Martial Arts Secret Realm: Only I Can Know the Plot?
Chapter 92: Another Misunderstanding
Shui Sheng looked at him, her eyes filled with wariness and fear. Di Yun put his index finger to his lips, making a shushing gesture, and then began to untie the ropes binding her.
The rope was tied very tightly, the kind of knot specifically designed to bind people, and it only got tighter the more you struggled.
Di Yun's fingers were frozen stiff, and it took him a long time to untie one knot. Sweat beaded on his forehead, not from the heat, but from nervousness.
As Shui Sheng watched his actions, her eyes gradually shifted from fear to confusion.
She didn't understand why this lewd little monk from the Blood Blade Sect would save her.
She recalled what had happened these past few days—this man had grabbed her waist on horseback, but he hadn't made any further moves; when the Blood Blade Ancestor was about to kill her, this man stood in front of her; when the Blood Blade Ancestor was feeding her medicine, this man snatched it and drank it himself.
He is not a bad person.
Shui Sheng was startled when this thought suddenly popped into her head.
Di Yun finally untied the last knot. The rope slipped off Shui Sheng, and she went limp, almost falling. Di Yun caught her and pulled the rag out of her mouth.
Shui Sheng gasped for breath, tears welling up in her eyes.
"Hurry up." Di Yun lowered his voice and pointed to the entrance of the ice cave. "Go up from there and run south. Your father and the others should be over there."
Shui Sheng wiped away her tears and was about to stand up when she suddenly saw the human head in the corner. Her body froze.
That was Liu Chengfeng's head. She knew Liu Chengfeng; she had even called him Uncle Liu when she was little.
"Where is my father?" Her voice trembled.
Di Yun remained silent.
"Where's my father?!" Shui Sheng's voice suddenly became shrill.
"Shh—" Di Yun covered her mouth and glanced back at the Blood Saber Ancestor. The Blood Saber Ancestor rolled over, but didn't wake up.
"Your father..." Di Yun didn't know how to say it. He hesitated for a moment, then told the truth, "Your father came too, but he was injured by that old monk."
"How badly are you injured?"
Di Yun didn't answer. He didn't know how badly Shui Dai was injured, but he knew that when the Blood Saber Ancestor returned, he only had Liu Chengfeng's head. Shui Dai should still be alive, but—
"You go first," Di Yun said. "Once you're out, run south, find your father, and have him take you away. Don't look back."
Shui Sheng looked at him, tears streaming down her face.
"Why...why did you save me?"
Di Yun paused for a moment, then shook his head: "An older brother once told me that good people shouldn't end up like this."
"I think you seem like a good person."
Shui Sheng bit her lip, stood up, and walked towards the entrance of the ice cave. After taking a few steps, she suddenly stopped and looked back at Di Yun.
"What's your name?"
"Di Yun".
Shui Sheng nodded and was about to climb up when she suddenly stopped. Her body began to tremble, not from the cold, but because she was thinking about something—was her father really alive?
How could Di Yun's well-intentioned lie possibly deceive Shui Sheng?
Blood Blade Ancestor has returned, carrying Uncle Liu's head with him.
His father and Uncle Lu were brothers who shared life and death with Uncle Liu.
There was absolutely no way they could stand by and watch Blood Blade Ancestor take their brother's head.
But Blood Blade Ancestor still returned with a head.
And her father...
The tears in her eyes finally burst forth, frozen on her face by the biting cold wind.
Shui Sheng stood there, trembling all over. She turned around and looked at Di Yun, her eyes filled with something indescribable—not gratitude, not hatred, but despair.
"Do you have a knife on you?" she asked.
Di Yun was taken aback: "What?"
"Knife. Sword. Anything will do."
Di Yun subconsciously touched his waist—nothing there. His weapon had long been taken away by the Blood Saber Ancestor.
Shui Sheng gritted her teeth, suddenly squatted down, picked up a sharp ice pick, and pointed it at her throat.
"What are you doing?!" Di Yun was startled and rushed over to grab her hand.
"Let me go!" Shui Sheng struggled. "Let me die!"
"Are you crazy?" Di Yun gripped her hand tightly, the sharp icicles already piercing her skin, blood seeping out. "Your father is still waiting for you outside. How will he live if you die?"
"My father..." Shui Sheng's tears welled up instantly, "My father is dead... You don't need to lie to me anymore, Uncle Lu and Uncle Liu are dead too... They're all dead... What's the point of me living..."
"Even if they all die, you must live!" Di Yun's voice suddenly rose. "Only by living is there hope! If you die, you have nothing!"
Shui Sheng was stunned.
She looked at Di Yun, at his honest, not particularly handsome face, and at the earnest, persistent light in his eyes.
But thinking that if she lived, she might suffer endless humiliation from that lecherous monk, she still prepared to take action again.
Di Yun breathed a sigh of relief and was about to say something when a hoarse voice suddenly came from behind him.
"What's all the noise about in the middle of the night?"
Di Yun's body stiffened.
Blood Blade Ancestor sat up, rubbed his eyes, and looked at Di Yun and Shui Sheng. His gaze gradually cleared from a daze, and then became sharp.
"You little brat, what are you doing?"
Di Yun opened his mouth, but couldn't say a word.
Blood Blade Ancestor looked at the untied ropes, then at the faint bloodstain on Shui Sheng's neck, and suddenly smiled.
"Oh—the old monk understands."
He stood up, walked up to Di Yun, and looked down at him.
Suddenly, a strange smile appeared on his face.
"You little rascal, the old monk thought you were honest and kind, but I didn't expect you to have so many tricks up your sleeve and be so bold."
Di Yun was taken aback: "What?"
"You little brat, trying to get the first taste?"
"In this freezing weather, you untied her ropes just to sleep with her, didn't you?" Blood Blade Ancestor shook his head.
"This little vixen has quite the fiery temper."
"But the old monk was like that when he was young too. If he saw a girl he liked, he would sleep with her no matter what. The old monk liked that kind of drive."
He patted Di Yun on the shoulder: "Alright, stop sneaking around. The old monk will acupuncture his pressure points later, and then teach you a few secret dual cultivation techniques."
"Who knows, you might even make this little vixen fall in love with you."
Di Yun was stunned. Shui Sheng was also stunned.
"What...what did you say?" Di Yun thought he had misheard.
"It's yours for the taking," Blood Blade Ancestor repeated. "You can sleep if you want, play if you want. But this old monk has something to say first—"
He stopped smiling, and his eyes turned cold.
"Playing around is fine. But once the food runs out, this girl won't survive. Don't try to fool the old monk then; he won't fall for that."
Di Yun opened his mouth as if to say something, but the Blood Blade Ancestor had already turned around, sat back down beside the fire, and closed his eyes.
Shui Sheng felt a chill run through her body.
Di Yun stood there, looking at the back of the Blood Blade Ancestor, and then at Shui Sheng.
