Victoria Harbour.

Jiang Lai has been to this place many times. During the day, the sea and sky blend into one, and various ferries and cargo ships glide across the sea, startling a flock of seagulls.

As night falls, the neon signs of the tall buildings along the shore flicker, casting shimmering light on the sea.

The film crew was going to shoot Victoria at night.

A yacht sails on the sea in the harbor, cutting through the white waves.

Jiang Lai and Zhang Ziyi stood on the stern deck, gazing at the night view.

"Were you photographed around this area during the Chinese New Year?" Zhang Ziyi suddenly asked.

"Hey! The things you're saying are going to affect your relationship," Jiang Lai joked.

"Who said you'd be my wife?"

Zhang Ziyi secretly rejoiced, covering her mouth and chuckling to herself, completely forgetting the slight displeasure she had just felt from the scene.

Sure enough, when a man wants to coax a woman, he can instantly become a liar, and he has plenty of ways to do it.

The two were enjoying their sweet moment when director Xiao Juan Mao Te, oblivious to their surroundings, blurted out, "Jiang! Get ready to film!"

Jiang Lai clicked his tongue, thinking, "Foreigners don't understand romance."

The scenes we're filming today are all on this yacht. It's about Ricky Tan, played by Jiang Lai, hosting a party on the yacht. Officer Li, played by Cheng Long, and his partner chase after him onto the ship. They are discovered by his underlings and taken to see Ricky Tan, where they witness Ricky Tan scolding his female assassin, Hu Li. Afterward, Hu Li kills Ricky Tan.

Yes, Jiang Lai's character died after only his second appearance in the show.

With lighting, sound recording, and photography all ready, Little Curly Hair shouted "Start!"

"Action!"

Jiang Lai immediately switched into boss mode, his well-tailored suit making him look even more upright, and he walked steadily with his hands behind his back.

"Holly! You've really disappointed me!"

Zhang Ziyi lowered her head, looking like she was being scolded, but from an angle out of the camera's view, she made a face at Jiang Lai.

Jiang Lai quickly turned his head away, trying his best to suppress the corners of his mouth, his nostrils flaring.

"Have you forgotten where you came from? What, you think you're all grown up now?"

"Cut!"

The curly-haired man called for a stop, puzzled, "Jiang, you're disciplining your subordinate, why aren't you watching her?"

"Sorry, director, let's start over."

Jiang Lai moved his mouth and glared at Zhang Ziyi, who glared back with a charming smile.

"OK! Action!"

"Holly! You've disappointed me so much!"

Zhang Ziyi: (omitted)

Jiang Lai smirked again, "Have you forgotten where you came from? How come you think you're all that now? Want to fly?"

Zhang Ziyi: (omitted)

"Cut!"

The curly-haired man called for a halt again, "Jiang, you're lecturing me! Not flirting! Speak more forcefully! Add some swear words if you like!"

"Sorry, director, could you give me a few minutes?"

Jiang Lai helplessly raised his hand to gesture, pulled Zhang Ziyi aside, and whispered, "What are you doing?"

Zhang Ziyi raised her little face and said, "I'd love to!"

Knowing that she was doing it on purpose, probably because of what happened on the stern deck earlier, Jiang Lai had no choice but to speak up.

"Be serious."

"not enough!"

"What else do you want?"

"The one I mentioned a few days ago."

Jiang Lai closed his eyes, went through a fierce internal struggle, and finally gritted his teeth and agreed.

"That's more like it. Let's go."

Having achieved her goal, Zhang Ziyi playfully skipped back, leaving Jiang Lai alone in sorrow.

Eating seafood is a disgrace for a straight man!

Filming resumed.

Zhang Ziyi did indeed behave himself, bowing his head and waiting to be scolded.

Jiang Lai gritted his teeth, but didn't show it, suppressing the urge to puff out his cheeks.

"Huli! You've disappointed me so much! Have you forgotten where you came from? What, you think you're all grown up now? You want to fly away?!"

Just as they were reprimanding him, the cabin door was pushed open, and the henchmen dragged Cheng Long and Blackie out.

