Anyone who has read the original comics knows that Peter Parker is not a faithful person in relationships.

He was born with a knack for wavering, a knack for hesitation, and an even knack for comfortably enjoying the closeness and favor from different women. He was gentle to everyone and kept in touch with everyone, playing the ambiguous game with unparalleled skill.

He craves the feeling of being liked, but is rarely willing to set clear boundaries for someone. He often jumps back and forth between several ambiguous relationships, neither making a clear commitment nor having the heart to push them away.

Even while he was in a relationship with Gwen, he never completely severed ties with Mary Jane. His thoughts and gaze frequently wandered between the two girls, and emotional infidelity was a regular occurrence for him.

Later, while he was with Mary Jane, he repeatedly became entangled with the black cat Felicia, having secret rendezvous late at night, cuddling closely, and constantly flirting with her. Their physical intimacy crossed almost no boundaries.

That indulgence and wavering had long since trampled loyalty underfoot.

In addition, his ambiguous entanglements with Betty, Liz, and others, a love triangle drama played out repeatedly in his life. He enjoyed stability while craving excitement, using responsibility and hesitation as excuses to trap all those who were in love with him in his selfish and wavering tenderness.

Peter completed the subsequent measurement process almost entirely with the last vestiges of his vague consciousness.

Subjectively, he wanted to wait until he had made a little name for himself before taking his relationship with Gwen to the next level.

However, objectively speaking, the hormones that were about to overflow during puberty almost took over his body's actions.

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, his actions changed from restraint to much more rudeness.

The hand holding the measuring tape would occasionally brush against and lightly touch Gwen's body, which was covered by clothes, causing the girl's body to tremble slightly with shyness and emotion.

After completing all the measurement steps, Peter left Gwen's bedroom almost as if he were fleeing, as if escaping an abyss that was about to devour all his persistence and rationality, leaving Gwen alone sitting disheveled on the edge of the bed.

Gwen watched Peter's retreating figure, feeling both angry and disappointed, yet also inexplicably wanting to laugh at his cowardly and restrained manner.

……

After leaving Stacy's house, Peter walked back to Parker's house.

Now that the family's financial situation is much better than before, he heated up a plate of spaghetti bolognese made by Aunt Mei and ate it with great relish.

Compared to the Kremlin's feast of black caviar, borscht and venison, the exquisite French cuisine at the Élysée Palace that is almost like a work of art, and the traditional English dinner at Buckingham Palace hosted by the Queen herself, he found the simple bowl of pasta in front of him to be the most appealing to his taste buds.

As for why there was no White House? He hasn't forgotten that Trump treated him to a bunch of McDonald's hamburgers, fries, and Chicken McNuggets back in the day.

The way Vance wolfed down a pile of synthetic meat made him exclaim, "Who says there's no human touch abroad?"

I had just finished washing the dishes when there was a knock on the door.

Peter opened the door and saw Harry leaning against the wall, and Ned clutching his backpack tightly, looking on with curiosity.

The three entered the garage, which had already been emptied of production equipment.

Harry was the first to take off his backpack and deftly pull out a shiny, thin, high-end laptop. Ned followed suit, frantically pulling out his gaming laptop covered in anime stickers.

Peter walked to an old desk that Uncle Ben had picked up at the edge of the garage and opened his unusually heavy old computer—the casing was pieced together, the interfaces showed signs of repair, and the keyboard even had two keycaps that were different colors. It was a machine that he had painstakingly pieced together from discarded parts that he had collected from others, soldered, assembled, and flashed the system on.

When the computer is turned on, the fan makes a slightly strained hum before the screen slowly lights up.

Ned leaned closer and whispered, "Peter, why did you call us over in such a hurry?"

Peter looked at the two of them: "I want to create a short video website."

Harry frowned. "Short videos? You mean short videos like those on YouTube?"

“Completely different.” Peter shook his head.

"Current video platforms are too cumbersome, often lasting several minutes or even more than ten minutes. They are troublesome to shoot and time-consuming to watch. What I want to make are short videos that can be watched in ten or twenty seconds. You can watch them on your phone or computer by simply opening a webpage. There is no need to install complicated software or wait for long loading times. You can shoot, edit, and post them anytime, anywhere."

He paused for a moment, then continued, "Ordinary people can easily share snippets of their lives—a daily routine, a small talent, a sudden inspiration—and post them online."

"And that's not all—those show-off, bragging superheroes will go even crazier."

"They have the ability, the skills, and the ability to create amazing moments, and they crave attention and admiration. This platform is a tailor-made showcase for them. They don't need to hide their abilities or remain low-key; if they want to show off, the whole world can see them."

Ned's eyes lit up instantly: "So, anyone can come here and show off their life, even their superpowers?"

“That’s right.” Peter nodded. “Recording, showcasing, and disseminating—it’s all incredibly simple. What I’m trying to create is a platform that everyone can use, that everyone wants to use to feel relevant and share their lives.”

Harry chuckled, a hint of amusement in his voice: "If that guy in Stark Tower knew about this thing, he'd go crazy. He'd love to show off his new invention to the world 24/7; there's no better stage for him."

Ned thought for a moment and asked, "Then the question is... how can we grow our little website? We can't just keep having just a few of us playing with it, can we?"

Peter had a plan: "It's simple. The first step is to start in the New York university circle. Students love new things and spread them the fastest."

"Once we have the first batch of users, we'll rely on superheroes to drive traffic—as long as one or two heroes can't resist posting a few videos, it will immediately go viral. Ordinary people will follow suit and register, and the media will rush to report on it. At that point, we won't need to promote it; the traffic will come in on its own. Plus, with the big data algorithm I wrote, it's more and more addictive the more you scroll, and users simply won't leave."

Harry frowned, then followed up with, "The idea is great, but what about funding? Building a website, buying servers, bandwidth, and ongoing maintenance—it all costs money. Should I talk to Grandpa about it? Your idea is excellent; he'll definitely be interested."

Peter pulled a bottle of hemostatic gel spray from his pocket: "This should be enough for me to raise my initial startup capital."

Peter immediately settled the division of labor: "Ned, you're in charge of security. Firewall, intrusion detection, user privacy protection—it's all yours."

Looking at Harry, he continued, "Harry, you're in charge of data processing, user behavior analysis, storage architecture, and bandwidth scheduling to ensure the platform doesn't crash and that video streaming is smooth."

"I'll build the overall framework and design the website, from the front-end interaction to the core recommendation logic, I'll decide everything."

After Peter finished speaking, he took out two pre-printed and signed equity transfer agreements from the side pocket of his backpack and handed them to Harry and Ned respectively.

"This is the equity transfer agreement for Parker Industries, giving each of you 10 percent of the shares."

Ned picked up the agreement without even glancing at it, his voice brimming with excitement: "Peter, I don't care about the shares at all. Just thinking about doing something this big with you is thrilling enough!"

Harry flipped through a couple of pages and tossed them back onto the table: "This is much more interesting than staying in the company, listening to the old man nag all day, and taking endless courses on business management, financial risk control, and family succession."

The three men bumped fists with each other.

Peter dragged out a few old tables and chairs from the corner, just like the empty garage. They creaked and groaned as soon as they were moved, and the chair legs wobbled slightly.

Harry and Ned showed no sign of disgust. Together, they straightened the table, placed their notebooks on it, and immediately got to work, burying themselves in their tasks with Peter.

While writing the code, Ned asked, "Peter, what should we call our website?"

Peter had just finished creating the website logo on the drawing software; it was the one with white musical notes on a pure black background that he remembered.

He turned the screen to face the two people: "Let's call it TikTok."
