Game of Thrones: Dragons have three heads, not three-headed dragons.

Chapter 62 The Sorcerer's Arrival from Qarth, and His Purpose

After sending the letter, Oris enjoyed a rare moment of leisure. Even though the war was still ongoing, domestic policies were being implemented in an orderly manner, and the new school city in Three Dragons City was under construction at an accelerated pace. If nothing unexpected happened, the war against Braavos should end this year.

In Westeros, Robb had already captured Jaime, while Renly continued to hold his tournaments in the Reach and mingled with Loras Tyrell.

Aside from checking on the white eagle eggs, Oris watched his dragons and wyverns play. The three dragons had grown to the size of large dogs, and Oris could no longer hold them all at the same time. The parasitic dragon Koro, the mosasaur Nam (the water goddess in Sumerian mythology), and the pterosaur Rodan had all grown rapidly, but even Koro, the first to be born, had only grown to the size of a medium-sized dog.

In addition to strengthening his connection with the three dragons using the Dragon Soul Charm, Oris also tested the abilities of the three wyverns. The Paralyzing Dragon could release paralyzing electricity through its mane, the Mosasaurus had deadly fangs in its mouth, and the Pteranodon could not only fly faster than the Peregrine Falcon, but its body could also withstand dragon fire.

While Oris was still engrossed in his research on dragons, a guard brought him a peculiar invitation from a region Oris had never imagined: Qarth. To Oris's even greater surprise, Qarth had sent Paiya-Puri, a sorcerer Daenerys knew from the story. Oris met Paiya-Puri in the garden; he was a thin, pale-skinned old man with blue lips.

Upon seeing Oris, Paiya-Puri immediately prostrated himself and shouted, "Honorable Father of Dragons, your servant, the sorcerer Paiya-Puri, has come to pay his respects." Oris listened to the flattery without batting an eye, but in reality, he was almost dying of embarrassment for the other man.

Others might not know Paiya-Puri's purpose in coming, but how could Oris not know? This guy came for Oris's dragon. He just didn't know how confident the other party was in being able to lure Oris and the dragon to Qarth. Thinking of this, Oris took a step forward. "Get up, wizard, and tell me your purpose."

As soon as Oris finished speaking, Paiya-Puri stood up, but still maintained a humble demeanor. Just as Oris was about to press further, Paiya-Puri spoke up, "The Thirteen Giants, the Tourmaline Brotherhood, and the Spice Guild have learned that you are about to unify Eastern Essos and have sent me to communicate with you. They hope you will come to Qarth, where we will receive you with the highest honors and clear any obstacles along your path so that you can conquer Valantis."

Pai-Puri almost made Oris laugh in anger after he finished speaking. He didn't know how the other party could come up with such a clumsy deception. Not to mention that Oris knew that Volantis was almost one of the most difficult cities for Essos to attack. Oris had never intended to take Volantis in the first place, after all, it was adjacent to the Smoky Sea and could be swept into the Smoky Sea's uprising at any time.

Furthermore, the disputed lands where Oris is located are separated from Qarth by Slaver's Bay. With the current level of technology, even if Oris conquers Slaver's Bay, it would probably take Oris's army two or three months to receive news of a rebellion. What benefit would that bring to Oris?

Oris stared silently at Paiya-Puri, trying to see if the other truly considered him a fool. After a long while, Paiya-Puri, seeing that Oris didn't respond, knew in his heart that Oris had probably seen through his clumsy lie. He immediately knelt again, "This was all the Thirteen Giants' idea. They hope you can maintain the trade routes between the Three Daughters Kingdom and the East. Inviting you was only for negotiations on trade routes and tax rates. I personally have no designs on you." Paiya-Puri then crawled forward two more steps, "I've also brought you several slaves this time. They are carefully selected bed slaves and battle slaves from Astapor and Meereen, hoping to gain your understanding."

Oris became interested after hearing Paiya-Puri's words. He had seen many slaves in the fortress before Daeron, but he had never seen the selected slaves of Stabo and Meereen. This made Oris's heart itch. Seeing that Oris was interested, Paiya-Puri immediately took out the list of slaves from his bosom. Oris asked Qyburn to pick up the paper, while he looked at it from a distance. He couldn't tell anything special from the names until he saw the name Missandei. He immediately sent someone to find this slave named Missandei.

The guard returned less than fifteen minutes later with Missandei. Oris was about to examine her when he quickly lost interest. This Missandei wasn't the tall, beautiful woman he'd imagined from television dramas; instead, she had a flat, round face, dark skin, and looked to be only about ten years old. Oris stared into her golden eyes and asked, "Your name is Missandei, and you're from Nas Island? Was your former master named Krazni-mo-Nacroz?"

Missandei didn't know how the Emperor of the New Valyrian Empire knew about her situation, and just nodded blankly. When Oris saw this, he understood that this was not the Missandei from the TV series, but the Missandei from the original book.

Thinking about this, Oris wasn't too disappointed. She was indeed a gentle and wise girl. Oris originally wanted to send her to Daenerys' side, but after thinking about it, he decided to hand her over to Senilla. After all, Daenerys had Daren, while Senilla, as his sister, didn't really have anyone reliable by her side.

After making his decision, Oris glanced at the slave soldiers and maids brought by Paiya-Puri. Perhaps Oris's standards had risen, but he found the women rather ordinary. However, there were a few decent war slaves. After ordering them to be incorporated into the army, Oris turned to Paiya-Puri, who was still kneeling, and said, "The gifts have been delivered. You can go back and report to the merchants of Qarth. The tax rate of the New Valyrian Empire will remain unchanged for the time being, and I will do my best to maintain trade routes."

After speaking, Oris's gaze remained on Paiya-Puri. Oris knew that the old man's purpose in coming here was definitely not simple, and Paiya-Puri did not disappoint Oris. He looked up and said, "On my way to the New Valyrian Empire, I heard that His Majesty has brought the dragons back to the human world. I wonder if I will have the opportunity to pay homage to the dragons."

After listening, Oris leaned back slightly, finally understanding Paiya-Puri's true purpose. In the original story, the warlock of the Temple of the Immortals had sent this guy and Zaro to deceive Daenerys's dragons, and now they were trying to deceive Oris as well. Oris remained outwardly calm, simply nodding with a smile.
