Simultaneously traversing from the beginning of the rampage in Konoha

Uchiha Owl wasn't surprised by this. Having already learned about these things from Orochimaru's memories, he merely found it somewhat novel.

"The experimental results are so unstable, and the research on the cursed seal has only just begun."

After glancing at these bizarre experimental subjects, Uchiha Owl curiously delved into Orochimaru's knowledge base.

"Although the technology was developed based on Sage Mode, the underlying concept has changed to allow the body to actively adapt to natural energy."

"It almost completely abandons the changes targeting chakra."

Thinking of this, Uchiha Owl suddenly had a flash of inspiration.

"Would using the cursed seal in conjunction with Sage Mode have a better effect?"

"Sage Mode chakra combined with Cursed Seal for a body mutation...tsk, this sounds promising!"

However, although Uchiha Owl was somewhat tempted, now was not the time to engage in such research.

Continuing forward, after passing through several laboratories, each with its own purpose, we finally arrived at our destination.

The cold white light shone on the stark white floor, giving the entire laboratory an extremely cold and eerie feeling.

Turn left upon entering, and you'll see a metal shelf filled with palm-sized culture jars.

"We've collected quite a few samples, and the quality is pretty good."

Looking at the data labeled on the culture tank, Uchiha Owl couldn't help but sigh.

He picked up the culture jar and examined it in his hand.

"Tsuchida Village, Iwagakure ninja, Chunin, died in Konoha 42, cell activity is normal."

"Flying Fish Manzo, a ninja from Amegakure, a Chunin, died in Konoha 53 years ago, with excellent cell activity."

"Senju Xia Ling, a Konoha ninja, an elite Jonin, died in Konoha 29 years ago, with extremely low cell activity."

"Orochimaru is preparing for immortality so early?!"

"Back then, he wouldn't have been able to undergo Edo Tensei yet!"

Uchiha Owl was surprised, but his heart sank even further. The specially marked cell activity was clearly one of the key criteria for Edo Tensei.

However, the only sources of DNA for the father and mother were hair and nail fragments that were deliberately collected during their childhood.

After all, not to mention that collecting flesh and blood tissue would attract unnecessary suspicion and trouble, even collecting the easiest material, oral mucosa, is fraught with difficulties.

Furthermore, he could not have predicted that fate would play such a cruel joke on him when he was only four years old.

Even if enough samples were obtained at the time, after four years, without sufficient means of preservation, their value would be no different from that of a single strand of hair.

According to the memories in the knowledge base, even Orochimaru had never used such inferior materials.

Uchiha Owl suddenly felt uneasy, and even his steps forward became hesitant.

"Give it a try, it's better than nothing."

Taking several deep breaths, Uchiha Owl suppressed the unease in his heart.

Continuing forward, he came to several empty, specially made coffins. He raised his hand and released a patch of darkness, which transformed into a large hand that grabbed a test subject who had been completely anesthetized on the other side of the room.

The reason they are anesthetized is, of course, because they are convenient to use and easy to manage.

As for whether this person is innocent or not, let alone whether Uchiha Owl cares or not.

Even if you care, how many ninjas in this world haven't killed anyone or harmed innocent people?

Even among ordinary people, how many are truly kind?

Clearly, Uchiha Owl would not extend his kindness to complete strangers.

bang~

As the experimental subject fell into the coffin like a corpse and lay flat, a soft sound rang out, and the coffin lid closed, sealing the experimental subject inside.

Uchiha Owl concentrated for a moment, then opened the culture jar in his hand.

The pale green nutrient solution poured through the gaps between the fingers, and a clump of pale pink flesh and blood landed in the palm of the hand, twitching slightly with some vitality.

Place the empty jar on the table to the side, and with two fingers of your right hand held together like a sword, slice a small piece of meat off the piece of meat.

Then put the remaining meat pieces into the culture tank that has already lost its nutrient solution, and wait a while before using it.

Yin-Si-Xu-Chen……

Place the slice of meat in the center of the coffin lid, quickly form hand seals, and finally put your hands together in prayer position.

"Summoning Jutsu: Impure World Reincarnation!"

The still-twitching mass of flesh shuddered violently for a moment.

Then it slowly melted away, turning into countless tiny, tadpole-like, jet-black, wrinkled runes, which slid and scattered around the coffin lid as if they were alive.

In just a few seconds, these pitch-black "tadpoles" sealed the entire coffin like a chain.

Rumble~~

The heavy coffin lid slid open slowly, the sound much more hesitant than when it was closed, as if some force was resisting the opening of the coffin lid.

When the coffin lid slid open halfway, the sound suddenly became smooth again.

"As expected, it failed."

By simply copying and replicating, the experience gained from Orochimaru would be similar, making it difficult to continue the ninjutsu halfway through.

Furthermore, all consumables used are completely scrapped.

This coffin, too, cannot be used anymore.

Uchiha Owl took two steps forward and gently placed his hand on the coffin, which still appeared normal on the outside.

In an instant, the coffin and the experimental subject inside turned into grayish-white dust, which collapsed and flew in all directions.

Looking at the white dust that filled the air, Uchiha Owl waved his hand in disgust, scattering the dust that was rushing towards him.

Then, darkness was used to gather them all together, solidifying them into a stone ball the size of a billiard ball, which was then tossed aside and left to roll on the ground.

"This time we were halfway to success, but the flesh and blood tissue didn't have enough pull on the soul."

"It seems we can't use it directly; just having the activity isn't enough. It needs special processing."

"Attracting souls... Let's try using Yin Release chakra."

Although Orochimaru had also tried using Yin Release chakra, Uchiha Owl decided to repeat the experiment himself to see how it worked.

Following the same method, they grabbed a test subject and placed it in the coffin next to them, then cut off another thick slice of meat and placed it in their palm.

Then, tiny, dark purple shadows emerged from his palm and rapidly eroded his flesh and tissue.

Yin-Si-Xu-Chen……

"Summoning Jutsu: Impure World Reincarnation!"

This bold attempt, however, did not yield ideal results; this time, the runes failed to even cover the coffin before collapsing completely.

The only good news is that the coffin can still be used.

"We can't deny that Yin Escape is ineffective; it's probably because the amount of erosion is too great."

The operation was repeated, but this time the amount of Yin Release chakra released was less than one percent of the previous amount.

Moreover, just in case, the coffin that Uchiha Owl had left behind was destroyed, and a coffin that had not yet been opened was used instead.

"Summoning Jutsu: Impure World Reincarnation!"

The pitch-black "tadpole" successfully sealed the coffin.

Just like last time, the rumbling sound abruptly stopped halfway through.

It seems that Yin Release doesn't have much of a need for this ninjutsu.

However, Uchiha Owl could clearly sense that a strange soul fluctuation had quietly emerged in the coffin for a moment.

"It's good that it works."

Uchiha Owl repeated the operation, using ten times the amount of Yin Release chakra as before.

Unexpectedly, the Impure World Reincarnation still came to an abrupt end halfway through.

That soul fluctuation did not linger for much longer.

"It's not that easy to complete after all, otherwise Orochimaru wouldn't still be working on the Impure World Reincarnation research."