Jiang Lai glanced at him and shouted at Zhang Ziyi, "Get out of here!"

Zhang Ziyi retreated out of the camera's view, looking unconvinced. Jiang Lai said with a sullen face, "I hate that fucking thing."

Zhang Ziyi stared back at Jiang Lai from off-camera, and Jiang Lai quickly turned to face Cheng Long.

"Li, I'm waiting for you. Tell your partner to wait inside."

Blackie followed the man back to the cabin, and Cheng Long went up to the deck and came to Jiang Lai's side.

At this moment, the camera needs the two people to communicate face to face. In order to take care of his older brother, Jiang Lai can only stand awkwardly with his legs wide apart.

"I know what everyone's talking about, but I didn't blow up the consulate. I'm not that stupid, but I think it was my men who did it," Jiang said, reciting his lines.

As the two were talking, the cabin door suddenly opened again, and Zhang Ziyi came out with a group of his underlings.

"What are you doing!" Jiang Lai roared.

"Go to hell!" Zhang Ziyi pulled out a gun and shot Jiang Lai, though it wasn't a real gun.

Jiang Lai's scenes end here. Although it's only the Hong Kong scenes, Ricky Tan actually faked his death to escape; it was a scene he acted out with his henchman, Hu Li.

Why would a major boss need to fake his death to escape?

Doesn't this seem confusing? That's perfectly normal; popcorn movies don't need logic.

The director arranged it this way so that when Ricky Tan reappears later, the audience will be surprised with "Wow!" that he actually faked his death. Unfortunately, this kind of trope has been overdone.

Most viewers guessed it was a fake death as soon as they saw it.

The remaining scenes of Jiang Lai were just a shot of him falling to the ground and rolling into the sea, but the scene of him rolling into the sea was done by a stunt double.

They're better swimmers than Jiang Lai, and with the added safety measures, they're definitely better than Jiang Lai, who can't swim.

After much more work, the crew wrapped up filming.

Jiang Lai was dragged back to the hotel by Zhang Ziyi.

......

Cupertino, California, USA.

This is the headquarters of Apple Inc. After Steve Jobs left Apple in 1985, the company went through years of losses, at its worst losing billions of dollars.

The internet bubble hadn't even started yet, and the company's stock price had already plummeted.

Apple operates under a board-controlled model, where major company decisions and personnel appointments are made by the board, which largely maintains its independence and control.

So even though Steve Jobs was one of the founders, he was ousted from the company.

Later, the board of directors realized that this wouldn't work, that they weren't making any money, and discussed bringing Joe back.

In 1996, they brought Steve Jobs back as an advisor, and the following year appointed him as interim CEO. Now that he had made a triumphant return, shouldn't they settle accounts with him?

After taking office, Steve Jobs used a series of methods to fill the board of directors with his own people. Those who were originally in charge were told to just stay out of it and not interfere with the company's operations. In the end, Jobs took control of the company and became the de facto head of Apple.

But! Old Joe isn't a shareholder; he just chose a bunch of obedient shareholders to support him.

Look at this, this is what a shrewd capitalist is like. He can make me obey and support him, but he won't let me become a major shareholder and control us.

In short, Old Joe was all set to make a big splash, but just as things were starting to look up, the bubble burst.

It's simply too tragic to describe.

In a large conference room at Apple, there was only three people seated.

Old Joe sighed and looked helplessly at the other two people: an Asian woman and a white man. These two were Sister Ying and James.

"OK, Mr. James, I admit you've won. Now the board is full of your people, so what do you want to do? Fire me? Or sell Apple as a package deal?"

James glanced at Sister Ying and said, "We won't do anything. On the contrary, we will turn you from temporary to official CEO and give you full control of the company."

Jobs crossed his arms and looked at Yingjie meaningfully. "Oh? So my boss is this beautiful Asian lady, is that right?"

Yingjie's eyes narrowed, but before she could speak, Jobs continued, "I don't care who I work for, but I expect you to keep your word."

Finally, he stood up, placed his hands on the table, and gave a mysterious smile.

"And I want to meet my real boss!"
