The moonlight fell on his dark golden scales, making them shimmer with silver light.

Alduin lowered his head, and the Moon Soul hovered in front of his chest.

The dark purple light within the moon's soul had completely dissipated, leaving only a pure silver-white glow.

The parts contaminated by necromantic magic are slowly fading away, and a silvery-white light seeps out, forcing the last bit of necromantic magic out of the body.

The lich is dead.

The ritual array also began to collapse at this moment.

One after another, the blood-red pillars of light broke apart, the dragon-shaped pattern on the ground became blurred, and the vortex of necromancy in the sky slowly shrank, turning into specks of light in the air and drifting away with the wind.

On the barren hills, the low-ranking undead collapsed to the ground, motionless, the instant the lich died.

The skeletons fell apart, the bone beasts collapsed, and the ghouls rotted into mud.

The remaining fragments of their souls drifted out, turning into specks of eerie green starlight, which soon dissipated completely.

The battlefield fell silent.

The roars of the bone dragons, the chants of the liches, and the howls of the undead all vanished, leaving only the clanging of clashing weapons.

That's the sound of a weapon falling to the ground.

Only the rustling sound of the night wind passing through the barren hills and the occasional crackling of the embers of the fire wall could be heard.

Alduin folded his dragon wings and landed on the ground.

The seventh-order dragon's might had not completely subsided. Most of the necromantic mist in the air had dissipated, restoring some visibility, and a scene of utter devastation could be vaguely seen on the ground.

He glanced at the battlefield.

The orc chieftain stood beside the lich's remains, leaning on his axe.

His tiger's mouth was split open, bleeding profusely, and his body was covered in wounds, yet he still did not fall.

He simply looked at Alduin in silence, without saying a word, and nodded slightly.

The high shaman, leaning on his bone staff, stood beside the chief.

His golden aura had retracted, and blood was still seeping from the wounds on his face caused by the bone fragments, but his eyes remained bright as he looked at the moon spirit on Alduin's chest. His lips moved, but he said nothing.

Bru knelt in the center of the battlefield, his stone body partially shattered.

His left arm was severed at the elbow, and his right arm was also only half intact. The claw marks on his shoulder were so deep that the bone was visible, and the cracks spread from his shoulder to his chest, almost splitting him in two.

But he is still alive.

Those stone eyes were still glowing, and the runes on his chest were still flashing.

He looked at Auduin, expressionless and silent, simply waiting for orders.

Elunea knelt on one knee beside the Moonfire rune, her silver-grey eyes gazing at the Moon Soul on Alduin's chest.

The silvery-white light from the moon's soul illuminated her face, revealing an indescribable expression on her pale face.

She still held her short staff in her hand, but the moonstone was gone from the top, leaving only a bare shaft.

Fortunately, at least some of her people survived.

Although there weren't many to begin with...

Grimm peeked out from behind a large rock and saw Alduin land. He scrambled over and stood bent over next to the dragon's claws, his legs trembling like leaves, but he managed to force a fawning smile onto his face.

"Dragon Lord, are you alright?"

Auduin did not look at him.

"Inventory the spoils."

His voice was deep and carried the oppressive aura of a seventh-tier dragon, "The remains of the lich, the shattered bones of the bone dragon, the core crystal of the necromantic array, and the crystallized necromantic magic at the edge of the dimensional rift—collect them all, don't miss a single one."

Grimm paused for a moment, then nodded quickly:

"Yes, yes!"

"The injured," Alduin paused, "those who can be healed, heal; those who can't, give them a quick death."

Grimm opened his mouth as if to say something, but nodded instead.

Alduin then turned to look at the orc chieftain and the high shaman.

"The lich is dead, but the rift is still healing."

He said slowly, "You and the orcs guard the edge of the rift, and do not allow the undead to approach. You are not allowed to leave until the rift closes."

The chief nodded, and the high shaman bowed, leaning on his staff.

Alduin took one last look at the devastated battlefield before spreading his wings.

"Tomorrow," the voice wasn't loud, but everyone heard it, "after the battlefield is cleaned up, send all the valuables to the Rotten Swamp."

As soon as he finished speaking, he flapped his wings and took off, flying towards the dragon's nest.

The fire spirit chick peeked out from between the dragon's horns, chirping with the relief of surviving a calamity.

When Alduin left, he took Moonsoul with him, amidst Elunea's complex expression.

We've arrived at the dragon's nest.

Auduin walked into the pile of gold coins, with the Moon Soul hanging on his chest, its silvery light illuminating the surroundings.

He gently lay down, and the fire spirit chick jumped down from between his legs, landing on the gold coin. It tilted its head to look at the moon spirit and chirped.

Alduin simply looked at it deeply, said nothing, and then closed his eyes.

Within his body, soul power was still surging.

The lich's pure soul power helped his soul stand more firmly at the seventh rank, but it still needed time to settle.

He glanced at the Moon Soul, then opened his mouth and swallowed it whole.

The moon soul slid into his body, but was not digested. Instead, it sank to the core of the dragon soul, like a satellite, slowly rotating around his soul, with silver-white light and golden embers intertwining and reflecting each other.

This made the firebird's eyes widen, and it let out a clear cry.

Auduin closed his eyes and began to sort through his harvest.

Although the lich's soul did not significantly change his physical body, it shortened the period during which his soul needed to spend a lot of time sleeping to grow.

After absorbing the Bone Dragon, he gained the ability to control necromantic magic, which further enhanced his strength.

And the moon spirit before us...

This thing can stabilize the soul and serves as an anchor point, greatly benefiting the soul, so he placed it in his soul sea.

These three forces each resided in their respective places within his body, without interfering with each other.

Alduin slowly opened his eyes, glanced at the fire spirit lying on the pile of gold coins, and pondered to himself.

He guessed the lich's true purpose: to merge with his dragon soul and become a dragon lich. Therefore, there must be a battle on a soul level.

That's why he seized the opportunity to devour the remaining fragments of the lich's soul within the bone dragon, breaking through to the seventh-tier epic level, so that he would have a chance to fight against it.

However, the lich's strength later exceeded his expectations, directly overwhelming him in his soul sea, making it impossible for him to breathe and impossible for him to resist.

Auduin pondered the golden flames erupting within his soul.

After signing a symbiotic contract with it, his own soul was already imprinted with a fire elemental mark, so it wasn't surprising that he could use Ember Flame at the soul level. But the key point was...

The essence of Emberfire is rebirth, which does not involve the power of the soul. With the strength of that lich, this thing can only barely block it.

To Alduin's surprise, this thing directly purified the lich.
