I am the Demon King of the Dungeon!

Chapter 132 The Request of a Purebred Elf

Chapter 132 The Request of a Purebred Elf

The next morning.

When Arthas woke up in the inn, the sky outside the window was just beginning to lighten. He subconsciously checked that his Vivre Card was intact before getting up to wash.

There are many things to do today.

Go to the front desk, look through the list, and select the second member.

A fighter, someone who isn't afraid to die, and someone you can trust.

The three conditions sound simple, but in the Dawn of Light, the number of people who are considered suitable can be counted on one hand.

Alsace pushed open the hotel door.

There weren't many pedestrians on the street yet. The bakery clerk was putting freshly baked rye bread on the shelves, and a few early-rising new adventurers were squatting at the guild entrance waiting for it to open.

Arthas walked toward the headquarters of the Dawn of Light, and stopped just after turning past the fountain in the central square.

A familiar figure stood beside the fountain.

Her long, silvery-white hair reached her waist, gleaming with a cold luster in the morning light. Her skin was as white as porcelain, and her features were delicate and aloof, like a meticulously sculpted statue. Her pale blue eyes looked at Arthas without any emotional fluctuation.

Arthas recognized the person before him; it was the elf who had vanished using "Natural Concealment" at the gates of Dark Hemkas on the first day he left the dungeon.

"You." Arthas stopped and met the elf's gaze. "What are you doing here?"

"I'll wait for you." The elf's voice was clear and cold, like a stream flowing over stones in winter.

"wait for me?"

"From the day you left Dark Hemkas."

Arthas was silent for a moment. He knew that elves were very patient, so much so that "years" could be used as a unit of measurement for waiting, but being followed by pure-blooded elves all the way from Dark Hemkas to Holy City was not a pleasant feeling.

"What do you want to do?"

"Let's make a deal."

The fairy rose from the fountain, her movements so light that her skirt barely swayed.

"This is not the place to talk."

Arthas and the elf walked across the square and turned into a quiet, narrow alley. The alley was deep, with towering stone walls on both sides, covered with ivy. Sunlight couldn't penetrate, and there was a damp, musty smell in the air.

The two entered a bungalow.

Behind the door was a small room with simple furniture: a table, two chairs, a single bed covered with a white sheet, and several potted green plants of unknown species on the windowsill, their leaves turning yellow, clearly neglected.

The elf sat down on one side of the table.

"sit."

Arthas sat down opposite him.

"What's your name?"

"Luna Hill Starsong".

Arthas had seen this surname in the Adventurers' Guild's archives before; Starsong was an elven noble.

What do you want?

Luna Hill took a neatly folded parchment from her sleeve and pushed it in front of Arthas.

A human-shaped outline was drawn on the paper, and inside the outline were densely packed characters in fine Elvish language.

"The Sunwell." Luna Hill pointed to the bottom of the parchment. "At its deepest point lies the corpse of a human."

Arthas's pupils contracted slightly.

"A corpse?"

"Yes." Luna Hill's voice was cold, and her speech was slower than before. "Three hundred years ago, a hero fell in the North, and his body was frozen in the deepest part of the Sunwell. Only by defeating Malygos can it be retrieved."

"You want that corpse?"

"I want it." Lunahill looked directly at Arthas. "The Order too."

The alley was quiet, so quiet that you could hear the rustling of ivy leaves on the wall in the morning breeze.

"The Order colluded with the Kingdom of Grasha's, recruiting adventurers to conquer the Sunwell—" Arthas tapped his fingers lightly on the table, "...for that corpse?"

"right."

"What was so special about that corpse?"

"He is my captain."

Arthas stopped tapping his fingers on the table.

"Human heroes." Luna Hill's voice was completely calm. "Three hundred years ago, our team killed countless monsters together. After the peace treaty was signed, the team disbanded and we went our separate ways."

"Over the years, I've seen other teammates leave one after another, but I never heard from the captain. One day, I unexpectedly learned of his death, and I wanted to give him a proper burial."

"I understand." Arthas leaned back in his chair, looking at the elven princess before him. "Because the Order has begun to take active action, you are worried that the body will be taken away, so you hope I can help you."

"Yes."

Arthas suddenly remembered what Samigina had said: "Next time we meet, I won't use a vessel. I'll play with you properly with my real body."

The "container" is the hero's corpse.

"Why are you looking for me?"

"Because you are the progenitor dragon god, Arthas Dicker Illidan, I've known that since day one."

Arthas narrowed his eyes.

"Aren't you afraid of me?"

"I'm afraid. That's why I've been observing, but now the cult is determined to win, and there's no time left."

Aren't you curious why I left the dungeon?

"No, I just want to get the captain's body back."

Upon hearing this, Arthas's gaze sharpened.

Perception.

As expected of a hero's teammate —

"Okay." Arthas could see sincerity in Luna Hill's eyes, and he also needed a teammate.

Luna Hill's eyes lit up for a moment.

"What are the conditions?"

"It's simple." Arthas stood up. "You'll join my party and come with me to the Sunwell."

"it is good."

"We'll be departing in three days."

"I will wait for you at the Sunwell."

Luna Hill pushed open the window, and the morning light poured in, illuminating the entire room. Her figure gradually blurred in the light, like a drop of water merging into the ocean.

Naturally hidden.

It was exactly the same as the time at the entrance to Dark Hemkas.

"Pure-blooded elf," Arthas said softly, standing in the empty room.

Headquarters of Dawn of Light.

Alsace pushed open the door and entered the hall.

The receptionist was organizing forms. Seeing him enter, she looked up and said, "Mr. Dick Reynolds, the commander instructed that you can view the chapter's member list at any time. Would you like it now?"

"Yes, thank you."

Alsace took the register and flipped through it page by page.

Groom, Milo, Liz, Logan, Sylvia, Richie, Avira, Carter, Eleanora, Lolota, Ignatius —

Almost all of those familiar names still need to rest.

The cost of conquering Dark Hemkas is simply too high.

Arthas was considering the types of players he would play.

We currently have a Holy Arbiter who can tank and heal, and a Dancer who can deal damage and heal. Ideally, we could also find a magic damage dealer and a ranged damage dealer.

Once inside the dungeon, magic cannot be used, so he can use a shield to help the team absorb damage.

I flipped through it for a moment.

Alsace stopped on a certain page.
