Reborn in the Chinese Entertainment Industry: You're a Director, But You're a Casanova?

Liu Yuehua smiled slightly and said, "Actually, you guys can also play this game next year, but I just released it ahead of time. I've already done you a favor by doing you this."

About two hours later, the recording of the show officially began.

Edison Chen, Jay Chou, Tang Yan, Liu Yifei, and Liu Yuehua stood in a row on the stage, and the screams from the audience below almost lifted the roof off.

Apart from Tang Yan, they are basically not famous. Only a few people in the industry know Liu Yuehua. The others are the most popular male and female idols among young people today.

As Liu Yuehua predicted, the mini-game "Who is the Spy" was a huge success.

Edison Chen's poor Mandarin led to some rather absurd descriptions, resulting in him being voted out of the first round by a unanimous vote, much to the amusement of the audience.

In the latter half of the physical interactive games, the staff brought out an inflatable game prop.

"Next up is a quick reaction game. Once the game starts, the men will have to climb up this inflatable mat, overcome the obstacles, run to the end, grab the only rose, and present it to the ladies."

Teacher He announced the rules while holding a whistle.

Jay Chou stood at the front, intending to take advantage of winning the game to promote "Seven Mile Fragrance".

Toot! The whistle blew.

Liu Yuehua also participated in the game. Taking advantage of his long legs and good physique, he ran fast and took the lead, overcoming obstacles and being the first to reach the finish line.

As a result, Edison Chen, who was behind him, got anxious and fell headfirst, causing the inflatable prop to bounce up and down.

Just as Liu Yuehua was about to grab the rose, he lost his balance and accidentally knocked the rose away.

A gasp rippled through the crowd, as people thought the flower was about to fall to the ground.

At that moment, Liu Yifei, who was standing next to her, displayed the top-notch physical reactions of a female warrior, which she had honed while filming Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils.

Her eyes sharpened, and she took a graceful half-step forward, her right hand making a precise scoop in mid-air to catch the falling rose.

Just as the audience below the stage was getting ready to cheer for the fairy sister's quick reaction, an unexpected and dramatic scene unfolded the next second.

Liu Yifei didn't keep the flower for herself, nor did she strike a winning pose for the camera. Instead, she turned around, with a touch of girlish arrogance, and casually handed the rose directly to Liu Yuehua.

Here, take it.

Liu Yifei slightly raised her chin, and even with her face turned to the side, the brightness in her eyes was still undeniable.

An unintentional mistake sent the rose flying, but she caught it with stunning grace, culminating in a sweet gesture of presenting the flower in reverse.

This series of moves, completely unscripted, created the tension and suspense of an idol drama within seconds.

Wow!

The audience in the studio reacted quickly and then erupted into a cacophony of shouts that threatened to tear the roof off.

The DNA of CP fans beat wildly at this moment.

The stage, a place of fame and fortune, instantly turned into a battlefield. Tang Yan stood next to Liu Yifei, watching this domineering move that won over fans, and then looked at Liu Yuehua holding flowers. She was so angry that she bit her lip and stomped her feet.

She was jealous; her thunder had been stolen.

Chen Guanxi pulled Liu Yuehua up by the leg and shouted, seemingly enjoying the spectacle:

"Takumi, your Natsuki is jealous."

The most helpless one was Jay Chou, who was running at the very back. He was still in the position of preparing to grab the flowers, watching the romantic commotion on the stage that had completely gone out of control. He exuded a kind of cute and desolate feeling.

Teacher He and Xie Na were laughing so hard they were doubled over. Xie Na pointed directly at Jay Chou and loudly complained to the camera.

"It's over. Jay Chou worked hard all day to promote his new song, but the female lead in his movie got jealous of Director Liu, and the female lead in the music video gave flowers to Director Liu. Jay Chou's work was all for nothing."

Jay Chou's efforts were all for nothing again.

This witty and sarcastic remark had the audience laughing so hard they almost cried.

Jay Chou could only helplessly shrug at the camera and silently walk back behind the crowd.

Standing in the center of the stage, Liu Yuehua held the rose that Liu Yifei had handed to him.

As an old man who always prioritizes mutual benefit and maintains emotional stability, he was somewhat moved by the commotion from the audience and Liu Yifei's blatant favoritism.

He could foresee that this variety show would achieve extremely high ratings and push the popularity and chemistry of "Initial D" to a climax across the entire internet.

Even Xie Na's helpless lament that Jay Chou had worked for nothing became a viral marketing meme on the internet.

……

Three days later, on Saturday.

Tsai Yinong is waiting.

She is a shrewd businesswoman who started her career in the Hong Kong film and television industry and later moved to the mainland to establish Sugarman Films.

She absolutely did not believe that a new director with a background in commercial films would dare to break ties with Sugarman's top-tier television resources just to gamble on an unknown art film.

She's betting that Liu Yuehua's "Initial D" premiere tonight will be a complete flop.

If this bumper car movie, crammed with expressionless actors, is slammed by mainland film critics and audiences, Liu Yuehua's financial lifeline and business reputation will instantly collapse.

At that time, he will naturally obediently send Liu Yifei to the Legend of Sword and Fairy drama crew.

At 8 PM, it's the premiere of Initial D. And in a little while, Happy Camp will begin.

Tonight's red carpet was a battleground without gunfire.

In the screening room, Cai Yinong, accompanied by Li Guoli, the chief director of Sugar Man, coldly observed this grand event.

The dozen or so hired guns and film critics sent by Old Lu and his group had long been scattered in every corner of the screening room, ready to carry out their self-righteous sense of justice.

However, when they started walking the red carpet, all their mainland counterparts who were waiting to see them make a fool of themselves gasped in shock.

The first person to walk the red carpet was Peter Lam, the boss of Asia Films, a financial giant in the Hong Kong film industry.

Although Hong Kong cinema was already in decline at this time.

However, Hong Kong's big capital still wields absolute influence in the mainland entertainment industry.

The core competitiveness of Sugarman Films, founded by Cai Yinong and Li Guoli, lies in packaging Hong Kong and Taiwan crews to film TV dramas in mainland China.

In the presence of Peter Lam, a powerful figure who controls the lifeline of Hong Kong film distribution, Sugar Man was at best an outsourced workshop.

Mr. Lin actually came to Beijing in person to support a new director?

When Li Guoli and Cai Yinong heard the news from outside, their expressions changed instantly.

What made Tsai Yinong even more uneasy was what Peter Lam said to the reporters with their cameras and microphones in the media interview area.

"Director Liu is our most important strategic partner in the mainland, and even in the entire Hong Kong film industry."

Lin Jianyue spoke with a strong Hong Kong accent, his tone revealing the arrogance of capital.

"Initial D is just the beginning. As long as Director Liu asks, the doors of Huan Ya are always open for him."

As he spoke, he seemed to hear something and turned around.
