America: Child stars start with The Shining

Chapter 50 Meeting the Gang Boss

"Hey! You guys have some nerve! Daring to cause trouble on the Crippled Gang's turf, you better get the hell out of here!"

A burly black man with a shaved head strode over. He was very strong, with an old scar across his face, and his tone was so fierce that it sounded like he wanted to eat someone alive.

As he approached, he raised his hand and fired several shots into the air.

boom! boom! boom!

Gunshots echoed through the streets, startling the sirens of several parked cars in the distance.

Immediately afterwards, he pressed down hard on his wrist, and the dark muzzle of the gun was pointed directly at the Blood Gang members in front of him.

"If you don't want to die, get the hell out of here!"

The faces of the Blood Gang members immediately darkened.

They came here on purpose to cause trouble, so they couldn't be easily intimidated by a single sentence from this guy.

The men exchanged glances, stood still, and slowly reached behind their waists, preparing to draw their guns.

next second.

Suddenly, a series of hurried and chaotic footsteps came from the surroundings.

A large group of menacing-looking black men emerged from the narrow alleys on both sides of Hollywood Boulevard.

Each person was wearing a blue outfit and a blue headscarf. Their movements were swift and decisive, clearly indicating that they had been prepared in advance.

In the blink of an eye, those Blood Gang members were completely surrounded.

From all directions, a dense mass of gun barrels were pointed directly at the Blood Gang members wearing red headscarves.

The arrogant group of people who were just moments ago finally changed their expressions.

They clearly hadn't expected so many members of the Crippled Gang to be lying in ambush here, which was completely different from the intelligence they had received earlier.

The burly black man sneered and took another step forward, the muzzle of his gun almost touching the leader's forehead.

He grinned:

"What's wrong? Weren't you pretty cocky just now? Now try pulling out your gun again?"

"Get the hell out of here!"

Those people stood there, cold sweat beading on their foreheads, and could only retreat little by little.

Until one of them suddenly tripped over a raised curb behind him and stumbled, almost falling to the ground.

A burst of laughter and curses erupted from all around.

"Get out!"

"Get out of our territory, red dog!"

"If you dare come here again, you can expect to be collecting your corpses!"

Another round of undisguised laughter erupted from the surroundings. The group finally couldn't take it anymore, turned around and ran, their red headscarves whipping wildly in the wind.

Charles finally breathed a sigh of relief and stepped out from behind the wall.

Several black men immediately went to Timothy's side, helped him up, who was already somewhat delirious, and then walked out of the alley.

Charles asked Dog, who was standing next to him, "Where is this guy going to get his wound treated?"

Dog shrugged: "That's hard to say. Anyway, you absolutely can't go to a hospital. Otherwise, if we just check his records a little, we'll probably send him to jail before he even gets on the operating table."

Indeed, for Black people with gang affiliations, hospitals are definitely dangerous places.

Moreover, Timothy is a notorious repeat offender on the police's radar; if he shows up, the trouble will only get worse.

Tupac, standing nearby, added:

"Don't worry, the Cripples know some doctors who take on private jobs. They'll take care of Timothy. As for whether he'll survive... well, that depends on how tough he is."

Charles twitched the corner of his mouth but didn't reply.

The burly black man suddenly walked over, patted Dog Master on the shoulder, and praised him:

"You did a good job just now! You actually saved Timothy's life."

He had barely finished speaking when he turned his gaze to Charles, looked him up and down, and asked:

"Hey, I know you, Ciel, the little boy from The Shining, right?"

Charles nodded.

The burly black man laughed and continued:

"Ha! I knew it! Snoop Dogg has been bragging about you to us a lot!"

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Andre, you can also call me Dr. J. I'm currently a DJ at a club in Los Angeles. Feel free to come over and hang out sometime."

Charles grasped the other's large hands and suddenly paused for a moment.

WTF!? What did he just say his name was?

The name Dr. J may not be well-known now, but you should know that this guy will later, through a series of coincidences, adopt a stage name that will shake the entire music industry...

Dr. Dre!

The true creator of West Coast gangsta rap. From then on, whether it was Eminem, 50 Cent, Dogman, Tupac, or any of these guys, they were all mentored by this man.

Of course, Dr. Dre hasn't officially started his rap career yet; he won't debut until he joins NWA in 1987.

In 1988, the album "Straight Outta Compton" released by NWA brought West Coast gangsta rap to the mainstream in the most brutal way.

That feeling, with its street-smart vibe, even captivated the traditionally aloof middle class.

Charles then looked at the blue headscarf on the other person's head, which shimmered in the sunlight.

Ciel forcibly suppressed his inner excitement and released the other person's hand.

If I could sign this guy to my name, plus Madonna...

Even a money printing machine could never make as much money as him!

Just then.

A few Black children suddenly hurried over from the side:

"Something terrible has happened! The stores we work with were suddenly vandalized today by a group of Blood Gang members, and all our videotapes were smashed!"

Charles was startled. Sure enough, these guys had definitely planned this if they dared to cause trouble on Hollywood Boulevard.

First, send a group of people to attract the attention of the crippled gang, and then take the opportunity to cause trouble elsewhere.

Andrei slammed his fist on the wall and cursed:

"Fuck, I knew those Blood Gang guys were up to no good!"

Charles was having a headache. This was probably not just a simple gang conflict. Their high-profile sale of videotapes had definitely caught the attention of WMA and Paramount.

However, they could not openly prohibit this behavior, since the copyright was in Charles's hands, so they could only resort to such insidious methods behind the scenes.

Dr. Dre turned and spoke briefly with a few Black men, then walked up to Charles and said in a serious tone:

"Charles, I think it's necessary to take you to see the boss of the Crippled Gang. Only they have the ability to solve this kind of problem."
