Marvel: Wonka's Chocolate Factory
Chapter 79 Hulk: I support you being America's father
Willy Wonka had no idea what the consequences of his actions would be, whether good or bad; no one could guarantee it.
As his personal abilities grow, Willy Wonka needs a larger stage. With greater ability comes higher status; with higher status comes greater responsibility. Now, Willy Wonka is about to take the second step: to gain even greater status.
Willy Wonka had no idea what kind of consequences this would have. Although the Marvel Earth timeline had deviated somewhat before, it had generally followed the plot in his mind.
Willy Wonka understood that after taking that step, he would no longer have the advantage of foresight, and the familiar plot would change, becoming completely unknown.
But if the name is correct, then the words will be proper, and if the words are proper, then things will be accomplished. Just because he is an Earthling doesn't mean he can take on the responsibility of protecting the Earth.
If Willy Wonka were to silently protect the Earth like a saint while also being hampered by politicians, he would find it completely unacceptable.
So, among many choices, Willy Wonka finally chose the path that would allow him to find peace of mind.
After making all the arrangements, Willy Wonka stayed in the chocolate factory, in the flower fields at the source of the Honey River, and sat quietly among the buzzing, busy little bees.
The little bee ignored Willy Wonka and continued busily collecting nectar and making honey as usual.
Next to Willy Wonka was a large, green figure, and Hulk was diligently studying. After some time, Hulk was able to have simple conversations with people.
Willy Wonka enjoys being with the Hulk. The Hulk's innocent nature allows Willy Wonka to clear his mind and think calmly. And the Hulk's pure thoughts sometimes provide unexpected insights.
The honeybees weren't very welcoming of Hulk; they felt that this not-so-clean big guy was polluting the flower field and would contaminate the honey they were making.
However, with Willy Wonka present, the little bees could only tolerate the big green guy who would pick his nose every now and then and wipe it haphazardly everywhere.
"Dad, Hulk is making progress; he's been reading a lot lately."
Hulk grumbled, then reached up and scratched his butt, only to remember that Willy Wonka had taught him about hygiene. He then sheepishly touched the grass with his hand and sat up straight, pretending nothing had happened.
"Dad, Hulk heard from Frank that you've been having some troubles lately. Is someone bullying you? Dad's telling Hulk that Hulk will help you get revenge."
Hulk spoke with a fierce expression, his eyes flashing with the ruthlessness he once displayed when he smashed tanks. His understanding of trouble was being bullied, just like when he was chased around like a dog before he met his father.
So Hulk genuinely wanted to help Willy Wonka beat people up. Even after receiving some education, Hulk still found it difficult to shake off his childlike nature.
Willy Wonka did not answer Hulk's question immediately, but first corrected the way Hulk addressed him.
"Hulk, you should call him Uncle Frank, not Frank like I do."
Hulk lowered his head somewhat embarrassed, feeling that this was a form of criticism from his father because he hadn't followed Willy Wonka's instructions.
"Dad, Uncle Frank doesn't want me to call him 'uncle.' He told me to just call him Frank like you do, Dad. Hulk knows he was wrong. From now on, Hulk will listen to Dad and call him Uncle Frank."
Hulk readily admitted his mistake, remembering that his father had taught him in his previous studies that only by acknowledging and correcting mistakes could one make progress.
"Hulk, what do you think of Daddy being president?"
Hulk bit his finger, not answering the question immediately, but thinking. Willy Wonka's vision blurred at the sight. If he wasn't mistaken, Hulk had just scratched his butt, and the hand he was using to bite his finger was the same one.
But Willy Wonka, seeing Hulk looking unusually serious, didn't immediately correct him, but waited for his answer.
Willy Wonka made a mental note that he would specifically emphasize hygiene to Hulk later.
Hulk frowned. He really wanted to answer Willy Wonka's question, especially since he had been studying for a long time and wanted to offer some of his own insights.
However, a problem loomed before Hulk, and the biggest reason for his silence at this moment was not that Hulk was agonizing over what would happen if Willy Wonka became president.
Hulk didn't know what the president was, and he was racking his brains trying to recall any memories of the president from his mind.
Unfortunately, Hulk failed. In his spare time between studying, Hulk would watch TV programs for entertainment. However, his beloved cat and mouse did not teach him any relevant knowledge.
After thinking for a long time, Hulk realized he was powerless to solve the problem. He said somewhat sheepishly:
"Dad, Hulk doesn't know what the president is."
After Hulk finished speaking, he gave a憨厚 smile, revealing his off-white canine teeth. To cover his embarrassment, Hulk pulled out a palm-sized piece of chocolate from his pocket.
"Dad, have a piece of chocolate first. It's super delicious. Uncle Frank prepared it especially for me."
Willy Wonka didn't want to eat Hulk's chocolate, even though it was really delicious. This marshmallow chocolate was specially made by Willy Wonka for Frank as a reward for Hulk's progress in his studies.
Willy Wonka often eats these marshmallow chocolates; their soft, fluffy texture is quite unique. But he'd rather not have the one Hulk offers.
It's a bit late to try and explain the concept of a president to Hulk now, and even if you break it down in detail, Hulk might not be able to understand it.
So Willy Wonka changed his approach, using simple and clear language to tell Hulk.
"Hulk, you can think of the president as everyone's elected father. If I am elected President of the United States, it means everyone agrees that I should be their father. From now on, in this big family of America, when I speak, it will be like a father speaking, and everyone will listen."
Hulk understood after Willy Wonka's explanation. His eyes darted around, showing a conflicted expression.
Hulk was a little lost. Now Willy Wonka was his father alone, and Hulk didn't want Willy Wonka to be someone else's father, but Hulk also wanted everyone to listen to what Willy Wonka said.
This was a very difficult choice for Hulk, who had a childlike heart; he didn't want to share his "dad" with anyone.
Finally, Hulk nodded heavily. He had sorted out his thoughts and said very seriously, "Dad, I support you becoming president. I want you to be everyone's dad."
