Evolving by devouring from a young dragon

Three months flew by.

Alduin looked at the hundreds of top-grade magic crystals piled on the ground, a barely perceptible hint of excitement flashing in his vertical pupils.

Xiong San, standing to the side, swung his giant claws. With a gentle swipe of those heavy claws, magic crystal ore fell down, covering the ground.

He dug with extra effort, occasionally taking out a top-quality magic crystal, stuffing it into his mouth, and chewing it with relish.

Because the kobolds' mining efficiency was too slow, Xiong San simply took matters into his own hands and increased the efficiency several times over.

In just three months, the excavated magic crystals piled up like a mountain, numbering in the hundreds.

Alduin, meanwhile, used his dragon's breath acid to purify the dug-out magic crystals, turning them into crystal-clear, top-quality magic crystals.

This efficiency is many times higher than that of the two lazy dragons before.

Alduin thought of his two free mining slaves from before, wondering if they had been driven out of the dragon's lair.

If they have nowhere to go, Auduin wouldn't mind taking them in for a while.

Looking at Xiong San, who was diligently mining, Auduin narrowed his dragon eyes, becoming increasingly satisfied with his initial decision.

Although I've lost half of my earnings, I might not even be able to find a magic crystal mine, let alone a top-grade magic crystal, if I rely solely on myself.

Now that he has spent three months, even if the profits are split 50/50, he still has nearly two hundred top-grade magic crystals.

With these magic crystals, my strength will increase greatly again...

He hadn't been exposed to any new magical technology for months, and the thought of the wondrous interplay of metal and magic made him smile with a hint of anticipation.

Looking at the mountain of magic crystals, Alduin nodded, opened his mouth and inhaled, swallowing half of the magic crystals.

His stomach contains an alternate dimension that can specifically accommodate all kinds of inanimate objects.

This was a subtle change that occurred in his body after he consumed the ring that the merchant had carried with him, which was engraved with intricate runes.

The top-grade magic crystal that was previously given to Xiong San was also taken from here.

Alduin guessed that it must be some kind of alchemical item with spatial properties, which was why it caused this change in him.

The ability to replenish what you eat is really useful...

After marveling at his extraordinary talent, Alduin flew out of the mine and sped off to another location.

There is also a magic crystal vein hidden there.

Alduin wouldn't let those kobolds sit idle, so he relied on Xiong San to find another magic crystal vein and let them continue mining magic crystals there.

As for the previous copper mine...

Hmph, what business is faster than printing money directly?

"Owner!"

Blackclaw was startled when he saw Alduin beside him. He threw down his whip and knelt on the ground with a thud.

Alduin didn't waste any words with him and directly ordered, "Take all these top-grade magic crystals and exchange them for human magical artifacts and alchemical products."

Black Claw stared wide-eyed at the shimmering, top-grade magic crystal on the ground. He was just a tiny dog and had never seen anything like it before.

He nodded quickly, "Master, don't worry! I've dealt with those humans for so long, and I've never made a mistake!"

Kobolds are among the kobolds in Warcraft who have a relatively good relationship with humans. In addition, Blackclaw is extremely shrewd and has dealt with many merchants. Therefore, Alduin chose to entrust the task to him.

After all, you can't do it yourself.

He might be crushed into mincemeat by a mech that is even taller than himself and equipped with a god-slaying demonic energy core.

Maybe it's not even that big...

Of course, Alduin did not hand over all the magic crystals to Black Claw.

He kept some as a trump card to replenish his magic power.

The magic power contained in top-grade magic crystals is extremely pure and can be transformed into any attribute, making it an extremely convenient way to replenish magic power.

After everything was settled, a dangerous glint flashed in Alduin's dragon eyes.

He planned to take action and go hunting in more distant places.

Those magical and alchemical tools can at most refine the body and promote physical evolution.

However, to achieve a leap in realm and a transformation in the essence of power, the fresh flesh and blood of those magical beasts and their primal magic are the fastest ways for a dragon to grow.

As for the high-level magical beasts deep within the Crimson Mountains...

A hint of undisguised disdain flashed in Alduin's eyes.

These things showed no respect for him as a dragon; instead, they attacked him fiercely the moment they met.

Most importantly, their flesh and blood are a foul and mixed stench, with an extremely poor taste, and even their magic is tainted with the smell of demons.

In Alduin's inherited memories, demons are creatures that live in the hellish plane.

Apart from a few high-ranking demons, no other demons can leave the Hell plane on their own.

Only by performing a high-level magical ritual of "demon summoning" and paying a huge price can demons be sent from Hell to the material plane.

However, demons have not appeared in the Western Continent for nearly a century.

I don't know why that disgusting aura has reappeared in the Crimson Mountains...

A sense of unease crept into Auduin's mind.

……

A massive volcano stands alone on a barren highland, with scorching lava churning and exploding within its enormous crater. The air is distorted and warped by the heat waves, billowing smoke rises from within, and the surrounding rocks turn charred black.

Auduin crossed the Crimson Mountains and stepped into a desolate plateau, where this menacing volcano stood in the most prominent position.

As Auduin watched the slowly flowing lava, a thought struck him.

If I swallow this magma, will I be able to evolve the ability to spew magma?

However, looking at the scorching lava that even the air seemed to be distorted by the heat, he hesitated.

The scales might be bearable, but if you swallowed them all, you'd probably end up as a roasted dragon.

But eating just a little bit should be fine.

Auduin recalled his time in the Black Barrier Swamp, where he went from initially only being able to sip the poisonous water in small sips to later being able to drink freely without any harm.

After a moment's thought, he decided to give it a try.

Alduin's vanished figure reappeared, hovering above the magma vent.

He first activated the magic furnace in his stomach, converting the acid into magic and emptying it completely to prevent an explosion after the magma entered his stomach. Then he took a deep breath and swallowed a mouthful of magma.

"Sizzle—"

The scorching sound of his flesh being burned filled the air, but he endured the excruciating pain and swallowed the lava hard.

As soon as the magma entered his stomach, the magic furnace began to operate wildly, quickly refining it and integrating it into Alduin's body.

And the charred mouth, thanks to the dragon's tenacious self-healing ability, healed rapidly at a speed visible to the naked eye.

efficient!

Auduin was overjoyed, his eyes burning with desire as he gazed at the churning lava below.

All of this was observed by a gaze from deep within the magma.

Those yellow-red vertical pupils narrowed slightly, hidden beneath the churning lava, silently scrutinizing the young dragon that had rashly intruded into this place.
