Douluo Continent: Huo Yuhao's Path of the Knights

"Not bad, young man, your grilled fish tastes pretty good!"

While eating the grilled fish, the armored man gave Huo Yuhao a thumbs-up for his cooking skills.

"Actually, it's not so bad."

The boy blushed slightly at the praise, but his gaze remained fixed on the armored man.

The armored woman had now removed her helmet, revealing her true appearance.

"What's wrong, kid? Why are you staring at me like that? Is there something on my face?"

"Armored Guy... is he actually a girl?"

"Yes, what's wrong?"

"It's nothing, it's just that the nickname 'Armor Guy' doesn't really suit your image..."

Huo Yuhao scratched his face, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

He had always referred to the other person as "Armor Guy".

He thought the other person was a boy...

"It's just a title, don't worry about it too much. Let's hurry up and eat our grilled fish, kid."

The armored woman shrugged and continued to savor the grilled fish in her hand, until soon only the fish bones remained.

"Young man, have you ever considered making a fortune selling grilled fish?"

After finishing the grilled fish, the armored man patted Huo Yuhao on the shoulder with a smile and made a suggestion to him.

"This... I haven't thought about it."

Huo Yuhao shook his head slightly. If his mother were still alive, he might be willing to make a living by grilling fish.

But now, he only wants to fulfill his one and only obsession.

"That's true, after all, you have a long road ahead of you, and you can't grill fish for the rest of your life."

The armored man stood up, clapped his hands, then picked up a fish that the boy had grilled and walked towards the man in the trench coat.

"Hey buddy, give me a grilled fish, I've tried it, it's really good."

Upon hearing this, the man in the trench coat stared at the grilled fish in the armored man's hand for a moment, then reached out and took it.

After tasting it, the man in the trench coat gave his evaluation:

"good."

"Wow, to get this guy to give his opinion, I have to say, young man, your grilled fish is truly amazing."

"I……"

Huo Yuhao had just opened his mouth when the man in the trench coat vanished from his sight in an instant.

bang~

The next moment, a strange noise came from behind Huo Yuhao. Huo Yuhao subconsciously turned around to look, but when he saw what was happening behind him, his pupils suddenly contracted.

The "big boss" who had vanished from the spot was right behind him, holding a terrifying long snake in his hand.

The unknown serpentine spirit beast had clearly lost its life, and a purple aura appeared on its corpse.

It's a thousand-year-old soul beast!

Wow, that's powerful! He took down a thousand-year-old soul beast in an instant!

Moreover, the big shot didn't even summon his martial soul!

Huo Yuhao was shocked. A thousand-year-old soul beast that he thought he would only be waiting to die when he encountered it was killed in an instant!

"There are even thousand-year-old soul beasts here. How strange. Could they have been attracted by the grilled fish?"

The armored man approached Huo Yuhao and gently patted him on the shoulder:

"By the way, young man, do you recognize what kind of spirit beast this is?"

"I have no idea……"

"This won't do, young man. You don't even recognize spirit beasts. How will you get new spirit rings in the future? When we get to the city, we'll buy you a complete guide to spirit beasts. You'll have to study it carefully then."

"Armor guy, that's too much..."

"Hey! It's settled then. You're at the age where you need to study, you absolutely must!"

"Okay, fine."

Seeing that Armored Guy was adamant, Huo Yuhao had no choice but to accept it, but a warm feeling rose in his heart as he did so.

Aside from his mother, this was the first time anyone had ever treated him so well.

After leaving behind the corpse of the snake-like spirit beast, the man in the trench coat walked over to the two of them:

"It's time to leave."

The armored man nodded and looked at Huo Yuhao beside him, saying:

"Alright, let's go, young man. You've rested enough; it's time to continue our journey."

"Okay, Armor Bro."

Upon seeing this, the man in the trench coat immediately turned around to leave, but the man in the armor handed him the grilled fish that the other man had left unfinished.

"Hey buddy, here's your grilled fish. Don't worry, I caught it; it didn't fall on the ground."

"..."

After a moment of silence, the man in the trench coat finally accepted the unfinished grilled fish.

……

The three continued on their way, but Huo Yuhao's attention was mostly on that "big shot".

The opponent's power penetrated Huo Yuhao's heart; without summoning a martial soul, he could kill a thousand-year-old soul beast in an instant with just his physical body.

If he could possess power as great as the other person, would he be able to fulfill his inner obsession?

"What's wrong, kid? What's that little head of yours wondering about now?"

"I'm wondering how the boss became so strong, able to easily kill a thousand-year-old soul beast without even summoning his martial soul."

"This guy has always been this strong. When I met him, he was already ridiculously strong. But there's one thing I have to say: we don't actually have martial spirits."

"No martial spirit?"

Huo Yuhao's eyes widened. Such a powerful person didn't have a martial spirit?!

"That doesn't seem quite right. After all, in a sense, we do have martial spirits, but our 'martial spirits' are very different from what you think they are."

"So, what are your martial souls, Armored Guy and Boss?"

"Let's talk about it later. If you have the chance, you'll see what our 'Martial Soul' looks like."

"it is good."

Huo Yuhao nodded and didn't ask any further questions.

The three followed the road, resting when they were tired, and continuing their journey when they were rested enough.

It wasn't until nightfall that the three of them found a suitable place to spend the night.

Having traveled all day, Huo Yuhao, who was young and injured, went to bed early.

As for the armored man and the man in the trench coat, they planned to take turns keeping watch at night.

"Same as always, buddy, I'll be in the first half of the night, you'll be in the second half?"

"..."

"Speaking of which, this world is really strange. Our power changes so much here. It feels like a high-level player coming to a newbie village. It's ridiculous."

"..."

"However, although the power changes greatly, the restrictions are also stronger than in other worlds. It feels like my strength is almost completely restricted here, but even so, the destructive power of the remaining power is terrifyingly great."

"..."

"Speaking of which, do you think that boy might be the protagonist of this world? I feel he has a good chance of being one. He has a tragic background, special talents, and encounters many special things."

"..."

"Hey bro, do you think we should find him a school? Yuhao looks young, he's at the right age to go to school. We can't stay here forever, and we don't know much about this world. If he's alone, who knows how many detours he might take."

"..."

"Hey buddy, wake up, it's past midnight, it's your turn to keep watch."

"..."

"Didn't do anything? Well, looks like he really is asleep."
