Evolving by devouring from a young dragon

Auduin could see it very clearly from the air.

The strategy for this is very simple: attrition.

Instead of taking action itself, it used the power of the earth's veins to continuously generate vines and treants, causing the allied forces to exhaust their magic and stamina wave after wave.

Once they are exhausted, it will personally intervene and deliver the decisive blow.

This was an open conspiracy, but they were powerless to break it.

Because the Tree King's power source is the entire Moonlit Forest, while the Allied Forces' power is limited.

"Don't retreat!" Alduin said in a deep voice.

But he merely watched the Lion Knights struggling below, making no move.

Although this tree king is also at the seventh level, its strength is not enough to threaten him.

His gaze fell on Leon, who stood motionless in the lower formation, and his dragon eyes narrowed slightly.

The leader of the Lion Knights has not shown his full strength since the start of the war, and he also wanted to use this battle to test Leon and the Knights' true strength.

Leon seemed to have seen through his thoughts. He looked up at the giant dragon coiled in mid-air, a knowing yet bitter smile playing on his lips, and spoke loudly:

"Lord Dragon, your cold indifference is simply to see how long my Lion Knights can hold out, isn't it?"

He paused, his yellow aura slightly receding, as if he had deliberately softened his tone, which was frank yet tinged with a hint of helplessness:

"Although my Lion Clan is brave, we cannot stop the Tree King from staying on its home turf with a continuous supply of magic. If this continues, the Knights Order will truly collapse in less than half a day."

Leon slowly raised his longsword, its tip pointing towards the tree king that stood tall in the center of the forest:

"Lord Dragon, how about you handle this Tree King? My Lion Knights are not worthy of your cold indifference, Lord Dragon."

High in the sky, Alduin's dark golden vertical pupils flashed.

He had initially intended to test the waters, but he hadn't expected Leon to be so straightforward, directly stating his intentions and so readily handing over control of the battlefield.

The silence lasted only a moment.

The treant below sensed the change in the allied forces' momentum, roared, and countless roots shot into the sky, preparing to launch a final attack.

Auduin finally moved.

Without any unnecessary movements, the dragon flapped its wings, its figure vanished instantly, and the next moment it appeared on the Fallen Tree King.

Then, a powerful dragon's might swept across, pressing all the tree-people in the entire forest to the ground, unable to move.

Seeing this, Leon wisely withdrew his sword and retreated, leading his knights to make way on both sides.

He knew very well that the stage ahead no longer belonged to them.

Before the dragon's claws even landed, the terrifying pressure had already crushed all the vines around the Tree King.

Auduin looked down at the withered, silvery-white tree, its transformation driven by decaying crystals, his tone indifferent:

"How dare you act so presumptuously here, you mere plaything?"

The next instant, a beam of blazing white light descended from the sky and struck the Tree King precisely.

The Tree King tried to dodge, but the space around it seemed to be locked by an invisible force. Its branches and leaves twisted wildly, but it could not move an inch.

The moment the white light exploded, the Tree King's massive body twisted violently, and even the vines spreading from the ground turned to ashes at the same instant.

Just a moment later.

The seventh-tier Tree King, which had just been pushing the allied forces back in defeat, was now critically injured and on the verge of death by this attack.

This is the seventh-tier moonlight magic Alduin acquired, "Radiant Moon Judgment".

It is incredibly powerful, but its only drawback is that the chanting time is too long and the energy consumption is too high.

However, after he advanced to the seventh-tier epic level, his affinity and control over magic power greatly improved, his chanting time was greatly shortened, and although the consumption was high, he could recover quickly.

Seeing this, Leon, the captain of the Lion Knights, felt a chill run down his spine. The battle ended even faster than he had imagined.

The knights of the Lion Knights were also stunned. Renn scratched his head, seemingly lost in thought, and muttered to himself:

"Is Dragon City that powerful...?"

Alduin ignored him and looked only at the dying Fallen Tree King.

"No...impossible..." the Tree King's voice trailed off, "What...are you...?"

Auduin ignored his question.

He used his dragon claws to pierce the trunk of the Tree King and directly grasped the core hidden deep inside.

That withered crystal was just a grayish-white crystal interwoven with a trace of silver moonlight power.

Auduin was somewhat surprised.

These two opposing forces are now fused together, which is quite interesting.

He shook his head and stopped thinking about it.

He doesn't need this crystal right now, and even if he ate it, the amount would be too small to be of much use, so he'll keep it for now...

After reciting the words, he casually swallowed the crystal and stored it in the space in his stomach...

With its core extracted, the Tree King was reduced to ashes.

The wall of roots, having lost its magical support, collapsed with a crash.

The miasma of death began to dissipate, revealing the long-lost azure sky.

The afterglow of the setting sun spilled onto the battlefield, turning the scattered wood and black sap a dark red.

Alduin landed on the ruins, his dragon wings slowly folding.

His dragon claws were still covered with fragments of the Tree King's core, and golden embers danced at the tips of his claws, burning away the last remnants.

The battlefield was deathly silent.

The Lion Knights, the Orc Warriors, the Elf Elunea—everyone was watching him.

All eyes were on him.

Then--

"Long live the Dragon Lord!" Grim shouted first, his voice high-pitched and excited.

"Dragon Lord! Dragon Lord! Dragon Lord!" The orc warriors raised their battle axes and shouted in unison.

The Lion Knights pointed their longswords to the sky, and yellow flames reignited, this time not for battle, but to show respect.

Leon Goldenmane dismounted from the lion and knelt on one knee, followed by the knights behind him who all knelt on one knee as well.

"The Dragon Lord is mighty!"

Auduin did not respond.

He simply turned around and looked towards the ruins deep in the forest, where an ancient underground altar was revealed.

The Sacred Stone of Luna is right there.

……

Meanwhile, on the other side, atop the giant rock mountain.

This place is not located on the surface of mountains and rivers, but rather hidden deep within the folds of the earth, in a layer of another dimension.

It is the sacred origin and final resting place of the Stone Giant race. Only Stone Giants can enter, and ordinary races will never be able to find the entrance in their entire lives.

Blue followed his hazy memories and continued on his way.

He walked for an unknown amount of time when a crack suddenly appeared in front of him.

Upon closer inspection, Bru realized that the crack was not formed on the rock, but appeared out of thin air.

This thing, like an eye, is scrutinizing him.

Bru scratched his head; this was the place that had guided him in his mind.

After taking a deep breath, he strode into the crack, and he was not hindered in any way. The crack only emitted a burst of yellow light, and he entered it smoothly.
