Chapter 84 Death

"Venom, come out and say hello to Miss Witch."

A jet-black head emerged from Peter's shoulder, baring sharp white teeth and extending a tentacle: "Hi, hello Miss Witch."

Wanda looked at the oddly ugly round head and politely replied, "Hello."

Peter felt Venom reading his memories bit by bit and said to Venom, "I need to unseal Nar now, how do I do that?"

Upon hearing this, Venom was so frightened that it extended another tentacle.

Its two tentacles covered its black, round head, and its two white eyes showed a very human-like expression of terror as it exclaimed, "What? Unsealing Nar? Are you crazy?"

"Read through my memories first."

Venom accelerated, reading all of Peter's memories and witnessing the impending Ultron invasion.

Then, it scratched its head with its tentacles and said helplessly, "Well, given the current situation, I guess only Nal can kill Ultron."

Wanda asked in confusion, "What is Nar?"

So Peter introduced Nal to Wanda.

Nar existed before the present universe itself. He was born in the primordial void between the sixth and seventh universes, and is the dark god of that void.

That primordial nothingness—without light, without time, without matter—was his body, and also his consciousness.

The Celestials invaded his territory at the dawn of creation, tearing the void with light. Gnar awoke from his slumber, furious that his dark kingdom had been violated.

So he drew a sword from his own shadow and with one swing beheaded a member of the Celestials.

He used the head of that dead god as a furnace, quenching it with cosmic energy and repeatedly hammering it with the dark will of the abyss.

The sword was burned by flames and hammered during its forging process, which is why all the symbiotes that followed inherited its weakness to fire and sound waves.

The Black Necrosword (AII) is the first symbiote and the ancestor of all symbiotes.

For his defiance of the Celestials, Gnar was exiled to the deepest reaches of the universe. But he did not fade into obscurity.

Nar discovered that he could create writhing dark parasites—living abysses—that parasitized lower organisms, drawing energy from them by reading the host's fears and emotions.

This was the prototype of the symbiotic race. He then began to mass-produce them, forming a symbiotic army spearheaded by dragons, and once again declared war on the light and the gods.

In some versions, Thor shot down an invading symbiote dragon on ancient Earth, severing Gnar's mental connection with all the symbiotes.

After Nar's control over the symbiotes' hive mind was severed, those symbiotes that regained their independent consciousness were influenced by the concepts of kindness and nobility of some life forms in the universe, and gradually deviated from the creator's mad will.

Countless symbiotes united and used their own bodies to build a massive living prison, imprisoning their creator deep within the star's core.

The name of this cage is "Klyntar" in the symbiote's native language—meaning cage.

Peter just opened a portal and pulled Venom out of Klinta, where he was still eating hotpot and singing.

The reason Peter chose to unseal Nal was because he discovered that Ultron's program had been upgraded to the level of a concept, almost a living computational logic.

Even after Ultron's bodies were obliterated into fundamental particles, some kind of chilling program still ran in the vacuum of space.

Peter needs Nalna's nothingness and destruction, which can erase things at the conceptual and rule-based level, to completely destroy Ultron.

"What conditions are needed to unseal Nar?" Peter asked the Venom on his shoulder.

Venom replied, "We need to collect the marks left on the host by the symbiote when it forcibly resurrected it, fuse them into a codex strong enough to free Nal's consciousness from Clint, and then use a symbiote that has already parasitized a host as a vessel to allow Nal to descend."

"How many branding marks do you want?"

Venom hesitated for a moment, then said, "Uh—I need 666 brands."

After listening, Wanda said, "So now we need 666 symbiotes and hosts, then kill them and resurrect them to take their mark?"

Peter thought for a moment and said, "First, get a copy of the brand and see if you can replicate it with your abilities. If not, I'll think of another way."

After saying that, Peter made a hand gesture and used the Time Stone to modify the rules of the time loop, so that his death would not trigger the time loop.

