Marvel: Wonka's Chocolate Factory
Chapter 62 Journey to Asgard
"Tony, Asgard, also known as the Realm of Gods, is a powerful force in the universe. The main reason why Earth, so weak, has been able to develop peacefully to this day without being invaded by alien forces is Asgard."
"In the universe, Earth is within Asgard's sphere of influence, and humanity has been subordinate to another power since its inception. Although Asgard does not have actual control over Earth for various reasons, Earth has always carried the mark of Asgard."
Willy Wonka's words shattered Tony's mental defenses; he hadn't expected the truth to be like this.
Tony was somewhat distraught. The truth was rather cruel; in Tony's view, the human condition was no different from that of a domesticated pet.
Especially for Tony himself, as a top official in the country, he had never been aware of such news before. Neither the military nor the White House had informed him of this.
This shows that Asgard and Kamar-Taj did not treat Earth as an equal.
However, the fact that Willy Wonka knew this inside information must mean he had connections with both of these forces.
Tony, being both flexible and resourceful, immediately tried to humbly extract information from Willy Wonka. Even trivial matters would suffice, as they would enrich the database, allowing for the creation of models for analysis later on.
"Willy Wonka, please, could you tell me something about Asgard and Kamar-Taj? I'm willing to give you a 70% discount on the spaceship, and Tottoland can postpone the payment."
While the US dollar hasn't become worthless for Willy Wonka, it's no longer very useful.
Once trade relations are established with Asgard, Willy Wonka is prepared to introduce his own currency. As for the spaceships ordered from Stark Industries, he was already prepared to postpone payment.
They can just make up some excuse and pay in dollars after the Tottoland fleet completes its first transaction in space.
Willy Wonka will then carry out de-dollarization within the Totland Group, and handing over the greenbacks to Stark Industries will not affect Totland's own resource integration.
"Tony, that's not fair of you. We've fought side by side as allies, you can't treat me like a fool."
Tony was speechless for a moment, never expecting that Willy Wonka had seen through his plan.
Upon learning that Earth was under Asgardian influence, Tony already understood that the dollar would rapidly depreciate after Stark Industries and the Totto Land Corporation made contact with the universe.
However, the contract signed with the Totland Group specified the currency as US dollars, and Tony did not have the power to force Willy Wonka to change the currency of payment.
Therefore, exchanging funds whose value was destined to decrease significantly for news about Asgard and Kamar-Taj was a way to secure a portion of the return. It was better than ending up with a pile of worthless paper.
Businesses bear all risks, and Stark Industries is destined to suffer this hidden loss.
However, Willy Wonka still gave Tony a chance.
"Tony, I'll trade you a suit of armor for a trip to Asgard."
Upon hearing Willy Wonka's words, Tony immediately prepared to have Jarvis send over a set of the latest Mark IV.
Willy Wonka stopped Tony: "Not the current armor. I don't need this junk. I want you to do everything in your power to build me a suit of armor in the future, when I need it."
These current, mediocre suits of armor are of no use to Willy Wonka, but he believes that Tony will eventually be able to create armor that can help him.
After a moment's thought, Tony immediately decided to make a deal with Willy Wonka, exchanging an uncertain future for a stable present. Tony knew how to do it in the best interest of himself.
"Willy Wonka, it's a deal. You can contact me whenever you need me, and I'll use the best technology I have to create a custom suit of armor for you."
Without further ado, Willy Wonka, seeing that Tony had agreed to his deal, immediately told Tony to go back and prepare, and that they would depart for Asgard that very night.
He also needed to go back and make some preparations in advance, such as preparing all the goods in the store, especially all kinds of fruit wines.
To conquer Asgard with goods, one must pave the way with fine wines. Willy Wonka is confident that the various flavorful wines of Totland will surely win over the stomachs of the Asgardians.
Willy Wonka is planning to bring Alex Browning along this time. Alex Browning, the first Devil Fruit user to attempt to use the Devil Fruit, is the right shop manager in Willy Wonka's mind.
Alex Browning ate a Devil Fruit, so he's definitely one of us. Especially since the Zoan-type Devil Fruit granted him immense power, making his physical attributes far surpass those of ordinary people.
Send Alex to Asgard to manage the shops in Totto Land; with a little training, he can be entrusted with important responsibilities.
Of course, there is another crucial reason: after Alex ate the fruit, Willy Wonka discovered that he could influence him through the Chocolate Fruit Tree.
With so many reasons combined, Alex is the best candidate to go to Asgard.
Tony used this time to make quite detailed preparations, and spent an afternoon making a small upgrade to the armor.
When he reappeared before Willy Wonka, his armor was equipped with various information-gathering devices.
Willy Wonka was speechless. Looking at the various devices Tony had brought, he thought Tony could switch careers and become a spy.
"The Asgardians aren't blind; they won't allow you to gather information so openly. You're acting ridiculously, like you're preparing to install a camera next to Odin's bed."
Tony has an arrogance; he arrogantly believes that humans should be the masters of the world, and he is hostile to Asgard, the legendary kingdom of gods.
However, entering Asgard with such an attitude would certainly cause unnecessary trouble.
The Asgardians don't care about your identity. For the glory of Odin, they will most likely beat Tony black and blue for being hostile to Asgard.
Hopefully, the Mark IV armor will be able to withstand more damage and won't break down like it did when facing the Hulk last time.
"Willy Wonka, you've brought a little sidekick along? Aren't you going to introduce him?"
When Alex heard Tony's question, he stood aside somewhat awkwardly. He did not answer on his own, but waited for Willy Wonka's instructions.
"Alex Browning, manager of the Totland Group's Asgard candy store. Tony, Alex will probably be based in Asgard from now on, I hope you're not envious."
"And you'll probably have to put more effort into Stark Industries, otherwise in a year, Stark Industries won't be able to be compared to the Totland Group."
