Douluo Continent: Huo Yuhao's Path of the Knights

The next day, Huo Yuhao, who had quickly passed the Level 3 Soul Master assessment, headed to Teacher Zhang's office.

Teacher Zhang Hong told him that he should go find him after becoming a Level 3 Soul Master.

Normally speaking, it would be a perfectly normal thing for Huo Yuhao to seek out Teacher Zhang.

Just thinking about what the white-haired young lady had told him yesterday made Huo Yuhao a little worried.

If the dean finds out about my situation, then Teacher Zhang will most likely find out as well.

He had considered this possibility; from the day he decided to make money from grilled fish, Huo Yuhao was prepared for it.

However, Huo Yuhao was still somewhat uneasy at the thought that he would most likely face questioning from Teacher Zhang.

Taking a deep breath to calm his slightly tense heart, Huo Yuhao continued walking towards Teacher Zhang's office.

Standing in front of the office door, Huo Yuhao knocked on it.

"Please come in."

Pushing open the door, Huo Yuhao saw Teacher Zhang sitting at her desk, her expression as usual.

Teacher Zhang doesn't seem to know anything about what's going on.

"You passed the Level 3 Soul Master assessment?"

Zhang Hong spoke calmly, as if asking about something ordinary.

"Yes, teacher, I have become a formal Level 3 Soul Master."

"Very good. Now that you've become a Level 3 Soul Master, come with me. I'll take you to meet your future teacher."

Zhang Hong got up, walked to the door, and left the office first.

Huo Yuhao followed closely behind.

Throughout the journey, Huo Yuhao carefully observed Teacher Zhang Hong's expression, but Teacher Zhang remained calm and composed, and Huo Yuhao couldn't discern anything from it.

Does Teacher Zhang really not know?

While Huo Yuhao was still puzzled, Teacher Zhang, who was walking in front, suddenly spoke up:

"The grilled fish is selling pretty well, isn't it, Yuhao?"

The sudden question made Huo Yuhao tremble.

"I heard your grilled fish is selling very well. Many students in the college have gone to buy your grilled fish, and those who have tried it all say it tastes excellent."

"Teacher Zhang, I..."

Before Huo Yuhao could finish speaking, Zhang Hong spoke again;

"You must have made a lot of money selling so many grilled fish!"

"I……"

"Do you know, Yuhao, because of your secret selling of grilled fish, the dean scolded me for a full half hour."

"I'm sorry, Teacher Zhang, I know I was wrong!"

Zhang Hong stopped, turned around, looked at Huo Yuhao's guilty face, and sighed deeply:

"Yuhao, it's not that I forbid you from buying grilled fish. I understand you, and I know you must have your reasons for doing it. But next time, could you please tell me before you do something...?"

Zhang Hong paused for a moment, then continued:

"I forgot, didn't you tell me? You should tell your new teacher later."

"I'm sorry, Teacher Zhang, I know I was wrong!"

After glancing at Huo Yuhao, who was eager to admit his mistake, Zhang Hong subconsciously recalled the situation where the other party had apologized in his office not long ago.

How long has it been?

This is another apology.

"You're quick to admit your mistakes, but I never see you actually change anything..."

Zhang Hong muttered something under his breath, then shook his head slightly and took another step.

……

Zhang Hong led Huo Yuhao to the dean's office.

Upon entering the dean's office, Huo Yuhao immediately noticed the short, stout old man.

This is Jing Hongchen, the Dean of the Sun Moon Royal Soul Guidance Academy and the current Head of the Mingde Hall.

Huo Yuhao was deeply moved when he saw Dean Hongchen for the first time.

"Dean, Yuhao has already become a Level 3 Soul Master."

"Zhang Hong, step aside. I need to ask what our peerless genius from the Sun Moon Royal Soul Guidance Academy is thinking. Why does he suddenly want to sell grilled fish?"

Jing Hongchen's gaze remained fixed on Huo Yuhao.

The dean's gaze made Huo Yuhao a little nervous, but he quickly saw Dean Jing Hongchen chuckle and shake his head, speaking half-jokingly:

"Two unparalleled geniuses from the Sun Moon Royal Soul Guidance Academy went out to sell grilled fish together because they didn't have enough resources..."

As she spoke, Jing Hongchen suddenly turned to look at Zhang Hong beside her, her expression turning serious:

"It's all your fault, Zhang Hong! Why didn't you discover Huo Yuhao and the others' situation sooner, making those two geniuses waste their time selling grilled fish! How absurd, how ridiculous! Where will our Sun Moon Royal Soul Guidance Academy's reputation be if word gets out?"

Zhang Hong: "..."

Zhang Hong, who had been scolded countless times yesterday, simply nodded mechanically, his expression unchanged.

Seeing that Teacher Zhang Hong was being scolded again, Huo Yuhao hurriedly tried to explain to the dean, but the dean waved his hand:

"I don't know what you're thinking, but I'm telling you, Yuhao, if you want to sell grilled fish or sell soul tools privately in the future, you can try selling them to the academy."

"How much is your grilled fish? How much is your soul tool? The academy can buy it for ten times, a hundred times, or even a thousand times the price. Even if it costs hundreds of thousands of gold soul coins, the academy can agree to it."

"Even if you don't want money and want to barter, the academy can offer you rare and precious ingredients in exchange. After all, this fish was grilled by one of our academy's top geniuses, so even if the price is high, it's acceptable."

Huo Yuhao's eyes widened at Dean Jing Hongchen's words; he understood Dean Hongchen's intentions.

The dean didn't mean to make things difficult for him; he just wanted to provide him with financial support by buying grilled fish at a high price.

"Thank you for your support, Dean! But I'm selling grilled fish not because I lack resources, but to help my roommate."

"For the Heavenly Strategy Sword? Well, he does sell grilled fish, and he even goes to the Soul Arena, so we should definitely mention his business."

Jing Hongchen stared at Huo Yuhao, wanting to hear the details.

Huo Yuhao then briefly explained what he knew about the Tian Ce family's current debts.

"So it was because of the Tian Ce family's debts."

Upon learning the reason, Jing Hongchen nodded, chuckled softly, and kept her gaze fixed on Huo Yuhao.

"Regarding the debt issue, Yuhao, you don't need to worry. I will discuss it with Tian Cejian. I won't say I'll completely satisfy him, but at least I'll come up with a solution that Tian Cejian can accept."

"So Yuhao, starting today, you don't need to sell grilled fish or sell soul tools privately anymore. You just need to focus on studying and cultivating. If you need anything, just tell me and I'll take care of it for you."

"Okay, thank you, Dean!"

Huo Yuhao respectfully thanked Jing Hongchen, who nodded in satisfaction at first, but then suddenly frowned and looked at Zhang Hong beside him:

"Zhang Hong, it's already this late, why haven't you explained the situation to Yuhao yet!"

Zhang Hong: "..."

Didn't you say you wanted to explain the situation to Huo Yuhao in person...?

He mentally scoffed, then sighed and turned to explain to Huo Yuhao:

"Yuhao, from now on, Dean Jing Hongchen will serve as your teacher, and your studies will be fully overseen by the Dean."

"teacher?!"

Huo Yuhao's eyes widened as he looked at the short, stout old man whose smile had returned to his face.

Dean Jing Hongchen was actually going to be his future teacher!
