Yu-Gi-Oh!: Don't you have your own cards?

During this season, the town of Domino enjoys abundant sunshine, but it doesn't feel unbearably hot.

It has to be said that Kaiba's decision to hold Duel City at this time couldn't be more fitting.

"Hey! This one's good! This one's not bad either~"

In a duel arena, You Tian picked through the bag of "stolen goods" and took out a few cards to add to his deck.

"It's okay!"

He closed his backpack with satisfaction and put the deck back into the Duel Disk.

"Sister Wu, do you really want to duel with me?"

The peacock dancer across the field opened its slightly closed eyes.

"What, do you have any reservations about dueling me?"

You Tian pursed his lips.

"Alright then, there's no point in saying more, let's begin."

"Duel!!" x2

【Travel Time Passage: 4000】

【Peacock Dance LP: 4000】

You Tian: "I'll go first!"

"Draw a card!"

"I activate the Spell Card 'Pot of Greed' from my hand, and draw two cards from my Deck."

You Tian glanced at the card he had drawn.

"I will activate this card from my hand again, [Demon's Dressing Room]."

"Based on the effect, I pay 800 Life Points, flip 4 cards from the top of my Deck, and Special Summon 4 Level 3 or lower Normal Monsters from them to my field."

[Travel Time Limit: 4000 → 3200]

Four cards are revealed from the top of the deck.

"My luck was so-so."

"I Special Summon this Normal Monster in Defense Position."

[Thousand-Eyed Cult God] [Defense Strength: 0]

"Next, I activated the spell card, 'Angel's Charity,' drawing three cards from my deck and discarding two."

The second of three draws by You Tian.

"This monster was among the discarded cards."

You Tian turned the discarded "Three-Eyed Monster" towards the Peacock Dance.

"When the Three-Eyed Monster enters the Graveyard, I can retrieve one monster with 1500 or less ATK from my Deck."

"I searched for 【Melguido the Four-Faced Beast】."

"Next, I'll Normal Summon this card to the field!"

[Melguido the Four-Faced Beast] [Attack Power: 1500]

Yu Tian once again turned one of his monster cards towards Peacock Dance.

"I can Special Summon any two monsters I control, including [Melguido the Four-Faced Beast], by Tributing this [Masked Beast Death Guardian]!"

"I sacrifice [Melguido the Four-Faced Beast] and [Cult Master of a Thousand Eyes] to Special Summon [Masked Beast Death Guardian]!"

Attack Power: 3300

Kong Quewu frowned.

"A monster with an attack power of 3300 right off the bat!"

You Tian: "I'll place another card face down, and the turn ends."

Kong Quewu nodded.

"Not bad, You Tian, you're very impressive. You managed to summon a high-level monster in the first round."

"However, the final outcome of a duel cannot be judged solely by a temporary advantage!"

"My turn, draw a card!"

Peacock Dance's gaze swept over her hand of cards.

"I summon this card from my hand, [Amazonian Fighter] is in Attack Position."

Attack Power: 1500

"Yuten, I will not take battle damage when this card is used in battle."

"Next, I will activate this card from my hand and equip it with the spell 'The Secret Treasure of the Amazons'."

[Effect: Only monsters with "Amazon" in their name can be equipped. The equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle once per turn. If the equipped monster attacks, the monster that was attacked is destroyed after damage calculation.]

You Tian narrowed his eyes slightly.

"A combo to deal with high-level monsters!"

"That's right, [Amazonian Fighter] can protect me from battle damage; [Amazonian Treasure] can eliminate one of your monsters while protecting the battle monsters."

"Let's fight!"

"I'm attacking your Masked Beast Death Guardian with [Amazonian Fighter]!"

As the order was given, the muscular fighters charged toward the enormous monster, and the two monsters were about to engage in a fierce battle.

You Tian: "That won't do!"

"I activate Gevoka, Quick-Attack Spell [Mysterious Chinese Wok]!"

Peacock Dance: "What?!"

Yu Tian: "Based on the effect of this card, I can tribute one of my monsters to restore its ATK or DEF equal to the value of that monster."

"I sacrifice the [Masked Beast Death Guardian] on the field to restore its attack power."

Suddenly, a huge wok appeared on the field. The ferocious beast, which was about to attack the fighter with its claws, slipped and fell into the wok in terror.

The wok was constantly being stirred, and in no time at all, a fresh plate of Masked Warcraft feast was ready.

[Travel Time Limit: 3200 → 6500]

"Not bad, Yuten. However, now that the Masked Beast Death Guardian has disappeared, I can use the Amazonian Fighter to attack your other Overlay Monster!"

