I am the Demon King of the Dungeon!

Chapter 101: The Method to Clear the Level

The 23rd floor, the safe zone.

Watching the Dawn Squad kill Scarlet Dreamer, the members of the Vast Expanse Squad remained silent.

Kahn hadn't come up with a method yet, Milo and Liz were skeptical about their ability to quickly kill the magician, and the oblivious Groom didn't think much of it, just waiting for orders.

Arthas knew that he had to be responsible for killing the mages summoned by Scarlet Dream in order to reduce the healing burden on the team and allow the others to focus on dealing damage.

The moment the developing crystal went out, the cave was so quiet that you could hear the faint sound of bubbles bursting in the hot spring pool.

The scene of the Dawn Squad defeating the Scarlet Dreamer is still replaying in everyone's minds, not because it was so exciting, but because the BOSS was so despairing.

Milo lay on the table, his face pressed against the cold stone surface, and said in a muffled voice, "That archbishop was amazing... his shield never broke the entire time, and we didn't even have a proper healer."

"We have Captain Kahn," Liz said, leaning against the wall with her arms crossed, her gaze fixed on the glowing fluorite on the cave ceiling. "But the captain's magic is meant for offense, not for throwing it around like Ignatius does."

"Why think so much?" Groom stood at the cave entrance, carrying the new shield, glanced outside, then turned and walked back. "Just do whatever the captain says."

Kahn sat cross-legged beside the stone table, his hands folded on his knees, his eyes in meditation. Arthas noticed that his fingers, resting on his knees, would tap lightly every few breaths.

That was Kahn's habit when he was thinking.

Arthas was also thinking.

The mechanism of Scarlet Dreams is not complicated.

The solution for the Dawn Squad is simple: the Archbishop protects the entire team, the Druid tanks the boss, and the others prioritize dealing with the smaller monsters.

However, the job assignments are different.

The Vast Expansion Squad cannot fight like this.

Grum is a heavy-armored warrior who must withstand Scarlet Dream; Cain has the highest damage in the team, but lacks mobility skills and is slow at switching targets; Milo is an earth mage who has survival skills, but his damage is not high; Liz is a sharpshooter ranger with enough output, but she is fragile.

Arthas's gaze swept across everyone's faces.

This team needs someone to step up.

Besides Kahn, we need someone else to solve the problem.

"I have a plan."

All eyes turned to Arthas at the same time.

Kahn opened his eyes and tilted his chin slightly toward Arthas, signaling him to continue.

Arthas walked to the stone table, dipped his finger in the water from the teacup, and drew a circle on the table.

"The Scarlet Dream has three layers of threat. The first layer, Petrifying Light, can be avoided by turning your back, so that's not a problem. The second layer, Charm, cannot be dispelled, lasts for only ten seconds, and the charmed person cannot use skills."

He drew three small circles around the circle.

"The real threat is the third layer, the summoned mages. The frost mage's slow, the fire mage's knockback, and the arcane mage's bombs—if these three skills aren't dealt with, the formation will be in chaos in less than ten seconds."

Milo looked up from the table and asked, "The speed at which we can eliminate mages is crucial, but what about our damage..."

"I'll handle it." Arthas pointed to the center of the circle. "After the battle begins, you just need to deal with Scarlet Dream. After the three mages spawn, I will prioritize killing the arcane mage, and then deal with the frost and fire mages."

"You're going to kill three mobs by yourself?" Liz frowned. "Is your damage output enough?"

"Arcane magic is the biggest threat, but frost and fire mages can be dealt with slowly." Arthas gestured with his fingertips on the table, indicating a movement path. "I can lure them to the edge of the arena and kill them one by one."

"Wait a minute." Milo propped himself up, his expression full of suspicion, and pressed, "What if you've been bewitched?"

"Then it's up to you." Arthas looked at Milo and explained, "I've been targeted by Charm, so you'll need to use the earthen wall to separate me from the team."

