Chapter 135 Goal: Superior Feat
Some speculations about the awakening of special talents:
Abstract: As is well known, specialization has always been a powerful auxiliary tool for mages in combat, spiritual practice, and even daily life.
From transforming the world to producing a tiny horseshoe, expertise can be applied in many ways.
With the help of their expertise, monks can often do things that other monks cannot do or even imagine.
It is one of the important "ingredients" that distinguishes each mage from the others.
However, due to the unpredictability and uncontrollability of awakened feats, it is quite difficult and complicated to awaken a powerful feat in the desired direction when ascending to higher levels.
This article will first introduce some current consensus among mages regarding feat awakening, and then, through extensive research and analysis, will lead to a new hypothesis about feat awakening:
The number of spells mastered affects feat awakening.
This leads to a bolder approach to "controlling" the awakening of one's expertise.
Keywords: Faction Awakening, Number of Spells
introduction:
Is the awakening of special talents truly unpredictable or uncontrollable?
Obviously, this is not absolute.
We all know that if a mage does not have any damaging spells, they will basically not awaken a combat feat.
If a mage is extremely skilled in potions, alchemy, or even runic writing, they will most likely awaken a support feat in that area.
In short, predecessors have summarized a considerable number of patterns regarding the awakening of expertise, which will not be elaborated here.
Awakening to a more powerful specialization has always been something many mages have sought but could not obtain.
In this regard, the experience given by predecessors is as follows:
The more spells one masters, the deeper one's knowledge, and the stronger one's magical and spiritual power, the higher the likelihood of awakening a powerful specialization of a certain type.
This is a rather vague experience, which can be summarized as: if you do your best in everything, your awakened expertise will naturally become stronger.
This may be true, but it is also useless—every mage has limited energy and time, so it is impossible to be perfect in every aspect.
Therefore, analyzing which factor has the greatest impact on the strength of awakened feats is truly practical.
After reviewing a large amount of information, I discovered a fact:
A genius mage often awakens an even more powerful specialization.
This is not a coincidence; there must be a constant internal factor influencing the intensity of the awakened specialty.
What do genius mages have in common?
It's magic.
Rapid progress in cultivation and extensive knowledge do not necessarily make one a genius mage, but a genius mage will certainly learn magic extremely quickly.
For them, constructing spell models is much simpler; it's a talent, a mage's talent.
Therefore, genius mages possess far more spells than ordinary mages.
Could it also be understood that the number of spells a mage masters has a significant positive impact on the strength of the mage's awakened feats?
analysis:
Since one of the three fundamental principles of mages is "never let others know your spells," exploring a mage's spellbook has always been a major taboo.
This presents a significant challenge to verifying this conjecture.
Fortunately, the only speculation about the awakening of specializations is the number of spells a mage possesses, not the specific spells.
In addition, what is needed is only the number of spells a mage has mastered when advancing to the Awakening feat, not the number of spells currently mastered, which further reduces the difficulty of the verification process.
However, for mages, special skills are even more closely guarded secrets than spells.
Therefore, we cannot know the specific strength of each mage's awakened feats; we can only conduct a simple analysis based on the consensus among everyone.
After some difficult exploration, we obtained eleven cases for analysis—the sample size is a bit small, but that's all we could do, and we could only analyze one area of expertise.
The first case study is of my mentor, Elijah George.
As is well known, Aria George, as one of the spellcasting mentors, awakened her combat feat when she was promoted to a first-circle mage.
Although the specific effects are unknown, this combat specialty did indeed make Elijah George a top-tier mage among the trainees in terms of combat power.
Based on this performance, I tentatively classify his awakened combat proficiency as level two (I will tentatively divide proficiency strength into five levels: super one, two, three, and four).
When Elijah George awakened a first-level feat, he possessed 21 spells.
Jesh Bytes has 14 third-class feats.
K'Arias has 12 third-tier specialization spells.
Bette Fleming has 17 third-class feats.
Flori Dale has 22 second-class feats.
All of the above samples were taken from instructors or students in the college.
The awakened specialties of the mages in this academy are mostly at least level three, lacking extreme examples for reference, so I obtained two more samples from outside.
Nezel Ferrari, a first-circle mage who started as a wild mage, has not received formal mage training and is currently a potion master.
Its first-level feat is of level four, and when the first-level feat is awakened, the number of spells mastered is 9.
Ronan Horry, the first headmaster of Cyrus Academy, is known for his achievements. As a first-ring mage, he already showed his talent. His first-ring feat was a combat feat that could increase spell power, so it would not be far off if it were rated as a first-class feat.
According to later records, he likely mastered more than 30 spells during his apprenticeship as a mage.
In conclusion, we can draw the following deduction:
The strength of a mage's awakened feats is greatly influenced by the number of spells the mage possesses.
Under the design of this article, when awakening a first-level feat, if the number of spells mastered is less than 10, the awakened feat strength is level four.
Within the range of 10-20, the strength of awakened specializations is level three.
Within the range of 20-25 or 20-30, the awakened feat strength is level two.
At level 25 or 30 or above, the strength of awakened specializations can reach the first tier.
Since no samples of super-specialized skills could be found, no corresponding inferences can be made. However, I would like to make a bold conjecture here:
To achieve a Superior level in awakened Ring 1 feat, you need to master more than 35 spells before advancing to Ring 1!
Summary and Outlook:
Due to the small sample size, the derivation in this paper has many limitations, and many inferences are merely guesses.
However, I believe that as the demand for mages to enhance their awakened feats becomes increasingly prominent, and as research deepens and the number of mages willing to provide "information" samples increases, this demand will continue to grow.
The hypothesis regarding the impact of the number of spells mastered on the strength of awakened feats will inevitably be verified more accurately.
Regardless of the accuracy of the data in this inference, it can be concluded that the more spells one masters, the stronger one's awakened feat.
There are currently around fifty magic tricks, and at most no more than sixty, including rare spells.
To awaken a super feat, one needs to have mastered at least 35 spells, which means mastering more than 70% of spells during the apprenticeship stage.
However, even the most talented mage, during their apprenticeship, would need at least 2-3 months to construct a spell model for a magic trick.
Therefore, to achieve this requirement, the demands on time, energy, talent, and even mindset are extremely high, making it almost impossible.
However, I still hope that in the future, a mage will emerge in this academy who has mastered more than 35 spells during the mage apprenticeship stage, to verify whether the last point of my conjecture in this article is true!

Gao De read Björn Otero's "Some Speculations on the Awakening of Expertise" with great concentration.
Sure enough, how could "documents" that were recognized by the academy and placed in the library not contain anything of substance? He thought to himself with a sigh.
I've struck gold!
Discovering this graduation project is a real stroke of luck for Gaode Maps.
Because he is very likely the only person in Cyrus Academy, or even the entire Duchy of Sean, who has the means to verify Björn Otero's conjecture about "superpowers".
"Even the most talented mage, at the mage apprentice level, would need at least 2 to 3 months to construct a spell model for a magic trick."
This is under the premise of being a third-class Dharma Master apprentice.
If it's below this level, it will take even longer to build a spell model.
In other words, one needs to master more than 35 magic tricks during the apprenticeship stage of a mage.
Under normal circumstances, even a genius mage, even if they only begin learning spells at the highest efficiency during the third-level mage apprenticeship stage, will still need 6-9 years.
The golden age for advancing to the first ring mage is before the age of twenty.
No one would miss the golden period to advance to a first-circle mage just for this "super feat" that is merely a conjecture.
But Gaode Maps is different.
He can construct a magic model for a trick in about ten days.
What's holding Gaode back is simply how to obtain 35 spell recipes!