Then, Peter directly condensed into a Vishanti sword, plunged it into his chest, and churned it in his heart.

Peter's heightened senses allowed him to clearly feel the white magic sword piercing through his body tissues, then turning his vibrant heart, along with his ribs and part of his lungs, into a jumble of bones and flesh.

Venom can use its abilities to break these fragments down into cellular tissue in an instant, and then, in a way that is more efficient than the Regeneration Cradle, use countless nanoscale tentacles to put the cells and tissues back in their original positions, completely repairing the host's body within seconds.

But it can't do that; it has to make Peter completely dead.

The pain kept tearing at Peter's consciousness, but Spider-Man's powerful physique allowed him to remain conscious for the time being, savoring the agony.

After experiencing pain for about ten seconds, Peter lost consciousness.

The gamma power of the cerebral cortex bursts fifteen seconds after Peter loses consciousness.

The brainwave patterns recorded in the morgue were now being replicated in Peter's skull, with gamma oscillations surging at the junction of the parietal and occipital lobes, like a flood overflowing a dam, overflowing the channels that store autobiographical memories.

The gamma waves, those neural oscillations that only occur when healthy humans are awake, dreaming, or meditating, now ignite a final light in a neural network that is beginning to shut down.

In the final moments of a person's life, the brain retrieves fragments of memory scattered throughout the hippocampus, amygdala, and prefrontal cortex, sorts them chronologically, and compresses them into a readable file.

This is an instruction etched into its genes by evolution, which it only needs to execute at the moment of its impending death.

The scene jumps from Peter's inner turmoil when Gwen first greets him, to the sweaty fun Uncle Ben and Peter have in the garage fixing his beat-up Toyota, and the aroma of Aunt May's dinner in the kitchen.

The scene shifts again to Peter's birthday meal of a hamburger, fries, and cola. Even though Harry took him to eat it countless times afterward, it never brought the same joy as the first time he ate it.

The video speeds up.

The Osborne family's drawing room had been converted into a simple laboratory, Harry looked bored, and Norman looked on with admiration.

On the observation deck, Gwen's hair, ruffled by the night wind, brushed against the back of his hand, carrying the warmth of her hair. Then came the warmth of his lips, and the shyness and softness of his body.

On the sofa, Tony grumbled as he pulled up his pants, telling Jarvis to delete the photos from Peter's phone.

In hell, the shyness on Diana's face —

High-frequency oscillations unleashed a final tsunami on the cerebral cortex, and seawater swept over the island leaves.

In the brain region responsible for interoception, pain, and "I am me," the endorphin system is activated.

The hypothalamus initiates a final survival program when on the verge of death.

It releases beta-endorphins, severing the connection between pain signals and consciousness.

The release of endorphins brought mercy to the brain, and Peter's already fading consciousness could no longer feel the pain coming from his body.

The gamma wave completely disappeared at the thirty-fifth second, the concentration of β-endorphin continued to rise, and the serotonin system took over.

The surge in serotonin casts a soft-focus effect on the flashback, cutting off not only physical pain but also the pain associated with memory.

All the negative emotions in the flashback are blocked by serotonin, and the collapsing consciousness no longer feels pain when browsing through those memories filled with unpleasant emotions.

The last batch of hormones released by the hypothalamus before death—norepinephrine—is injected into the rapidly dying neural network in synergy with dopamine.

When the body is near death, the endocrine system depletes its reserves, resulting in a nuclear-level release that far surpasses the orgasms experienced by runners and sexual climaxes.

Before shutting down, the brain dumps all the remaining fuel into the engine at once; supported by hormones, consciousness is painless.

I completed my end-of-life care with great joy.

Peter experienced the entire process of death for the first time without his body being rapidly destroyed.

Peter died again.

His consciousness floated in the darkness. When a symbiote host dies while being parasitized, its soul is captured by the symbiotes' hive mind so that the symbiotes can retrieve the soul back into the body after resurrecting the host.
