Chapter 97 Tonya is finished
Neither of them spoke again; they simply held each other quietly.
Peter felt a rare sense of peace in Wanda's arms.
He focused all his thoughts on the person in front of him, and had no other thoughts on his mind.
The symbiotes' thoughts were isolated in a corner of their consciousness. Although they were still making noise, it was no longer like an endless torment as before.
As night fell, sunlight streamed into the room through the curtains.
Wanda whispered in his arms, "I should get up."
Peter released Wanda and watched her lift the covers, get out of bed, change out of her nightgown, and then take out clothes from the bedroom closet to change into.
I wish I could look at her like this every morning.
"You should go," Wanda said to Peter, who was still lying in bed, as she walked to the bedside.
Peter sat up and said to Wanda, "Can I come see you again tonight?"
"No." Wanda refused, and the seriousness in her eyes told Peter that she wasn't just being polite.
If I insist on coming to see her, it will only put more pressure on her and make her feel even more uncomfortable in this relationship.
Peter lowered his head.
"At least give me some time, okay?"
Peter stood up, hugged Wanda, and then immediately pulled away: "Okay."
His figure disappeared into the room.
Queens, Parker Industries' headquarters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Peter arrived at his office; it was still late at night due to the time difference.
There was no lighting in the office, only indicator lights on some electronic devices.
Peter sat in the chair behind his desk, swiveled the chair, and looked out at the night view.
He leaned back in his chair and rocked back and forth, the thoughts of the symbiotes starting to play out a grand chorus in his mind again.
During the chorus, Peter pondered Wanda's words, and then thought of Gwen.
It seems some things can't be hidden forever, or rather, he doesn't intend to keep them hidden indefinitely.
Rather than letting her notice something's wrong one day, or accidentally finding out, it's better to tell her at a suitable time.
At least such a situation is still relatively controllable.
But there's never a suitable time for something like this.
The two slap marks on Wang's face were still vivid in his mind. Peter didn't think that his handsome face alone could make Gwen accept his fickleness.
Peter was already looking forward to the day when a powerful supervillain would suddenly appear.
After defeating him with all my might, I should also get injured, preferably in a serious way.
When he lies in Gwen's arms, coughing up blood and saying, "You are all my wings," Gwen probably won't be angry with him anymore.
Peter stayed in his office until dawn, until security opened the building doors.
The employees entered the building one after another, beginning to work towards his financial future.
Mary Jane opened the office door and saw Peter sitting in a chair.
"Mr. Parker, how come you arrived before me?"
Seeing that the boss arrived earlier than the employees, Mary Jane felt a bit of pressure. She felt that this job might be more difficult than she had imagined.
But even if it's tough, can it be tougher than an American who independently supports everything he needs to complete college?
But the thought of her six-figure monthly salary immediately filled Mary Jane with motivation again.
A monthly salary of 10 yuan is, in theory, impossible for someone with her education and major.
All I can say is that Liz, her junior, is incredibly kind. She took good care of Liz when they were in college, and Liz helped her find this job.
This favor was so great that Mary Jane didn't know how to repay it.
Peter, as the Black Emperor, is a being of a single universe level, capable of easily reading the thoughts of others.
But he never did that. He didn't have any particular voyeuristic tendencies, so why would he keep that thing running?
If he knew what Mary Jane was thinking at that moment, he would definitely tell her that as long as the two of them existed in this world at the same time, they would definitely meet by fate without Liz's introduction.
"Just call me Peter, no need to be so formal." Peter gestured for Mary Jane to sit down in the chair opposite the desk.
Then, he began to explain the work to Mary Jane.
"What you need to do now is to stay by my side and learn from me. Once you have a better understanding of your job, I will gradually hand over your responsibilities and authority to you."
Peter turned on the holographic projector and pointed to the document that Harry was cursing on the screen, saying, "The company has a lot of documents that I need to approve and sign every day. I gave this authority to Harry, but he's a laid-back person, and this kind of tedious work is torture for him. So once you get the hang of it, you'll be in charge of these things."
Mary Jane once again felt that Peter was unreliable. She asked, "Doesn't that mean handing over the management of Parker Industries to me? Peter, this is your company! Aren't you afraid that if I don't do a good job, it will cause you serious losses?"
"First, I believe that as long as I follow the strategy I have formulated step by step, it is impossible for losses to occur."
Peter pointed to Mary Jane: "Secondly, I have a good eye for people. I believe that after the initial training, you will be able to do your job well, or even better than me."
Peter had a lot of confidence in Mary Jane. At least in some comic books, Mary Jane was portrayed not as a decorative figure tied to Peter Parker, but as a shrewd and capable businesswoman.
The owner of "MJ's" nightclub, Tony Stark's executive assistant, and management are all different versions of Mary Jane's identity.
It doesn't make sense that if Peter is so strong, the other characters in his universe are so weak.
Oh, right, Tony was pretty lame, he even finished pooping.
Peter didn't even see a single piece of the Jarvis armor he painstakingly created—the Godkiller armor, the Anti-Phoenix armor, or the Celestial Hulkbuster armor—let alone any of them.
Tony couldn't even create the sunstone crystal that Peter longed for.
Peter was even considering whether he should cause some trouble to temporarily turn Tony to the dark side.
Both are three times stronger when they turn evil. If Tony isn't pushed to his limits, he really won't know where his limits are.
He's Marvel's second-best celebrity after Spider-Man, what kind of nonsense is it for him to spend all his time forging iron on Earth?
Or perhaps, when Peter returns from his next business trip outside of Marvel, he can explore the multiverse with the Fantastic Four and bring Tony along as well.
Ideally, we should start a gunfight as soon as we land, and it should be a gunfight of the level of a global battle royale.
I'll pretend to be injured and not put in any effort, so Tony can experience the cruelty of the Marvel multiverse.
If you can't kill Tony, then go all out to kill him.