A slight smile appeared on You Tian's lips.

"No, that won't work, Sister Wu."

Peacock Dance: ?

Just then, as [Masked Beast Death Guardian] entered the graveyard, a terrifying and ugly mask instantly flew out of Yutian's deck and was placed directly on the face of [Amazonian Fighter].

"When 【Masked Beast Deathbringer】 is sent from the field to the Graveyard, I can equip one 【Masked of Death】 from my Deck to a monster on your field."

"Control over monsters equipped with the [Mask of Last Words] will be transferred to me!"

Peacock Dance: "What?! It even has a 'last words' effect?!"

The peacock dance's surprise did not stop the Amazonian warriors from "rebelling."

The masked fighter rushed towards its new master without hesitation.

Peacock Dance let out a soft breath.

"You Tian, you're really amazing."

You Tian raised his head and looked at the peacock dance, remaining silent for a moment.

"Sister Wu, why do you want to duel with me?" Finally, You Tian asked the question he had been wanting to ask.

Peacock Dance's eyes sparkled as she looked back at this friend she had only recently met.

"Yuten, how far do you think Jonouchi will go on the path of a duelist?"

You Tian rubbed his chin.

"It's probably...very far?"

Peacock Dance's eyes were slightly lowered.

"From a young age, I have held a firm belief that a duelist's path is always one he must walk on his own."

"This belief stayed with me for many years, until... I met Jonouchi and the Yugi guys."

"At that time, he was still a complete novice when it came to dueling."

You Tian remained silent.

"At first, I didn't understand what they meant by 'the power of friendship' and 'the power of unity,' and I scoffed at it."

"But I gradually discovered that the guy who used to be a complete novice was starting to catch up with me."

"Just like you said, Jonouchi might go very far on the path of dueling."

"Even further than me."

The peacock danced with its head bowed.

"Will I be able to keep up with him by then?"

The heavens are silent.

After a long while, the peacock dance finally raised its head.

"However, this young lady is not the type to back down in the face of difficulties!"

"You Tian, you're amazing! I can tell from your eyes! You're a very skilled duelist!"

"So come on, let me see where my limits are!"

You Tian was slightly lost in thought.

"The limit...?"

A moment later, a smile appeared on his lips.

"good!"

Peacock Dance: "Then, the battle resumes!"

"My turn isn't over yet!"

"I activate the Spell Card from my hand, 【Demon Bird Feather Duster】! Destroy 【Mask of Last Words】 on your field."

As she spoke, a tornado shot out from the card in the dancer's hand, swirling up the [Mask of Last Words].

Having lost the equipment card, the Amazonian Fighter naturally returned to the Peacock Dance arena.

"Next, I'll place another card face down, and the round ends!"

You Tian: "Sister Wu, well done! You successfully neutralized my trump card monster."

The peacock dance was slightly smug.

"Hmph! This young lady's dueling skills aren't bad either!"

"Quickly, keep attacking!"

"Let's get this straight! You can't let me off the hook!"

You Tian smiled.

"Of course, I won't hold back in a duel!"

"However, I also need to make this clear beforehand: you can't be angry after I'm done!"

Kong Quewu raised an eyebrow.

"Angry? Who do you take me for? I'm not the kind of person who can't accept defeat."

"Besides! You might not even be able to beat me!"

"Besides, your trump card is gone. So, how are you going to attack now?"

You Tian flashed a bright, sunny smile. "Then you'd better keep a close eye on things!"

"My turn, draw a card."

"I activate the equipment spell from my hand, 'Premature Burial,' paying 800 life points to revive a monster in my graveyard."

[Travel Time LP: 6500→5700]

Peacock Dance: "Masaka!"

"That's right, the one I resurrected is none other than the [Masked Beast Death Guardian]."

Attack Power: 3300

The ferocious beast rose from the dead once more, its ferocity made even more grotesque by death.

Warcraft stared at the fighter opposite him, as if to say: You're the one who got me thrown into the oil cauldron, aren't you!

Peacock Dance felt a bit of pressure.

"It's alright, I still have [Amazonian Fighter] on the field. This round, I can still defend against one more attack."

You Tian's lips curled into a wicked smile.

"That's not necessarily true."

Peacock Dance: ?

"I activate the Spell Card 'Advanced Draw' from my hand. By sacrificing one Level 8 or higher monster on my field, I can draw two cards from my Deck."

Peacock Dance: !

Masked Beast: ...

Whether it was a misperception or not, You Tian seemed to see shock and confusion on the face of a monster.
