Grimm felt a little uneasy.

The reaction of the Earth Spirit Rune indicates that the earth element in this ley line is very unstable, and may even be eroded.

"This is the road," Grim whispered to Blue, then instructed the goblin beside him:

"Stay close, don't wander off." He scanned the surroundings warily with his one eye. "Just like Lord Long said, as soon as the sun begins to tilt its head, we retreat immediately."

The goblins nodded repeatedly, accepted the runestones, and cautiously stepped into the depths of the Bone Hills.

The earth spirit rune stone was held in his hand, its earthy yellow light flickering, undulating slowly with the goblin's footsteps, as if it were trying to catch something.

Bru followed at the back of the group, arms crossed, his stone-like eyes scanning the surroundings.

He didn't understand anything about ley line fluctuations; he only knew to keep an eye on the piles of bones and act immediately if there was any unusual movement.

Time passed slowly, and the sun gradually set in the west. The goblins walked along the edge of the hills for a long time, but the light of the runestone remained weak until they reached a depression where bones were particularly dense. Suddenly, the yellowish-brown light on the stone became bright and even slightly hot.

"Boss! Over here!" the leading goblin whispered, quickly handing the runestone back to Grimm.

Grimm took the runestone, feeling a burning sensation at his fingertips. The runes on the stone were flashing wildly, clearly indicating a serious problem with the earth element in the ley lines.

He crouched down and brushed away the topsoil and broken bones, revealing a strange grayish-black soil beneath that emitted a faint, nauseating smell of decay.

"This is it." Grimm's heart tightened, and he quickly called to his goblin companions.

The goblins immediately scattered and began searching around the depression.

Blue stepped forward, looking down at the strange land, his brows furrowing slightly.

He could sense that in addition to the stench of decay, there was also a faint, chilling coldness in the air.

Just then, the goblin on the outermost edge suddenly let out a brief cry of surprise, which then stopped abruptly.

"What's wrong?" Grimm's heart tightened, and he immediately turned to look.

The goblin lay on the ground, his body twisted in a bizarre posture, his bones beneath his skin shattered and deformed.

But Grim didn't look at the fallen goblin; instead, he stared intently at the area beside the goblin's corpse.

From a pile of bones beside him, pale white bones emerged from the ground and quickly pieced together to form a skeletal figure.

Then a chilling aura instantly spread, and a layer of mist enveloped the surroundings, blocking out the remaining sunlight.

"There's something here!" Blue roared, immediately taking large strides to block Grimm's path, his fists clenched, a faint earthy yellow aura emanating from his body.

Grimm trembled with fear as he watched the skeletal figure slowly rise to its feet.

Its entire body was composed of pale, withered bones, with two clusters of eerie green soul fire flickering in its eye sockets. It held a bone blade formed from bone spikes in its hand, and its body exuded the pressure of a peak sixth-order necromancer!

This is a bone lich!

It made no sound, but slowly raised its bone blade, and the eerie green soul fire locked onto the goblin and stone giant in front of it.

The next second, his figure suddenly disappeared from the spot, turning into a pale afterimage, and rushed towards the goblins!

"Retreat!" Bru roared, his massive body taking a step forward, his arms crossed in front of him to block the bone lich's attack path.

"clang--!"

The bone blade slammed into Bru's stone arm, producing a piercing metallic clang and sparks flying. Bru felt a tingling numbness in his arm and staggered back two steps, leaving a deep scratch mark on his stone arm.

"Grim!" Blue shouted without turning his head, staring intently at the monster in front of him. "This thing is a bit troublesome. You go find the boss, I'll hold it off."

Grimm looked at the terrifying bone monster before him, then at Blue who was fighting back with all his might, and was terrified, but he knew that he could not hesitate at this moment.

He gritted his teeth and roared at the remaining goblins, "Go! Follow me back to the dragon's lair!"

After saying that, he turned and ran, his short legs struggling desperately. Behind him came the roar of the fierce battle between Blue and the bone lich, as well as the crisp sound of bones shattering. Every sound made him tremble with fear, and he wished he had two more legs.

On the pebble beach, the bone lich slowly rose into the air, the will-o'-the-wisps in its eye sockets lighting up.

The ground around it began to tremble, and broken bones leaped up from the ground, coalescing into a dozen bone spears in front of it, hovering in mid-air, their tips aimed at the stone giant opposite.

Blue was covered in bluish-gray rock armor, and the earth runes engraved on his fists glowed faintly.

He pushed off with his feet, cracking the ground, and charged towards the bone lich like a moving mountain.

The bone lich floated backward, while its bone spear shot out.

Blue punched and smashed the first one. The second one pierced his shoulder and he crushed it. But the third bone spear came out of the way and he couldn't dodge it. It pierced his thigh.

With a slight effort, he pulled out the bone spear, but bone fragments were scattered everywhere. The real problem was the necromantic aura seeping from those fragments, seeping into the cracks in the rock armor and slowing his movements down.

"The Cage of Bones"

The bone lich spoke in a shrill voice, and then dozens of bone spikes suddenly sprang up from the ground, forming a cage that trapped Blue in the middle.

Blue smashed two bones with one punch, and more sprouted. He exerted force again, and the broken bones grew back, making it impossible to break through them.

He stopped, took a deep breath, and slammed both fists into the ground at the same time.

The ground exploded, and a rock spike shot out from the earth, heading straight for the bone lich.

The bone lich had no time to dodge and was knocked away by the rock spikes, rolling twice on the ground, with half of its skeleton broken.

Taking advantage of the moment, Blue tore apart the bone cage beside him and rushed over.

The bone lich got up, its scattered bones swirling in the air before piecing themselves back together. It raised its head, and the will-o'-the-wisps in its eye sockets suddenly turned a blinding blue, with two eerie blue beams shooting straight into Blue's eyes.

Blue froze.

His hand froze in mid-air, his fist clenched, but no matter what he did, he couldn't bring it down.

The bone lich floated in front of him, its bone claws extending, the nails glowing with a dark green light, aimed at Blue's chest.

That is the core of the earth, the true weakness of the stone giants.

Blue's eyes twitched, and the rock patterns on his body emitted a pale yellow light. Then, he turned his body and avoided a fatal blow.

The bone claws grazed the edge of the core, leaving three deep grooves in the rock armor. Necromantic magic seeped in, and the rock surface began to turn gray and crack.

Blue's fist finally slammed down.

The punch landed squarely on the bone lich's chest, causing his skeleton to explode in the middle, sending bone fragments flying everywhere. His skull bounced twice on the ground before rolling to a rock, and the will-o'-the-wisps in his eye sockets dimmed considerably.

The Bone Lich's "Bone Gaze" can control the enemy's mind, causing the opponent to freeze.

However, the stone giant's consciousness did not reside entirely in his brain, but was dispersed throughout the rock structure of his entire body, which gave him the opportunity to break free of his restraints.

Bru was panting heavily. He looked down at the wound on his chest. The gray cracks were still spreading. He pressed his hand against the wound, and the earth runes lit up. The cracks stopped, but they did not heal.

The white bones on the ground surged and multiplied.

One, two, three...

The bones floated up from the ground and began to recombine. The bone lich stood up again, and the will-o'-the-wisps in its eye sockets shone brightly once more than before.

Bru clenched his fist.

New bone spears began to form around the bone lich.

No one backed down.
