John walked slowly up the stairs, a gun in his hand.

His mind is a bit muddled right now, and he's acting almost entirely on instinct—a side effect of being high on drugs.

He knew perfectly well what he was doing. He had simply taken a gun and fired a few shots at the restaurant's glass. It was no big deal; he hadn't accidentally hurt any passersby.

He simply wanted to teach those two a lesson. Judy's identity was rather special, so he couldn't be too aggressive, but the other little guy wasn't so lucky. As long as he didn't kill the other person and kept his distance, he would be fine.

John chuckled softly, his pupils dilated, and his eyes were bloodshot.

He had done this kind of thing many times before, so he knew what he was doing. As long as he didn't go too far, his father would get him out of trouble.

Moreover, he also has a certificate issued by a mental hospital, which is his talisman.

He had reached the second floor and stopped by the stairwell. He glanced around but didn't see anyone. The floor was covered in shattered glass, tables and chairs were overturned, and tableware was scattered everywhere, making it look like a complete mess.

John walked forward through the shattered glass, his finger on the trigger, the muzzle slightly lowered. He took a deep breath, feeling increasingly excited.

Just then.

boom!

A muffled thud suddenly came from behind him. He quickly turned around and saw a table that had inexplicably fallen to the ground, making a jarring crashing sound.

John walked over with a gloomy expression, kicked the table aside, only to find nothing behind it.

But then, a figure suddenly darted out from behind another table that had fallen to the ground!

Charles grabbed a chair and, without hesitation, swept it across John's knee!

click!

The sound of bones shattering was immediately and clearly heard!

John's knee was struck hard, causing him to lose his balance instantly. He staggered backward, screaming in pain.

"F*** you! Kid, what the hell have you been doing?!"

The next second, without any hesitation, Charles turned and ran while John was lying on the ground screaming. Meanwhile, Judy had already evacuated the restaurant from the stairwell as he had arranged.

John gritted his teeth, his whole body wracked with pain, and he instinctively raised his gun.

boom!

The bullet grazed the ceiling. He was too injured to withstand the recoil of the pistol, and even though he tried desperately to aim at Charles, the muzzle still deviated significantly.

"Fuck you, kid, I'll make you pay!"

Charles, of course, couldn't hear these words. He and Judy had already gone around to the back door of the restaurant. The front door was no longer an option; if John caught up, the area was too open and it could easily lead to trouble.

John struggled to his feet and limped down the slope.

......

Ciel, holding Judy's hand, ran desperately through the heavy snow, never stopping for a moment and not daring to look back.

The wind and snow almost completely obscured his vision, and he could no longer discern directions. He could only rely on his memory to run wildly toward the hotel where the film crew was located.

It was late at night, and there were hardly any pedestrians on the streets. It was impossible to seek any help, and relying on the cops was even more unreliable. Only returning to the film set would ensure safety.

hum!

The roar of a sports car engine suddenly came from behind the two of them, and the blinding headlights instantly illuminated their backs. Charles turned around to look.

John sat in the driver's seat, his expression ferocious, and drove the sports car straight toward their location with near madness!

"Fuck! Has this guy gone mad?"

Charles's heart sank. He quickly led Judy into a nearby alley. The road was narrow and cars couldn't drive in; they had to take a long detour.

But this can't go on forever; they'll catch up sooner or later, and the film crew won't have time to get back. We have to come up with another way.

boom! boom! boom!

A series of gunshots came from behind, interrupting Charles's thoughts. Bullets whizzed past the wall, and he shielded Judy in front of him, taking cover behind her.

But by this time, both of them were already panting, and the cold wind kept blowing into their collars, making the situation worse and worse.

Charles suddenly thought of a place where he could definitely shake off this guy.

"Follow me!"

......

John stopped the car and staggered out of the driver's seat.

He drove slowly behind the two men, enjoying the pleasure of creating a sense of oppression, though he was inevitably affected by the hallucinations that came with the drugs.

He just didn't expect that these two guys would actually run into a maze and hide, thinking they could escape like that?

John unconsciously let out a strange laugh, his vision slowly spinning, and then he went inside.

The entire maze was covered in snow, and messy footprints could be vaguely seen on the ground. They looked very chaotic and as if they had just been stepped on and had not yet been covered.

John gripped his gun tightly as he followed the footprints.

"Judy, I'm coming, I'll be right there... Don't run away anymore, don't get away again!!!"

His facial expression grew increasingly frantic, and even his body movements began to distort; the hand holding the gun trembled uncontrollably.

John stared at the footprints on the ground and came to a fork in the road, but when he got there, the footprints suddenly disappeared.

He was completely disoriented and frantically shouted on the spot:

"F*** you! Judy, where the hell are you? Get out here right now!"

next second.

John suddenly noticed a huge shadow behind him, followed by a rough voice:

"Hey kid, I don't know where this Judy you're talking about is, but you high addict, it's time to hit the road."

"Here's Johnny!"

Jack swung his baseball bat and slammed it directly into the back of John's head.

boom!

John was already somewhat slow to react, and before he could even fire, he was hit precisely and fell into the snowdrift.

Jack glanced at the baseball bat in his hand with satisfaction and muttered:

"This thing is much more effective than a gun... Alright, kids, problem solved, come out now."

Jack waved, and Ciel and Judy immediately emerged from behind a snowdrift, brushed the snow off their clothes, and looked at John, who was lying unconscious on the ground.

Charles smirked. He suddenly understood why America's crime rate was so high. These high-flying guys were practically insane, completely brainless, and they could even wield guns.

Fortunately, he had a quick wit and risked his life to run to a phone booth during his escape to call the film crew and get Jack as a helper. Otherwise, who knows what might have happened.

Fuck, what has this six-year-old kid gone through in this short period of time? It's been more exciting than his entire life in his previous life.

It was just too damn exciting; my heart couldn't take it, and I almost died. To survive in America, you really need to be incredibly lucky.

Beep, beep!

The sound of sirens came from afar. Charles breathed a sigh of relief, but suddenly felt weak all over, dizzy, and exhausted.

Then, he felt himself leaning against someone.

Charles looked up and saw Judy supporting him, her eyes already glistening with tears. It had been a difficult night for both of them.

He patted the other person on the back and said:

"It's okay, it's all in the past. I said I would support you in my own way..."
