Chapter 95 A Day for Two Girls
Chapter 95 A Day in the Life of Two Girls
When Ciel came out of the dressing room again, he looked completely different.
Aniston was chatting and laughing with Connery when she saw Charles come out, and her gaze immediately stopped on him.
A gray suit on Charles perfectly accentuated his precocious and calm demeanor.
Compared to the somberness of a dark suit, gray appears softer without diminishing its sharpness, instead giving him a more subtle feel.
Charles turned around in front of the mirror, then glanced down at his cuffs and hem, before turning to ask, "How's this outfit? Isn't it quite suitable for formal occasions?"
Aniston looked him up and down, then walked around him once, stroking her chin, and said in a deliberately serious tone, "Boss, you know what? When you wear this outfit, people might really think it's a high-end custom-made piece from some luxury brand. It really suits your style."
Connery, arms crossed, looked at Ciel's suit, and, feigning maturity, nodded slightly, saying, "It suits you very well, Ciel."
Charles nodded.
He doesn't have many requirements for this kind of clothing, as long as it doesn't look strange and is not impolite when attending events.
Since the two girls who came with him both thought it was fine, then it must be really good.
Then, Marlene had him try on a few more sets.
There were dark blue ones, beige ones, and a light-colored suit with fine stripes that looked particularly flamboyant when worn, even making Ciel himself take a second look.
However, after trying them on, the gray suit they wore at the beginning turned out to be the most suitable, and it received unanimous approval from Aniston and Connery.
As for the outfit for the Young Artist Award, a full suit is no longer acceptable.
Marlene dressed him in a light-colored shirt, paired with a neatly tailored casual blazer and dark trousers.
The overall look is much lighter and more relaxed, neither too flashy nor too informal.
Marlene was clearly very satisfied with the outfit.
She had worked in the store for many years and had seen many customers who came to choose suits for formal occasions, but this was the first time she had ever seen a suit look so good on a child.
She's practically a walking clothes hanger.
Most importantly, although Ciel's figure still retained the slenderness of a child, her proportions were excellent, and many of her clothes required almost no adjustments, which saved her a lot of trouble.
While Marlene and the shop assistant went to handle the sizing and make alterations, Charles finally came out of the fitting room, sat on the sofa next to her, and let out a long sigh of relief.
Anyway, the suit issue is finally resolved.
Aniston picked up the juice on the table, took a sip, sat down opposite him, and looking at his expression as if he had just gone through a battle, she couldn't help but say, "Boss, why do you look so tired?"
Charles twitched the corner of his mouth.
How can I not be tired?
What he fears most is situations like shopping and trying on clothes.
This is even more torturous than acting.
Charles leaned back on the sofa, sighed helplessly, and said, "I'd rather rehearse 'Oliver Twist' for another three hours than keep trying on clothes. It's just too exhausting."
Connery, sitting beside him, couldn't help but laugh and say, "But the result you just tried on was pretty good. It looks much better than the outfit you wore to the Oscars last time."
Charles did not deny this.
He himself felt that the outfits he had just tried on looked pretty good.
Indeed, when it comes to fashion, you can't completely trust your own aesthetic sense; it's definitely necessary to take other people's opinions into consideration.
"Oh, right, later..."

As soon as Charles finished speaking, he immediately sensed a change in the eyes of the two girls.
He had only meant to ask if he could go straight home after buying the clothes. After all, he was already quite tired and just wanted to get home and rest on the sofa.
Just look at the expressions on these two guys' faces now—
Things are clearly not that simple.
As expected, Aniston and Connery exchanged glances, then looked at Ciel with almost identical smiles on their faces.
Charles paused for two seconds, then finally sighed resignedly, understanding what the two guys meant. He said, "Uh, okay, let's wander around a bit more and grab lunch while we're at it, is that alright?"
The two girls, as if their scheme had succeeded, immediately clapped their hands together.
Aniston bluntly stated, "Then you'll be footing the bill for everything later, boss."
Charles almost rolled his eyes.
Sure enough, he knew Aniston had no good intentions; she was really wicked.
Please don't let Connery be corrupted by you too —
However, the next second, Connery, sitting next to him, also nodded seriously, just like Aniston, and then looked at him with bright eyes.
Xia Dun fell silent, helplessly rubbing his forehead, completely defeated.
For the rest of the time, Ciel could only accompany the two girls as they strolled around the mall again.
Clothes, hair accessories, trinkets, and some other things that looked cute for some reason but had no practical use in mind were all picked out with great enthusiasm.
Charles was responsible for standing by, nodding, paying, and carrying the bags.
When he finally got home, he was completely drained. He didn't even bother to take off his coat and just collapsed onto the sofa in the living room.
He looked up at the ceiling and suddenly realized that the biggest drain on him today wasn't trying on the suit at all.
Instead, he accompanied two overly energetic girls to the mall!
The youth rights event hosted by Reagan began quickly, without keeping Charles waiting long.
After all, Reagan's side was getting impatient.
The competition between him and Carter had reached a fever pitch, at which point the votes in any one state could determine the outcome of their contest.
Especially in California.
This place was not only where Reagan once served as governor, but also the one position he could not afford to lose.
Charles stood backstage, straightened his clothes slightly, and held a prepared speech in his hand.
The venue was brightly lit; it was an open space in front of the state government building, perfect for hosting such a large-scale campaign event.
Of course, on the surface this was still a rights-related event, but everyone knew the truth behind the scenes, and no one exposed it.
