branch of the Qinghai Black Cult, called the Blood Blade Sect. Your founder was the fourth leader of this sect. If you study hard, the sixth leader might just fall into your lap. Hmm, your leg is broken, but it's alright, I'll heal it for you."