Groom stepped forward, patted Arthas on the shoulder, and said, "You've got guts, kid!"

"Are you confident?" Kahn's voice was calm, but his eyes remained fixed on Arthas's face, as if judging whether this Gold-rank adventurer truly possessed the strength or was merely putting on a brave face.

Arthas met Kahn's gaze.

"have."

One word, no more, no less.

Kahn stood up from the stone bench, casually stretched his shoulders, and his joints made a cracking sound.

"Then let's play according to Dick's plan."

……

The twenty-third floor, the BOSS room.

The dark purple crystal chandelier still emitted an eerie light, casting five shadows onto the velvet carpet.

Crimson Dreamer leaned against the chaise longue, her deep red lips slightly upturned, "Five more guests have arrived~ It's quite lively today~"

Her gaze swept over the five people one by one, finally landing on Arthas. She paused for a moment, a subtle, unusual glint in her alluring eyes.

"Groom, keep the boss engaged. Captain Karn and Liz, maintain your DPS. Milo, watch for the timing of the earthen wall," Arthas whispered. "Leave the mage to me."

"open!"

Kahn was the first to rush out.

Holy light condensed into a golden sphere in his palm and smashed straight at the crimson dreamer on the chaise longue.

Scarlet Dreamer flipped and leaped into the air, a dark purple shockwave exploding from her palm and colliding with the holy light.

Groom charged forward with his shield raised, blocking Scarlet Dream.

Hatred is established.

"Double Arrow!"

Liz fired her arrows in rapid succession, two of them striking Scarlet Dream's bat wings with pinpoint accuracy, restricting her movements.

The battle is on track.

Arthas did not rush to make a move. He stood in the middle of the group, his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings of the hall.

Scarlet Dream's pupils changed from crimson to grayish-white.

"Petrify! Turn around!"

At the same moment, the five people turned their backs to the BOSS, and a grayish-white light exploded from behind them, grazing their backs.

"Turn back!"

All five turned around at the same time, maintaining uninterrupted damage output.

Arthas is still waiting, waiting for the mage to refresh.

Scarlet Dream's health has dropped to 80%.

Three figures appeared out of thin air in the right corner of the hall.

The first wave includes one mage of each attribute.

The arcane mage stood at the very back, a dark purple orb of light pressing between his hands as he chanted.

"They're here."

The arcane mage was only halfway through his incantation when Arthas was already in front of him, his holy silver longsword rising from below, the blade precisely slashing at the arcane mage, interrupting the incantation.

The fire mage launched Arthas away, followed by the frost mage's slowing effect, allowing the arcane mage to create distance.

"Ice Arrow!"

Arthas slowed the arcane mage down, and while the other two mages were chanting, he closed in on the arcane mage again. Sandworm Thorns slashed horizontally, and Quicksand Bind was triggered. Quicksand exploded beneath its feet, and its movement speed plummeted.

The arcane mage was forced to stand still, raising his hands in an attempt to reassemble his magic.

"Weapon Enchantment (Fire)!"

Arthas crossed his twin swords, unleashing a furious barrage of attacks on the arcane mage.

The first one fell to the ground.

The entire process takes no more than thirty seconds.

Kahn caught a glimpse of Arthas out of the corner of his eye and secretly calculated that the Dawn Squad was being attacked by Eleanor and Lolota, and it would take them several tens of seconds each time.

That kid's damage is that high?

The frost mage and fire mage's spells struck Arthas again, but fortunately, they weren't very powerful.

After being thrown back by the fire wave, Arthas accelerated and rushed towards the two mages.

On the other side of the battlefield.

The Vast Expansion Squad is progressing very smoothly, handling both the Charm and Petrify Light in an orderly manner.

Moreover, with Arthas present, the battlefield was not as chaotic as expected. It was unclear whether this was intentional on the part of Scarlet Dreamer or simply good luck that he was not charmed.

In the end, Scarlet Dream collapsed.
