Evolving by devouring from a young dragon

Just as Leon's fist was about to strike Alduin's face, a huge stone shadow descended from the sky.

"boom--"

The rocks exploded, and dust flew everywhere.

Blue crossed his arms in front of Alduin, taking the full force of Leon's punch.

The grayish-red force of the rock-cracking energy shattered on Blue's stone arm, leaving a dent the size of a millstone, with rubble and stone chips flying in all directions.

But Bru's body only swayed slightly, the stone slab beneath his feet caved in, but he did not take a single step back.

Leon was thrown back by the force of the recoil, tumbling twice in the air before landing on the ruins ten meters away.

He looked down at his right fist and saw that the web between his thumb and forefinger was split open, and dark red blood was slowly dripping from between his fingers.

"Stone Giant?" Leon looked up at Blue, a hint of surprise flashing in his orange-yellow pupils.

Blue retracted his crossed arms, glanced down at the dent in his chest, and when he looked up at Leon, his honest face remained expressionless.

His voice was deep but very steady: "Boss, are you alright?"

Auduin glanced at the dent in Blue's chest, then at Leon's still-bleeding right fist, and let out a cold laugh:

"You used your Rock-Splitting Power to smash rocks? The Rock-Splitting Emblem is meant to shatter mountains and break rocks, but your punch couldn't even shake a stone giant. Not only have you failed to understand the power of the emblem, you've also forgotten the original power of the Rock-Splitting Emblem."

Leon's face darkened.

He clenched his right fist, the rock fragments burning hot in his chest, and a grayish-red light emanating from the gaps in his armor, but he did not make another move.

Auduin took the opportunity to repair his injuries, and his wounds healed quickly. At the same time, he used his sonic perception to scan Blue's entire body and breathed a sigh of relief after finding that he was unharmed.

It seems that the snake core of the Ig Serpent has improved Blue's abilities far beyond his expectations.

"A stone giant dares to block my way." Leon's voice was low and filled with obvious anger.

He retracted his right fist, opened his left hand, and the Rock Emblem slowly rotated in his palm. The earthen-yellow light began to condense, clearly indicating that he was going to fully unleash the suppressive power of the Rock Emblem to crush Blue and Alduin together.

Auduin sensed something was wrong.

The earthen-yellow light of the Rock Emblem was several times more intense than before, and the entire altar trembled violently, with rubble flying into the air. He immediately spread his dragon wings, preparing to retreat, but Blue stood still, motionless.

"Bruce, back off!" Alduin shouted sternly.

Blue did not retreat.

He looked down at his chest, where dark gold patterns were flashing wildly, at the same frequency as the rock emblem in Leon's hand.

A powerful suction force surged from Blue's body, like a vortex.

Leon's pupils suddenly contracted.

He sensed that the Rock Emblem was out of control, its power was uncontrollable, and it was being drawn in.

The stone hilt throbbed violently in his palm, like a wild beast chained to its feet, desperately trying to break free.

He grasped the emblem with both hands, the icy blue light of the crystal emblem covering the surface of the rock emblem, attempting to freeze its trembling, but the ice layer was immediately shattered by the earthy yellow light as soon as it was applied.

"Impossible!" For the first time, Leon's voice was filled with panic.

Blue slowly raised his head, his honest face still expressionless, but his eyes, made of yellowish-brown rock, were shining brightly.

The power of the Rock Emblem resonated with his core; the two earthly forces of the same origin attracted and called to each other.

The Rock Emblem struggled more and more violently in Leon's hands, its earthen-yellow light spreading outwards in waves, causing the entire altar to shake.

Auduin's vertical pupils narrowed slightly.

Blue is just an ordinary stone giant, yet he can resonate with the Rock Emblem in such a way, which is enough to show that his identity is far more complex than it appears...

Leon instantly understood what was going on.

He looked up at Blue, his orange-yellow pupils surging with killing intent, but deep within that killing intent, there was a hint of unease and fear.

He must not lose the Rock Emblem.

Without the defense of the Rock Emblem, the ice seal of the Crystal Rock Emblem alone is not enough to hold the line, and the primal power of the Rock Shards is not enough to support his offensive. Facing Alduin's Barren Rock Emblem, he will only be worn down to death.

Moreover, his long-planned scheme will now be shattered.

"You stubborn rock." Leon gritted his teeth, gripping the rock emblem tightly with both hands. The icy blue light of the crystal emblem and the gray-red light of the cracked rock fragments were simultaneously injected into the emblem, forcibly suppressing its tremors.

The combined power of the three emblems finally weakened the pulsation of the Rock Emblem, but the ochre pattern on Blue's chest continued to flicker, and the resonance was not gone, only temporarily suppressed.

Leon knew he couldn't delay any longer.

He glanced at Alduin, then at Blue, a hint of resentment flashing in his orange-yellow eyes, but there was nothing he could do.

"You're lucky to be alive today," Leon said coldly.

He loosened the rock emblem, clenched his fists, and a surge of spatial magic power erupted from his body.

Silver-white cracks appeared in the air, like a mirror being shattered. The cracks spread outwards, tearing a two-meter-high spatial rift in front of him.

On the other side of the crevice was a grayish-white snowstorm, making it impossible to see what place it was.

Alduin's dragon wings suddenly unfurled, his figure transforming into a dark golden afterimage as he pounced directly towards Leon.

The dragon claw pierced towards Leon's nape, but Leon's body had already disappeared into the crevice, leaving only half of his tail sticking out.

The dragon claws gripped the tip of its tail tightly, and with a forceful tug, dark red blood seeped from between the claws.

Leon grunted, and a burst of crystalline blue light exploded from his tail, instantly freezing Alduin's right claw. With his right claw frozen and unable to exert any force, Leon seized the opportunity to pull back his tail and completely disappeared into the spatial rift.

The silvery-white rift closed, the spatial magic fluctuations dissipated, and the altar returned to its deathly silence.

Alduin stood where the rift disappeared, the ice on his right claw shattered, and ice shards scattered all over the ground.

He looked up at the crack in the dome, from which wind and snow poured in, and the gray-white sky was faintly visible through the crack.

Leon escaped, and thanks to his spatial magic, he couldn't catch up.

Blue walked over and stood beside Alduin. The tan markings on his chest had returned to calm and were no longer flashing.

"Boss, he's escaped."

"I know." Alduin looked away, down at his right paw, where dark red blood from Leon's tail lingered between the claws and was still slightly warm.

Will he come back?

"Yes." Auduin retrieved the Wilderness Emblem into the spatial rift, turned and walked towards the altar entrance. "If he can't get the Wilderness Emblem, he won't be able to collect all four emblems. Knowing his personality, he won't give up."

Blue followed behind Alduin, asking as they walked, "Boss, where do we go now?"

Alduin did not respond, but walked straight out of the altar, spread his dragon wings, and soared into the swirling snow.

Blue sprinted across the ground, each step covering dozens of meters, closely following behind him.
