Douluo Continent: Huo Yuhao's Path of the Knights

After the bombing ended, smoke and dust billowed up, and Director Lin stared at the spot where the bombing had just occurred.

Yuhao's mental detection did not extend to that area, so Director Lin could only rely on his own perception to make a judgment.

As the smoke and dust cleared, Director Lin gradually saw the uninvited guest's current state.

In the wreckage of the deep pit, the person's body was charred black and unrecognizable; he had already lost his life.

However, although the person lay motionless on the ground, Huo Yuhao's spiritual eyes issued a warning.

The warning from the Spirit Eye made the boy's heart tighten.

has a problem!

"Yuhao, Jian, we..."

Before Lin Jiayi could finish speaking, the body lying on the ground suddenly trembled violently, revealing that it was still breathing!

Lin Jiayi didn't hesitate at all and immediately activated the Soul Guidance Cannon. Dense shells rained down again, with even more firepower than before.

However, Huo Yuhao's sense of crisis did not dissipate; on the contrary, it intensified.

The danger is not over yet!

The next second, Huo Yuhao, Tian Cejian, and Lin Jiayi all froze. An unfamiliar aura entered Huo Yuhao's mental detection range without warning, and it was right behind them!

When did it appear?!

"Yuhao, the sword!"

Lin Jiayi's expression changed drastically. He immediately stopped attacking and activated his soul tool to create a thick soul tool defense shield for the two of them.

Protecting these two geniuses is the top priority right now.

The defensive shield had just taken shape when an extremely fierce attack slammed into its surface. The terrifying force caused the shield to tremble violently, but fortunately it did not shatter.

Only then did the three of them see the appearance of the attackers behind them, and they couldn't help but feel a chill.

The creature was covered in a dark red carapace with spiderweb-like patterns. It had multiple compound eyes on its head, sharp mouthparts, spider-leg-like spikes protruding from its shoulders and back, and sharp hooks on its hands. Its body was ferocious, like a blood-red spider monster.

Is it a molting adult worm or a molting adult worm?

Huo Yuhao's pupils shrank sharply. Based on the charred marks left on the alien insect, he instantly recognized that the lost person from earlier was actually this alien insect in disguise!

Huo Yuhao was startled and instantly became extremely vigilant.

Based on what we just saw, the adult alien insect that has molted is now ready to use Time-Up!

Fortunately, the spider-zombie time-rise didn't last long, otherwise they would have been killed during the time-rise long ago.

Seeing that its attack had no effect, the spider insects turned their attention to Director Lin, who was outside the protective shield.

This strange soul beast... it's somewhat similar to those green soul beasts.

Director Lin stared at the strange, eerie-looking soul beast, and couldn't help but recall the green soul beasts that had invaded Mingdu before.

However, now was clearly not the time to think about such things, and Director Lin focused all his attention on the strange soul beast.

Director Lin's attack methods are mainly long-range strikes, which is very disadvantageous for him at such a distance.

We need to create some distance first.

But before Director Lin could take any action, the attack from the spider-like insects came silently.

With no time to react and no chance to defend, the terrifying spider-like insect swung its claws at Director Lin in the gap of time!

By the time Director Lin felt the pain and tried to defend himself, it was too late.

A deep, bone-revealing wound appeared on Director Lin's chest, and his defensive soul-guided device was also knocked off.

Pain shot through his mind, and Director Lin gritted his teeth, taking out his handheld high-level soul-guided cannon as he retreated.

Although he didn't know what methods the soul beast used, the experienced Director Lin knew very well that in order to kill it, he had to seize the gap in the beast's attack.

With the determination to inflict heavy losses on both sides, Director Lin aimed the pre-loaded soul-guided cannon at the strange soul beast.

Just before the shell was fired, a white spider silk spurted out from the mouth of the strange soul beast.

The highly adhesive spider silk completely enveloped Director Lin and the soul tool in his hand.

not good!

bang~

An explosion was heard. With the launch port blocked, the shell failed to be launched and exploded inside the soul tool.

The explosion's flames engulfed everything around it, and the aftershocks even caused the protective shield to ripple.

Because their shared mental detection was always enabled, the two were able to see Director Lin's condition immediately.

The close-range explosion severely injured Director Lin, who was already wounded, causing him to fall into a coma.

The spider-like insect clearly didn't want to spare Director Lin's life, and after he fell unconscious, it thrust its claws straight at Director Lin's head.

Mental interference, mental shock!

In the moment of crisis, Huo Yuhao quickly used his first soul skill and took out the soul guide ray gun that his teacher had given him.

Under the mental shock and interference, the spider-like insect's movements faltered, and then a ray struck the insect's body directly.

Sensing the attack, the spider-like insect turned to look at the two people inside the protective shield.

"The sword... shall we use the sword for now?"

Huo Yuhao, halfway through his sentence, suddenly realized something was wrong, because Tian Ce Sword was staring intently at the spider-like insect, its eyes flashing with deep hatred.

"Don't act rashly. The sword is very powerful. We need to outsmart it, not force it."

Huo Yuhao handed another soul-guided ray gun to Tian Cejian while calmly offering his advice.

The boy was unsure of Tian Ce Jian's thoughts, but he was worried that Tian Ce Jian, whose current state was clearly not right, would rush out and fight the spider-like insect to the death.

"I see."

Taking the Soul Guide Ray Gun, Tian Ce Sword aimed at the alien insects outside the protective shield and fired the Soul Guide Ray.

They weren't without powerful soul tools, but the Zerg were extremely fast and could even perform a brief time-up, making it impossible for long-range, wide-area attacks to hit them.

The only chance was to hold them off at close range, but that was too dangerous. In addition, Director Lin was seriously injured on the ground, so the two of them could only use the ray gun to stall for time.

The two people inside the protective shield continuously fired soul-guided rays at the spider-like insects.

Two soul-guided rays were continuously fired at the alien insects. These attacks, which were threatening to the unmolted alien insect larvae, could not even penetrate the carapace of the adult insects and did not cause any effective damage.

The difference in strength between the insect before and after molting is like night and day!

Soul-guided rays cannot effectively damage adult Zerg.

They couldn't kill the spider-like insect using only the soul-guided ray!

"This can't go on. The shield's energy is limited. If this continues, we'll be the ones who die."

Huo Yuhao gritted his teeth, pondering whether he should transform directly and use the simulated soul skill to cover up the matter of the armor.

However, he is currently unable to use Time Ascension, and can only barely use Knight Kick at most, making him very passive against the Spider Insect.

"Friend, I'll hold it off for a bit. You take Director Lin into the protective shield first, and then use the advanced soul tool the dean gave you to launch a large-scale bombardment."

Suddenly, Tian Ce Sword put away the soul guide ray and took out a long sword soul guide device, which was a high-level melee soul guide device given to him by the dean.

"Don't worry about me, I also have a defensive soul tool, I'll be fine."

As soon as he finished speaking, Tian Cejian left the protective shield with his long sword.
