Time Travel 04: I Fight the US in the Middle East

A series of past events kept surfacing in Colin Powell's mind.

He was born in New York in 1937. Although he experienced World War II during his childhood, he didn't have much of an impression of it. On the contrary, he grew up during a period when the United States was booming!

After World War II ended, Europe was devastated, and the elites and wealth went to the United States, which then ushered in a period of rapid development!

He loved being a soldier since he was a child. When he was in college, he joined the Reserve Officers Training Corps and was later sent to Germany to serve on the front line of the Cold War confrontation. He went to Vietnam twice to fight. He has been through so many ups and downs and has been promoted continuously!

In 1987, he became President Reagan's National Security Advisor. In 1989, he was appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff by George H.W. Bush, a four-star general. Then came Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kotler, and the era of Colin Powell began!

It was his power that propelled the United States to make the decision to send troops, and he also formulated the strategic principle: strengthening the choice strategy! The Gulf War became Colin Powell's stage, and he received the highest honor in the United States: the Medal of Honor.

In 1993, Colin Powell retired. If he had stayed put and published a few books, it would have been a decent end to his career. Unfortunately, George W. Bush came to power and chose the same team that his father had built. But times had changed. The Soviet Union had collapsed, the United States had become the sole superpower in the world, and the United States was now dominated by hawks.

In George W. Bush's administration, Colin Powell was the only moderate, so much so that he was often looked down upon by the hardline generals, who felt he was out of touch with the times. Colin Powell could only try his best to fit in with them and do what he was supposed to do as Secretary of State.

For example, the fabrication of the laundry detergent incident at the United Nations became the biggest stain on his life. Now, the whole world knows that Colin Powell used a tube of laundry detergent to commit perjury and launch the Iraqi-Camel War!

The war in 2003 alone resulted in 100,000 Iraqi casualties! Among them, tens of thousands were directly killed by the US military! Hundreds of journalists were also killed!

Not to mention the war is not over yet, and there are still casualties here!

And the culprit who started this war, Colin Powell, is also going to die. Will his soul go to heaven?

Of course not! He'll be haunted by the 100,000 vengeful ghosts here!

Scenes from his life flashed before his eyes, but what remained in the final frame was his childhood. As a child, he wasn't particularly bright; he was even in a slow-paced class. But he was a gentle, obedient, and good child...

How wonderful it would be if people never grew up!

boom!

The second Swallow-2 drone swooped down again and crashed hard into the already blown-up Mercedes S600 armored car!

With that explosion, the entire bulletproof car was reduced to fragments, which flew outwards in all directions!

There couldn't possibly be a single living person inside the car, and it's even impossible to find a complete body!

The entire convoy was completely dumbfounded!

Despite their tight security, they were still attacked! And... the vehicle carrying a high-ranking official was hit!

Colin Powell, Richard Armitage, Paul Bremer... all died in the explosion!

"Oh, no!"

At this moment, countless people roared in anger, while others looked up at the sky, wondering where the Apache helicopter was.

What are those Apache helicopters that were supposed to be protecting us doing?

Howard and Gabriel also heard the explosion from the ground, and when they turned around... they realized they had made the stupidest mistake of their lives; they had been lured away from their prey!

If they are still in formation, even if they collide, they should knock the attacking drones away beforehand!

Moreover, the moment they make a move, the anti-aircraft weapons in the ground convoy will react immediately, and now…

The opponent used a very clever tactic!

Use one drone to draw the Apache's attention, then launch an attack with the other two drones! The high-ranking official's location has been precisely pinpointed; a single, decisive blow is all it takes!

Now that the target has been bombed, everyone is feeling frustrated and has lost the will to continue fighting!

The person I was trying to protect has been killed in the explosion!

Howard and Gabriel's minds were also blank. They just stared blankly at the pile of burning wreckage on the ground, wondering what kind of punishment they would face if they went back. They didn't know that they could never go back!

The drone that had caught their attention in the sky suddenly turned around and crashed hard into one of their short wings!

boom!

Amid the explosions, the anti-tank missile and rocket launchers on one of the Apache's short wing pylons were detonated almost simultaneously! A series of explosions followed one after another.

Boom! Boom boom!

As the secondary explosion occurred, countless shrapnel flew out and struck the side of the Apache's fuselage, shattering the glass instantly. Then... fragments and flames rushed into the cabin together!

The Apache is known as a flying tank, with strong protection, but... that protection is selective. The belly and nose are the most heavily protected, and the cockpit front is made of bulletproof glass.

The side fuselage also features a multi-layered composite bulletproof structure, including Kevlar, polyurethane bulletproof foam, and an aluminum alloy body... It can withstand 12.7mm heavy machine gun bullets without any problem.

However... the observation windows on both sides of the cockpit are just simple single-layer acrylic glass, which can be penetrated even by an AK47 at close range, not to mention the ammunition from a side-mounted weapon explosion. In fact, even the explosion of 40 kilograms of explosives from the drone could blow it up!

It's just to make the ammunition detonation a little more perfect!

At that moment, everyone in the convoy was complaining about the Apache, but the next moment... they watched as the drone chased after the Apache and delivered a fatal blow!

This is insane...

Apache got blown up too!

The propellers were blown off, and the fuselage was burning. Even if this helicopter landed, it would be smashed into pieces, and there wouldn't be many intact parts! As for the people inside... they probably wouldn't even be left with a complete corpse!

In the older Mercedes-Benz S-Class behind him, Gazi-Yavar was still shaken.

When the bulletproof Mercedes in front was blown up, his driver slammed on the brakes and simultaneously swerved the steering wheel to the far right lane, perfectly avoiding the debris from the bulletproof Mercedes!

We also have to thank Saddam Hussein for his massive infrastructure development back then, which resulted in some of the country's highways being of very high standard! This airport expressway is even an eight-lane highway in both directions! They were just in the far left lane, and now they've moved to the far right, perfectly avoiding a collision!

Secondly, I'm grateful for the Americans' indifference. If he had also been on a bulletproof Mercedes, he wouldn't even have a trace left!

After feeling relieved, I was filled with lingering fear, and after that fear came a headache. I have no idea who did this; it's like stirring up a hornet's nest!
