The Only Player in Infinite Terror

After casually crushing an insect he didn't like, the main god gave Ling Qi an unexpected surprise.

[Complete the side quest ahead of schedule, defeat Brian Elons and rescue Catherine Warren and Ben Bertolucci, and obtain two C-rank side quests, rewarding 6,000 points.]

Ling Qi recalled briefly and realized that Brian Elons was the insect he had crushed, and that he was the police chief of Raccoon City.

But this person was able to rise to power because he was completely a puppet planted by the Umbrella Corporation.

In the game's storyline, he is the police chief, but he obeys the orders of the Umbrella Corporation, deliberately locking the police force's various weapons in the warehouse and ordering the police to their deaths.

It's fair to say that without him as an inside man, the virus wouldn't have spread so quickly.

As for Catherine Warren and Ben Bertolucci, the couple is a Raccoon City mayor's daughter and a journalist who came to investigate the truth behind the T-virus leak.

In the game's storyline, one of them was killed by the perverted bureau chief and turned into a specimen, while the other was locked in a cell and eventually had his head crushed by a tyrant who came to eliminate the survivors.

They were practically born and died together; they were truly a pair of star-crossed lovers.

Because he was accompanied by Annette, her daughter, and Hank, Ling Qi slowed down his flight speed.

Even so, he quickly flew over Raccoon City Junior High School.

Just as he had expected, a bio-weapon called the Tracker, codenamed "Nemesis," was hunting down the squad led by Zhan Lan.

When Ling Qi arrived, the trench coat that this biological weapon used to restrain its immense power was already damaged, and the heavy machine gun and rocket launcher in its hands had also been destroyed.

Before setting off, Ling Qi had privately instructed Erii not to attack unless there was a fatal danger when encountering enemies.

Therefore, after Erii destroyed the tracker's heavy weapons with her Word of Power: Judgment, she started to slack off, leading her mercenaries to find their mission target, Angel, while Zhan Lan was almost fighting the tracker alone.

Although Zhan Lan's strength is not as good as the tracker's, her nerve reflexes and agility are far superior to the tracker's.

Relying on her powerful physique, psionic shield, and dimensional leaps, although the scene looked perilous, Zhan Lan didn't even break a scratch.

Seeing this, Ling Qi, who wanted to test Zhan Lan's skills, didn't rush down but continued to watch the show from the sky.

Below, Zhan Lan was delighted to spot Ling Qi's figure, but upon seeing Ling Qi's indifferent expression, the quick-witted girl instantly understood Ling Qi's intention.

Suddenly filled with motivation, she was eager to showcase the results of her training.

She walked the tracker like a dog, occasionally using her psionic powers and Desert Eagle to launch counterattacks.

Before long, the trench coat-style straitjacket used to restrain the Tracker's power was completely destroyed. Freed from restraint, the T-virus and parasites inside the Tracker went completely berserk, and a large number of fleshy tentacles grew on his body, transforming into the second stage.

After transforming, the tracker's speed increased significantly, and it also gained a large number of tentacles that could be used for attacks.

Zhan Lan, who was originally handling things with ease, suddenly found herself struggling much more.

Many obstacles and buildings had already been destroyed by the pursuers during the previous battles.

Before she knew it, Zhan Lan, whose dimensional jump was still on cooldown, managed to dodge several tentacles, but was still heavily whipped away by one of them and crashed into the wall.

Fortunately, at the moment she was hit, Zhan Lan barely had time to condense a psionic shield, which deflected some of the force, preventing her from suffering serious injuries.

After getting up from the ground, Zhan Lan gritted her teeth and unlocked the first-level gene lock.

The tide of battle turned immediately. With her combat power greatly increased, Zhan Lan was like an elegant dancer, calmly dodging every tentacle attack while accurately hitting her vulnerable spots with every bullet.

The Desert Eagle with unlimited bullets, produced by the God of War, is at least five times more powerful than its real counterpart. When the bullets hit, they leave behind huge, bloody craters on the pursuers, making them look like miniature cannonballs.

Soon, this powerful bio-weapon was battered and bruised, and fell to the ground, falling silent.

Zhan Lan breathed a sigh of relief. In just a few minutes, she had been pulling the trigger non-stop, firing at least a thousand bullets into the monster.

At that moment, Zhan Lan, whose first-stage gene lock state had ended, fell into weakness and was about to collapse to the ground.

Ling Qi left Annette, her daughter, and Hank in the sky, and instantly flew to Zhan Lan's side, grabbing her slender waist.

Although her mutated bloodline of the Spirit Race was enhanced, Zhan Lan's chest was still heavy and had not shrunk. Her figure was curvaceous and she was incredibly comfortable to hug.

Due to the extreme sensitivity brought about by her Spirit Clan bloodline, almost the instant she was embraced, the physically weak Zhan Lan felt a strong surge of pleasure travel from her waist to the top of her head.

She gave a soft hum, her beautiful eyes instantly becoming misty, and her cheeks flushed crimson.

Ling Qi pretended not to notice anything and said seriously, "Remember next time, if the main god doesn't notify you of the reward, it means the enemy might not be dead at all."

The next moment, the second-stage tracker, which had been beaten to a bloody pulp, instantly sprang out dozens of long tentacles, dragging a large number of nearby corpses and zombies back into its body and merging them.

Before long, a huge ball of flesh appeared in front of the two of them.

But the fleshy ball didn't stop absorbing corpses and zombies; it continued to roll around while searching for more "food."

"Oh my god... this is disgusting."

Looking at the deformed mass of flesh and the remains of severed limbs, Zhan Lan felt nauseous.

Ling Qi took the Vascular King out of his inventory and handed it to Zhan Lan, saying, "It should still have the power to pull the trigger, right? Let's do some damage so you can get a bigger share of the rewards later."

Zhan Lan reluctantly stood up from Ling Qi's embrace. Due to her strong physical condition and long-term adaptation to the gene lock, the only side effect of the first-level gene lock was now weakness.

After resting in Ling Qi's arms for a while, she felt much better.

Faced with Ling Qi's kindness, she did not refuse. She took the Guanmai Dawang (a weapon) and pressed the trigger firmly against the large fleshy ball.

Almost instantly, the ball of flesh was smashed to pieces, leaving a huge hole.

Ling Qi didn't waste any time and immediately summoned red flames to envelop the entire ball of flesh in flames.

The fleshy ball kept mutating and developing a body, trying to struggle in its death throes, but Ling Qi used his telekinesis to hold it down and prevent it from moving.

After being burned for several minutes, this second legendary, incredibly resilient creature also reached the end of its life, turning into white ashes that were scattered by the wind.

With the red flames returning to his body, Ling Qi could feel that his muscle strength and cell activity had increased significantly, by about one-sixth.

As for the upper limit and intensity of blood energy reserves, they have increased by about 40% to 50%.

It seems that the improvement is far less than the last time the fully evolved G-type creature was burned to death.

In reality, the strength and reserves of Lingqi blood energy were more than four times that of the beginning.

On this basis, the increase is 40% to 50%, but the actual improvement is not much smaller.

In addition, after killing the tracker, the main god notified Ling Qi that he had obtained a B-level side quest, with a reward of 5,000 points.

On the other side, Zhan Lan also received a B-level side quest, with a reward of 5,000 points.

Overjoyed by the huge harvest, she excitedly hugged Ling Qi and gave him a big kiss on the cheek.

But after the kiss, she realized what she had done, and her face instantly turned redder than a monkey's bottom.
